Mortgage application was very difficult. The rules that were applied for the mortgage application differed from other mortgage companies I had contacted. It was discouraging. I would not go thru that process again. I got the mortgage, but I paid it off with the proceeds of the sale of my former home.

The process was so easy the loan officers were such a pleasure to work with any one who wants to buy a home i highly recommend lennar. They will work with you any way possible.

Everyone I have spoken to had a bad experience with Lennar, that is a bad coincidence. "The builders try to get away with short cuts and hide things". "If you do not get your own third party inspector then your home will be put together with staples" is what I was told by an existing neighbors when viewing homes and speaking to other home owners in the neighborhood. I got a great deal on the house that is the only reason I bought it, I couldn't pass it up. The area, the builder, had nothing to do with it. I don't have anything to say about Lennar, because I wasn't worried about how they treated me, I don't need to make friends, I was concerned about the home and made sure they did it right. ... More

I don't now recall the name of our builder rep because we never met him. Tim was there in his stead the whole time. Tim was great! The warranty rep was nice and responsive as well. The sale rep was also kind and helpful. I will say that the choice of using regrettably cheap paint, the state of the garage (inside) left by the builders, unfortunate choice and handling of the sod, and drops of paint left on my carpet was not cool. My ultimate negative issue is that of only having ONE external hose. It is inane that there is not one on the opposite corner or at least one in the back yard. What a huge inconvenience for the homeowner. I would expect better quality paint, appliances above the cheapest option, and a bit more care put into the garage walls and water spout placement. ... great investment home for my budget

Overall, the home buying experience was ok, it was after and the issue I had was getting creditors checks to pay my bills; it took 3 months....very unacceptable. Messages were not returned from the office on 410 and Jones Maltburger, I feel I was just ignored.

Fair work and fast responses

Got a 2 story new home it's 1,950 square feet and they installed a 2 1/2 ton unit that does not cool properly the way it should they have gone out 4 times and still can't find solution and they know that the problem is that the unit is to small for house doent cool it at all down stairs till this day they haven't resolved anything and it's been over a month!!!!

I love my new home! Each member who assisted with my experience made me feel comfortable and confident when I asked questions. I am very grateful for their kindness and time. This is my first home and I was treated very professionally and with respect. Thank you all!

This is the 3rd Lennar home we have purchased. The first two homes were well built, the purchase process was easy and the limited warranty work was done well. This time the process was much more stressful. First, we were not allowed to use our Realtor due to some rule that we had used a different one with Lennar in the past. This made the process much more difficult for us. Second strike was the inability of our sales person to respond to us. Once we signed the contract, we were dead to her. After the sale, the person who was supposed to be a liason would never answer calls and always send emails right as day was ending so we could never respond and get quick answers. To say the process up to move in was frustrating was an understatement. To male matters worse, Lennat asked to move up the close date. We could not do quite as early as they asked as the date didn't line up with our other closing. We did move up as much as possible. Yet when we got close closing, the home wasn't close to ready. Our inspection was rescheduled 3 times. The 2nd time we drove by the house on Saturday for a Monday inspection to see the house still had days of work to be done. Even when we did the inspection, appliances were not there, irrigation was not placed among other key things that should have been inspected. Due to the rushed nature of the build, we have had more warranty claims in one month than we did on two other homes combined. The overall feeling is the entire community is being built too fast for th3 team or without regard to quality. Lastly, we recently had to have our back fence removed to dig a sewer line. We were told it was just for when the excavator needed to turn. 10 minutes into job, the excavator had drove over the irrigation system and newly laid sod. Even after it was "capped" we still se water seeping into hoke they have been digging for over 2 weeks with no end in site. ... More

nothing come with the house

We had a great time finding a home that was almost completed with Damon. After that we talked with a few good finance people to get the loan paperwork done and approved. Our home buyer conciere we only had one conversation with him and couldnt get ahold of him for anything really. We did have a few issues with the home and it took many tries to get things fixed for us and some things i just had to take care of myself because i was tired of trying to keep up with the constant follow up on warranty things.

I had to have 3 blue tapes, using more than 1 roll each time, these issues for the most part are still not fixed. The process is very difficult for someone who lives in an area where the internet is not available. Supposedly I was supposed to be provided with a packet at closing, which I did not receive. Also, another packet was supposed to be emailed to me, which I did not receive. So I'm having a hard time finding out who to contact for different issues. I thought I would have internet when I moved in, but the line was clogged, I finally have it after 4 weeks of living here. I had a water leak, they think it's fixed but there is still a big hole out front. Interior grade, non keyed locks were installed on exterior doors and the front door one has already fallen off. ... The only experience that was good was working with mortgage department, they were great. Sales office was not responsive to concerns after I signed contract. Koral told me after I signed that water was expensive here. I moved in 8/28 and still do not have sod and neighbors who moved in after me, like next door neighbors already have theirs. There are a tremendous number of homes that have sod, they haven’t even brought on new base dirt or leveled my lot. The final walked through the house was filthy, mud in garage, trash (including beer cans in back yard), the concern about under kitchen sink never resolved, and I have had a couple electrical issues lately. ... My sales representative, Kim was amazing! I kept her busy for a year and it finally came through!

The only good part of of this process was from the loan and title personally our home concierge Jose terrible terrible terrible all you guys did was take advantage of a young military family thinking we were stupid cause our age and cause we were officially here in San Antonio yet as well as his boss who called and blamed us for the problems we had in our home because we hired a third party inspector and her word i quote “ Lennar is a faster moving company then anyone else so with you hire a third party inspector it pro longs if and cause the issues you are having” basically because they rushed the work of the home and we were holding them accountable it was our fault as well as having our family and realtors in the home with a whole gas leak. Never again will we do business with your company nor will i recommend lennar to any military or civilian. ... More

Overall the GC doesn’t seem like he had any idea about some things in the house. We walked the house dirty and they left trash all over my yard and in the backyard and we lived with it for a month or so before they finally sent someone to clean it. Save your time and money and get a 3rd party inspector

I have bought from KB Home and Lennar, Every home have its problems, but the one thing that stands out to me with Lennar is how quickly the warranty service gets in contact and takes care of your request. Problem solved.
