Terrible experience regret purchasing the home

Sales person was great and responsive. Quality of work was poor, responsiveness from construction team was poor. After closing for over 6 weeks we have not had sod on our yard. We financed through Lennar and they later sold the loan to a different company. Shortly after the loan was sold, my wife and I both experienced identity theft, where we both had letters stating that credit cards were applied for by us that we were not aware of. We are very careful with not sharing private information and have not applied for credit cards in over 5 years. Some credit cards were approved and had ...

Being a first time home buyer, I wasn’t familiar with the process of purchasing a home. The information required was understandable since it’s a large purchase however it was time consuming and extremely detailed. Once that was complete I thought the worst part is over. I was wrong. One week prior to signing my papers I was told it needed to be extended, I understood. The second part, I was told that the home I was purchasing (which was completed except for minor details) was inspected and it was valued at about 13K more that I was paying. I was told I needed to pay that difference. At this ...

The price of the home doesn’t reflect the low level quality of materials and craftsmanship in the home. The home has a beautiful face on it but basic everything else from the cheap doors, no locks on the door knob, the basic level stove and microwave, carpet padding, no screens for the windows and the most horrific caulking and painting of the base boards. I reached out to inquire about upgrading the low level things and I was told that it violates the warranty!?!?. You don’t know all of these things until you get in the house and live in it. Also what happened to everything is BIG in TX??? ...

Kept being told this would be one of our happiest moments, had many issues and concerns still haven’t been addressed and have moved in still waiting to get some resolution. Luv my home but overall experience was horrible and still not able to enjoy our home. Very poor communication at the very beginning, still lack of her and now. Felt so rushed and pushed and thrown to the side. Hope no one else had to or will have to experience what we did. My realtor was the only one I felt that was really here helping and supporting us. Neighborhood is wonderful so far.. wouldn’t change anything

I knew coming into this that buying a house can be stressful but it definitely could be better with the right help. When i went to see the house Ana was good, however the second i was moved to lennar mortgage the nightmare began, the loan officer Wesley he eas good at the beginning, then there was a LOT of miscommunication, changes of information and to make it worse to be honest i felt i was gaslighted towards the end, putting me in a position where i had no choice but to buy. The person that was supposed to contact me and introduce herself before closing I NEVER received such call, ...

We were really excited to buy this home for our family. This is our first home that we have ever bought. The process of applying for a loan was easy, where things began to fall apart is the lack of communication between all the different areas of the company. I felt like I was doing all the leg work. And to make matters worse, the closing of our house was moved 7 times. Sometimes we knew about it a week in advance and the last few times it was literally the day before we were to close. We moved into our home with not having a final green inspection done, (it had been done, but something ...

almost 3 months behind schedule even though all supplies were here, would tell us 2 more weeks so we checked everyday, no one was working on house. When we were told a home inspection which we were paying for could be done work in house was not finished you didn't even have a water meter here. One wall had no electricity at all, we were told it was repaired and it wasn't. So many things not taken care of from final walk thru and house was not cleaned. Not sure what ever happened to customer satisfaction but Lennar has none. Neighbors on both side's had same sort of issues. Nice homes ...

The Lennar purchasing experience is a never ending resubmitting of paperwork, seemed like on a daily basis. The interfacing with the utility providers appeared to have never happened. Delays on water/sewer, because the proper forms weren't filed, the CATV took a month to get installed. Electricity was the only one not causing a problem, because they already had it turned on. Even after the sale, they kept contacting us for forms they lost somehow. Professional is not in their vocabulary. The sod in the yard is the worst job I've ever seen. Careful not to injure yourself trying to walk across ...

Lennar messed up on the grass installation date that led to ALL the grass dying that Lennar had installed . I went by my verbal conversation with Kyle because I trusted him. When things went wrong he and the managers either went mute or told me to show something in written otherwise they can’t do anything. My total expenditure for this goof up is $3.5k!! Shane started telling me all about when the grass needs to be installed that Kyle or no one else mentioned when they should have. On top of that he said he won’t talk to the landscape company to see if they can give me the builder rate ...

The construction manger was/has been great. The title department was the worst!!! I have NEVER had such a horrible experienced. It’s been 4 months since my closing and last month I was looking for final/completed/signed documents in the portal (that you push so much), to find out they were not there. I had to call title to get them. Defeats the purpose of your so called portal. You have been a failure in almost every aspect of the experience. I say almost only because of Shane the construction manager.

I have been around home building my entire life and have never seen a house get built with such lack of care. There were so many things that stood out to show that one the contractor is either way to rushed. Or two they just don’t care. Walls with very little or no paint. Tile that didn’t get grouted in places. Brick work that looked like a little kid did it. List goes on and on. This is just the builder side of things. I have plenty of complaints for the entire company.

Don't Buy a House From Lennar

This review is not in regards to the location, the neighborhood, the local schools, etc... It is strictly about Lennar. I purchased a home from Lennar at the end of May 2019. My experience with Lennar before and after purchasing the home has been terrible. This company lacks communication, consistency, and quality, among other things. When we agreed to purchase the home that we liked, the closing date was originally set for early June 19. Lennar contacted us and said that the closing date could be moved up to mid-May. We agreed to that closing date. When that date finally came around, I ...

I was informed before closing and after the initial inspection that I paid for that all deficiencies would be fixed. There was a minor crack in the outside foundation. I commented about it and was told by the independent inspector. Don't worry the builders correct that. After I paid wired funds I had to sign off on repairs being completed. There i was told: company policy says we don't fix that crack. They don't put a glaze on it either. I was informed about 8 missing window blinds were a deficiency. Same response: company policy we don't fix that. I was also brought to the ...

The staff was generally unhelpful, often disrespectful, and consistently untimely. The overall workmanship and quality of materials used in the home are subpar. When I moved in, the house appeared hastily assembled—there was glue left on the floors (which is still there, as the property manager was unable to remove it), and multiple cabinets were misaligned and required adjustment. Several doors and paint areas were left incomplete or showed noticeable yellowing. The paint has been cracked since day one and continues to worsen, despite multiple requests for repair. Overall, the quality and ...

My whole experience was horrible. From start to end. Even after I closed the house was gross, the construction guy did not fixed the window that I pointed out during my last walk. They took forever to do the final city inspection even after I had already closed on the house. My gas was cut off because no one informed me that the city had done the inspection several weeks after I closed even though I would call weekly and could never get answers. I will never do business with you again and if it wasn’t because my wife wanted the house in that community I would have given y’all the finger. ...

Buying from Lennar has been one of the most frustrating experiences. They rushed the build of our home, clearly more focused on putting up houses for numbers than on quality. From day one, we were handed dead grass and trees — it looked neglected before we even moved in. When issues come up, they fight you every step of the way. Instead of standing behind their work, they make the process of getting anything fixed extremely difficult. To make matters worse, they only repair drywall cracks once, even though more appear as the house settles. Most recently spilled chemical in my yard and ...

Lennar is the only affordable builder in San Antonio and they take advantage of that distinction. Lowest quality builder grade materials are used. Construction manager lied three different times that issues identified by third-party inspector were resolved. Later, he couldn't distinguish between main water line or hot/cold water lines. Internet service is mandatory so that builder receives a kickback for every new buyer and it is NOT included in your HOA fees. There is an additional monthly charge. HOA received over $1,000 in closing documents even though no one could explain the ...
