"I was extremely disappointed with the process of purchasing a Lennar Home through the agent, Gina. When I visited the model home out of curiosity and to gather information, I was not properly informed about the purchasing process. According to Lennar policy, this meant that I could not have an agent who would receive commission on the sale and I would have to pay for it out of pocket. I believe this is unethical and contributes to the loss of trust in large institutions. During the final walk-through, I felt rushed by the customer representative, Lisa, and the manager in charge of the area. I expected everything to be new when I bought a new home, but instead, I was told by the manager (whose name I cannot recall) that the amount of tape I used was "unusual", which was not the response I expected from a customer-focused company. They had tried to convince me that the cold and hot water lines in the second floor bathroom were not reversed, even though the inspector had clearly stated they were. I had to go back and test it myself to prove that the lines were indeed reversed, which only then prompted a corrective action. The experience only got worse from there - the roof leaked during the first freeze and an ice dam formed; there was a water leak at the main shut-off valve in the garage, and a tile in the master bathroom with a clear defect was played off as needing additional cleaning. As a nurse, I understand the importance of establishing trust with another person. For me, it is the patient, and for you it is your customer. Call Price sales agent was not particularly easy to work with. However, Melissa warranty person and Season the project person very helpful and responsive!

While we really like the home we have, the property has drainage issues and the builder didn't take significant steps to alleviate the problems. They throw some rock on the ground and claim there is a French drain when that's not the case.

I found the construction manager and the followup great. The sales people were also very responsive and helpful. The overall construction was less than I expected for the price that I paid...ie the backyard requires more fill in order to stabilize the patio, the bathroom window is clear and look directly out on a neighbors entry, the grouting was very poorly done in many areas.

Alina was outstanding helping us pick out just the right home. She was available to help with issues after the sale.

House was not ready. A lot of touch up would need to be done before Closing.

The “Celebration” appointment should be called a “walkthrough” to discuss status of home prior to closing and what needs to be addressed prior to that time. The home had many issues. Construction materials still on the premises while a “celebration banner” was being put up! Very disappointed in the meeting. This is our 6th new construction home. Past builders had the home spotless by the time the walkthrough occurred. This will be our first and last Lennar home. Thankyou.

The initial homebuying experience was decent, and the sales team was helpful throughout the process. However, I will say I've had trouble getting a response to questions or help with issues with the home since closing day. When kindly asking the sales office who I should talk to about my gutter mysteriously overflowing in light rain weeks after moving in, I was told multiple times it wasn't Lennar's problem before finally being given information on how to make a claim with the home warranty. The claim was denied by the home warranty stating it's a "homeowner maintenance issue," despite literally just moving in. Lennar has since offered to help address this issue, but I am still waiting for the issue to be resolved weeks later. I am still finding random paint splatters & scratches missed in the walkthrough, and now after less than 2 months of living here I'm seeing cracked grout & splitting seams, AC unit leaking a large amount of water, etc. For the price I paid for my first home, I expected higher quality materials and more pride in craftsmanship. The mortgage process has been stupidly complex and poorly organized. I am still get requests for documents and signatures two weeks afte we’ve closed because of errors and poor communication. I’m satIsfied with the overall build quality and workmanship. That said as we spend more time in the home I’m noticing that the painting contractors don’t seem to have been very detail oriented as were find drips and paint marks on molding and ceiling. We also would have opted to upgrade the paint to a satin finish had we realized that eggshell was going to be used. The contractors who put up the fence also didn’t pay attention to details. First out in on the wrong side of the house then just transferred it to the correct side. Problem is the diet bother to level the fence to the ground so there is uneven gaps and holes under the fence. Love the space that the house provides and location was what we were looking for in a home. Things I would like to suggest: 1. Allow buyer 1 or 2 modification during the building process. example - make patio larger if space is available to build it. 2. Seal the Grout on the tile through the house so homeowners don't have to do it in a new home. Its Takes the homeowner 2-3 days to do it in a house of this size (3082 sq ft) when you would just like to enjoy your new home. Complaint: 1. Multiple flooring issues in home hard wood floor and under carpet areas. Many areas crack and pop as if the house floor is 30 years old. This is something you would not expect in a new home costing over $500,000.00 ... More

The overall home itself seems ok. The cabinets and fixtures are ‘builders grade’ but no more. The lots are not level, and many of us have concerns about drainage & standing water. Lennar pitches their ‘everything included’ as a selling point, but that also means very limited flexibility (I.e. upgrading finishes, expanding patio size, under counter lighting).

I asked why the overhead lights weren’t centered over the bar and was told they do it that way intentionally. My electrician and interior designer thought it was shoddy construction. There are 9 lights in the kitchen ceiling and no 3 in a straight line in any direction. Overhead lights no even grounded. I feel liike everything is the cheapest available.

While the layout works for our needs, there are several issues that reflect a lack of attention to detail and some questionable material choices. One of the bedroom doors is misaligned and does not close properly. Another door swing past their stop and hit the walls, Light switches have been placed behind the door making them inconvenient to reach. We also had to arrange for pest control shortly after moving in due to an ant problem—something we didn’t expect in a newly built home. We were surprised by the builder's decision to install a hybrid water heater, which may be efficient but has mixed reviews. The drawer slides throughout the home are basic, similar to what you'd find in an entry-level apartment, and don’t match the expectations for a new single-family home. Overall, the home is okay, but the quality feels average. These kinds of issues add up and affect the overall experience. Future buyers should take time to look closely at finishes, fixtures, and layout decisions before finalizing their purchase. ... More

Over all slow response from Lennar mostly and not much helpful,Lennar needs to be better in customer support and home construction quality, though David helped me and I really appreciate it.

Do NOT do any upgrades with Macadam Flooring! Poor quality of product, expensive, and poor quality of workmanship. I will never buy another Lennar home and I WILL NEVER RECOMEND LENNAR COMPANY!

The buying part was relatively easy. Although, I was never sure of who to talk to. From the mortgage agent, realtor, home buying agent, new purchase coordinator, to the walkthrough agent. The paint is pretty low quality, so if you have kids you’ll be either doing touch ups all the time or repainting with a paint that will last if washed. For the price of the house I was shocked it didn’t come with soft close cabinets and drawers. Landscape is done cheaply. The company would rather throw mulch down instead of sod or rock. My yard has drainage issues that makes it impossible to walk on the grass during any sort of rain and the company does not seem to care about the issue after investing. The warranty agent will tell you one thing and then walk it back after the work has been completed and not up to what they said they were going to do. ... More

We paid extra $27000 for the view because we live uphill. Now the house behind us block our view. Very disappointing. If we had known that our view had been block, we would not buy this house.

Pay attention to wall lots of touch up needed. Preferred loan officer was hard to get hold off

Lack of construction communication. Very pushy to close the deal. Awful workmanship.

We could not open kitchen drawers because oven wasn’t installed properly.

We bought a Magnolia home. We were very ready so the loan process was very smooth on our end. Every time Lennar Mortgage would asked a document from us within 30 minutes it’s done. We would visit our house while it was under construction every week until it was totally done. We had our chance to inspect the house before the closing day. And we noticed some minor fix like one of the window is not sliding, the moldings are unattached to the wall yet, painting, the grass was dead at the backyard so they fixed it. The loan was approved very quick and we had the closing day Friday afternoon instead of Monday afternoon. We had the final inspection Monday morning and we were told we will get the keys in the afternoon not later than 5:00 but to our dismay nobody called us so I asked the Lennar people the next day they contacted us it nobody knows where the keys are. We have deliveries that day our refrigerator, washing machine, and dryer and the AC will be installed the next day so they gave us access to the house they gave us the front door code. Finally we were called we can get the keys at the model home key locker but we can’t find anything even the project manager is helping us to look for the key then Thursday we finally got a call from Tim that the key is in the new model home when we went there we still can’t find the key but a worker saw us and said they key is in the dishwasher. So we got our keys to the house Thursday afternoon. We started child proofing the house and the next Monday we hired a mover to move our beds, dining set, and living room set. Through out the week we moved some of our personal belongings. Saturday night around 8:30pm we moved in at our new house. After 30 minutes, after all my kids had a quick shower, we had water sewer backflow. Downstairs was overflowing at the kitchen sink, dishwasher, toilet. The floor was damaged. We called Lennar emergency hotline 4 times and the lady said there’s 3 people who are on call that night she will relay our case and they will call us. We cleaned downstairs until 3:00-4:00am we have used all new and old towels 27 in total. But we never heard from them. It was 6:15am when JM a construction manager from Lennar and called us to help. After long hours of talking over the phone he came up with a plan. At first they tried to figure it out with my husband he even ask my husband to go check the crawl space and check the pipe and my husband said it’s like there’s something in it it’s not moving that he could feel the pressure of water. So he called several companies to check our plumbing and finally around 10:00 he was able to get a Hewitt Rota rooters and ARS restoration company to come check the damage. At 1:00-3:00 they arrived at the house and started working. They found out that it was concrete rubble is the culprit. It took Lennar to fix our house 20 days. We finally moved in June 15 we still have no toilet and kitchen sink and dishwasher. It was installed the next day and it was still dirty and we have to sanitize it. In that 20 days we have to eat out because we don’t have access to the house but we were allowed to sleep there at night and we go back to our rented house in the morning. We were not able to move all our stuff as planned up to the last minute because downstairs was inaccessible and the garage as well. There was big fans all over the place and the noice was unbearable. We incurred extra expenses but to our dismay Lennar never compensate us with all the trouble. We have six kids and school was over and all our stuff are all over the place. They wasted 20 days of our life our long wait and full of excitement and anticipation they turned it to the a nightmare worst time of our life. We were very disappointed. We never had the chance to invite our family to have a thanksgiving or a small celebration. The emotional damage we had experienced was really bad and Lennar Homes only did is to fix the house and no more. They never offered financial help to help us feel better. Can you imagine every time we eat we need to drive. Do you know what a waste of time and money is that for a family of 8????? We have to move all our stuff from the old house because the landlord no longer want us there because she needs the house immediately within 48 hours. My husband didn’t slept for 48 hours and he almost had a heart attack. So I have to beg our landlord if we can put our remaining stuff inside the garage and we will empty it the next day so that my husband can rest. And when we emptied the house we kept the uhaul for a long time because our new house is all messed up and we need time to fix things before we can add more stuff again. It’s July 5th today and our stuff is still in our room and in the garage but I made sure that downstairs, the loft area and my kids bedrooms are all clean and tidy so that they will not suffer anymore from the bad experience we had from Lennar. It’s only $250 to have the pipes checked and another $550 to have concrete rubble to remove and they would have prevented this from happening. Where is quality assurance and quality control? Not happy with the the customer service, 600K +, and the agent did not receive us on closing day , just left a text and location of our keys, our address does not show up on any maps …etc just a headache

I still have someone else’s ring box at my house because the builders were careless and have no idea where mine is. So someone else has mine and can log into my camera in front of my house. My customer care coordinator told me it was rings problem.

Workmanship are very poor, after we moved we saw a lot of problems the paint, lots of nails pops, window blinds, doors are loose, carpet are short, something missing on the counter, problem with internet cable, the stairs, water heater doesn't work on our first day , warranty guy only good on the first 2 weeks after that not answering the phone. Really disappointed, I will not recommend Lennar.

Sadly I spend more of my time discovering things around the house that need to be fixed rather then simply enjoying the house itself
