First, we had to wire the complete payment due for settlement almost one week prior to the date we sat down. Second, Lennar contacted us less than 48 hours prior to settlement that our date had been changed and they were unable to get the occupancy permit to close due to the July 4th holiday. Upon further investigation on the part of my wife it was determined that Lennar dropped the ball and they failed to get the permits signed in a timely fashion. Multiple delays during construction, poor communication, terrible closing experience, and many things required to be fixed or replaced- multiple times in some cases. I had a good experience with the actual Lennar seller throughout the process; however, every thing else has been poor.

Very Little Communication and Poor Workmanship

They slap up homes so quickly that the workmanship is that of a high school kid in a building and trades class. The appliances appear to be all scratch and dent. The warranty repairs take forever and promises are made and not followed up on. Overall, I would not recommend Lennar to anyone. I thought Pulte was bad!

The purchase and mortgage process was quick, efficient, and Scott walked us through the mortgage process step by step. The walk through was organized, but a lot of "blue tape” areas were listed. Unfortunately, at the closing most of these blue tape areas were not addressed. We were led to believe they would be fixed while we signed our closing documents. We had so-called celebration two weeks before closing, we found about 10 items that needed to be addressed. Nothing were done during that two weeks. Day before closing they promised these were going to be fixed right away. Had to leave the house for one week for ceiling repair. Have to leave the house another two days for all the damages that have done to the floor. Part of the garage door needed to be redone which will be in couple weeks. No accountability to what they do. Very disappointed in Lennar and the volume of issues needing to be fixed after move-in, including lanai flooding, garage keypad not working, water not connected for dishwasher, sloppy workmanship. The sales rep (not Art) and Oleg (construction manager) did a hasty walk-through prior to close — Oleg was completely disinterested and made offensive remarks about this home not being “custom construction.” The pair essentially lied in telling us the repairs we were requesting would be completed “in the next few weeks.” That was May 5 and many of the repairs are yet to be made as of August 3. The experience is real bad,first the sales person woman was rude ,after complaining to her supervisor it became good. The loan officer lady Rachel Davies is real pain and very rude. After closing the house we observed multiple issues.including door and cabinet needs to be replaced and it is almost 45 days still the doors and cabinets not replaced. Over all it is a very bad experience with Lennar.

One of the worst experience we ever had with Lennar. We had a bad experience dealing with salesperson Melinda to construction lead worker Louis said they would take care of the stuff but never did. We found a lot of water in the crawl space and pointed out sidewalk concrete damage during the construction workers. They trick us into accepting the defaults in the house and convince us they will take care of it but once we close the house they leave us in the dark. Honest advice we would not recommend anyone to buy from Lennar .

So many building issues are consistently flawed in all the models. In a 6 unit model, all have the same dry wall taping issues, same electrical issues and more. So many corners cut and final product does not reflect what is seen in the models

Purchasing: the house was appraised for 20k less than listed, which is a positive. Our financing representative convinced us to negotiate our offers, until we met at 5k over the appraisal. We later discovered, through our realtor, that she has never seen anyone pay more than $500 over appraisal. We definitely felt swindled. Realtor: The only services she provided were leaving a key available on a lock box, informing us of the discrepancy in appraisal price after we signed, and sending a low-quality video of a walkthrough of the house. We had a very bad experience with this property. We did online closing and later when we visited, we found the grass Sods completely dead and it was never watered. When enquirer about this with Lennar, they said the property is closed and it’s not their responsibility and also it will not cover in warranty as it’s outside. We also saw cracks in window and a big hole dug in the backyard which we reported and the response was snail paced. Really bad customer service and carelessness on part of Lennar

Stay on top of things, that you see wrong. Get a home inspector for pre drywall and final inspection. I have doors the stick because of the way they painted and hung the door. Over 6 door that are coming apart and peeling..I am disappointed quality of a over half a million home…

I been thinking about weather I should or not write a review but as I get to know my neighbors and we talk about our experience I think I should. Our closing experience in both the construction and financial aspects was not ideal. The construction manager was not very helpful and the quality of his work was not up to par. We have been constantly submitting claims for repairs. Builders excuse to things not getting done at closing was “because of COVID the trades are not as good”. I tell you the prince of a house has not declined but quality sure has.

Love our home but the workmanship and attention to detail is not good especially for the price we paid. Totally feel taken advantage of and Lennar has not been responsive at all. Our construction manager did not do a great job and was MIA with most of all of our problems during the process. Again, beautiful home but not a great experience at all.

I'm disheartened as I encounter the cheapest bottom of the line appliances. Walkway in poor condition, pool not opened as the season is moving on. I'm replacing all shower heads Most of all I have the absolute worst concrete I've never seen anything like it, .. it's like black circles with micro cracks throughout and no one cares!!!!

We love the layout of the house and the neighborhood. We do regret buying from Lennar. We were outright lied to and were extremely disappointed in the process. There were a few people along the way that were very nice but it appears Lennar employees are trained to make money, not care about people.

When we first looked at the home we noticed that there was a large crack in the driveway concrete. When we showed up for the walk through the cracked concrete was replaced with new concrete which is a complete different color from the original. Crazy thing is they only needed to replace one section (1/6) and they did 2/3 of the driveway so now the driveway looks like a patch up job. Lennar DECLINED my request to fix the problem stating that they are not responsible if there is any staining or discoloration of the concrete driveway!!! I can not believe that LENNAR would allow this patchwork ...

1. Even though we reported these issues during pre-drywall inspection, none of those were fixed 2. Forced us in a threatened way to close the house even without fixing the reported issues. 3. I fell and tripped in the room because of pulled out carpet, frames and closet doors left in the room without any safety concerns. 4. Multiple meetings and multiple people come in and go to look at the issues. This affected my work and personal life significantly in a negative way. It is unacceptable and negligent on their part to let us suffer this long.

We closed a month late (weren't told till the day we were supposed to close by the builder). I get that happens. Didn't have a pre-close walkthrough. No closing celebration. Closed with an open punchlist of items that STILL aren't fixed and it's been more than two months. Had multiple conversations with multiple people and constantly getting the run around. If everything was done right, we would LOVE the house. But the quality (or lack of) shows through in just about everything

It all starts with the closing. Initially we were to close on the last Tuesday of the month. Because of work, I requested the closing to be moved to the Friday of that same week. I was denied. I then organized a POA and had to fly my POA all the way to California for this closing only to be told less than a week prior that the house was not ready and closing was to be moved to the date I originally wanted. Overall, prior to actually moving in, the closing date was shifted a total of FOUR times. Each time being a last minute change to the closing date. Set a closing date and STICK WITH IT. ...
