Over all we are very happy with the experience of building with Pulte. I would definitely do it again! We love our new home.

We are extremely dissatisfied with Party. There are numerous, five pages of items that were supposed to be fixed prior to move in. There were only a couple things fixed prior to distribution. We have been fixed, we have made schedule changes to be home a few of the items are addressed instead of all, wasting our time. Paint and drywall disgusting completely unacceptable.

I have had several issues with my home. Some have been taken care of and some haven’t due to the incompetence and irresponsibility of the company. Several times I have been told someone would come to fix things and they never came at the scheduled time due to a miscommunication on Pulte’s side and them not ordering the materials they said would. I have emailed the fields manger about another thing that came up. Part of my bathroom cabinet fell and it looks like the wood wasn’t place right and it’s uneven. No response. I’m disgusted. I’m paying a lot of money to a poor quality company.

tile fell off front of house only 33 days. The General Contractor told me I have to get with insurance company for the damage. ONE TILE fell off in middle of roof! We are not happy. Insurance adjuster told me it was about a 15 minute job for $100 and our deductible is $1000. I asked GC if he has a person who could get and replace same tile. Have not heard back from Don about this. All other items have been taken care of-to be fair.

We love our new home. I've built a new home before, but the process with Pulte was much easier. The team answered all our questions and even anticipated most of them. All were friendly and helpful.

The location is great but unfortunately the new home isn't without multiple problems that after 1.5months from move in are still "being evaluated for scheduled repair" It's extra stress and annoyance that takes away from the enjoyment of the move to our new house.

sales office was great in dealing with them. The problem is with the closing crew and not following up on customer request or even returning phone calls, text messages, etc. If pulte values their customers they should hire more people to handle the job requirements or hire personnel that do not ignore your phone calls.

We started the paperwork for our new home on January 28, 2019. We also worked with two other mortgage companies for our loan. We where putting 50% down and financing 50% with the intentions of paying the house off in 5 years. We got home on February 5, 2019, which I spent 2 complete days getting all the information to all the mortgage companies for their underwriting companies. After 2 weeks we where pre-approved for the loan with the other 2 loan companies and our own bank. Pulte mortgage people we worked with where Sally and Sarah. They were really great and went the extra mile to help us. We just kept getting asked for more information because we are self-employed. Who do they think employees get their W-2's from. THERE EMPLOYERS LIKE US. We had 6 times the money in one account to pay for the home, but they treated us like we where high risk. We had to provide 4 years income tax papers, 6 month bank statements, proof that we where a real business. We provided them with 4 year of income tax papers for each business. It just seemed like every other day we had to send more documentation. Our Vice President in our bank here, that we deal with on a daily basis, said that they were doing unethical practices. We kept being told that we where approved for the loan in underwriting, and then the next day Sally would call me and ask me for more information. We where to do the walk through and close on the house, July 5, 2019. The day of July 3, 2019, we received a call from the head of the Pulte Mortgage and she told us not to come down for the walk through, the our loan was still in underwriting. Our salesman John, which by the was is a wonderful person and a very helpful, honest guy, told us to come down and do the walk through anyway. We did and our job supervisor wasn't there and we did the walk through with another Job Supervisor. He was great. There were several things that need to be taken care of, like we had ordered the upgrade kitchen cabinets that were wrong, cut in our wood flooring, nails in the wall, paint on floor and glass shower doors, fan in master bathroom the bearing in the motor where bad, fingerprints in the varnish on the special ordered front door. We went back 2 1/2 months later and some of the stuff wasn't done yet. We called our job supervisor and he assured us that he would take care of the matter. Then we get a call from our salesman 1 day after we get home, and he said that the job supervisor said we have to go through customer care to get things fixed. I has been a really bad experience with this home. We built our current home that we own debt free of 6,000 square ft., that we hired all our contractors with the exception of the things that we own business for, and we had a great time with it. It was such a joy, and the home that we built through Pulte was just on stress moment after another. If we had to recommend anything to you, I would NOT GO THOUGH PULTE to mortgage your home. We purchased the Firewood model because it was the only builder in the area that had first floor master. I would have preferred the laundry room on the first floor instead of the 2nd. I would have liked to be able to see the prices for the material at the Show Room earlier than selection day. We were allowed to see the material but had no opportunity to ask anyone prices until Selection day. The flat paint used as standard will come off with 1-2 wipes if it gets stained. You most definitely will have to repaint if you don't upgrade the paint - which I wouldn't recommend because you can get paint contractors for cheaper. We've built several times before, this is probably the worst paint job in our 3 experiences of building. I wouldn't recommend the Standard flooring or cabinets, they definitely are substandard quality - You WILL upgrade floors & cabinets. You're given receptacle boxes for fans but not even a standard fan was offered which was standard with other builders we've built with. Our biggest set-back was no Internet access for over a week - on a week I was working remotely. This situation was a hassle with Pulte & our Internet provider. The cable couldn't be run from the street box to the house due to "broken pipes." And neither Pulte nor the Internet provider would take responsibility to fix it. Multiple calls to Pulte & the Internet provider resulted in a blame game. Currently, getting the HOA agency or Pulte to appropriately manage the "gated" community has been a hassle. No one takes responsibility when you call. One quotes the other is responsible. In the mean time, come sun down people experiencing homelessness, groups of teens walk about the property - on more than one occasion in the "gated" community. Multiple calls to the HOA & Pulte from several of the residents in the community resulted in closing the main gate & leaving another gate open. We're from the Midwest. Arizona homes are definitely inflated compared to the Midwest. However, we chose a new build over an already inflated existing home that would need updates & upgrades. We may build with Pulte again, knowing however that we will put about 30-35% of the sale price in upgrades. This area was important to us & was the only builder in the area with a first floor master (Firwood model). ... More

EVERYTIME THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH CONSTRUCTION, PULTE MAKES EXCUSES AND TRIES TO GET OUT OF FIXING THE PROBLEM, BY SAYING ITS NORMAL AND THINKS HOMEOWNER SHOULD EXCEPT THE DEFFECT.

Just recently moved from CA to AZ and was able to manage the whole process from CA. Ron Rolfes was great at communicating and sending photos. He responded to all calls in a timely manner and address any issues we had right away.

Spend as much time as possible deciding on options.

Definitely a home builder that wants you to have a quality house. Also, for a good value. The only thing that we didn't like is their inability to make ANY changes to the model home we chose. Other than that, all went well.

I absolutely love our new home, but am so not satisfied with the quality of the workmanship. Many items we noticed while our house was being built and brought it to the attention of the superintendent on more than one occasion. Nothing was corrected at that time and the trades continued working. When we did our first walk through these items once again brought to the attention of the superintendent. Still nothing corrected, and then another walk through. By this time the dry wall has been hung, kitchen counters are in and electrical and plumbing are all in and still the same issues have not been corrected. Electrical outlets covered with dry wall, the electrician not able to run the power full circle due to this. While I could overlook somethings, others I could not. Our $12,000 master shower, horrible workmanship and 6 corrections later we are still not able to shower in our master shower. Let's just say they would save money if they would do things right the first time or at the lease fix things right away rather than waiting until completion when they have to rip things apart. Seems like they're short handed and no one is watching, then the mad dash to finish on time. I'm bitter sweet with the experience and question if I'll ever do it again. ... More

My husband and I were super excited about the purchase of our new home. The sales consultant we worked with seemed very credible at first, however, we soon discovered that most of the information she provided was just a sales pitch. She misinformed us about a few different items related to the structure of the home and the percentage owed based on the options chosen. This information was never discussed, however, it seemed as if there was always a cover up on her end whenever it was brought up. She promised the house would be 100% ready at the time of the final walk through, she couldn't have been more wrong. We spent more about an hour and a half pointing out imperfections and other issues with the house during the final walk through. Even after we closed, issues that were previously pointed out were not addressed. Here we are more than a month after closing and we are still dealing with issues that should have been done right the first time. The workmanship was very poor due to incompetent contractors hired by Pulte who don't do their job correctly the first time. ... More

Pulte buils a very nice house and Anthem is a great community.

Read all of the material that you are provided and ask questions. Understand what changes can be made and what changes can not be made. Walk your property (lot) and be sure that it is a good fit for you. Enjoy your experience.

This is my 2nd Pulte home, regardless of any issues major or minor they always get taken care of.

There were 6 square feet of shingles missing, irrigation system leak, AC air leak in the attic, and wiring issues in the ceiling fan and pendant light prewires. So I can't help but wonder if there are hidden issues elsewhere in the house. I understand that building a house is a very involved operation, and requires a lot of different crews to coordinate together. So some problems are expected. But I can't give 5 stars to something with these types of problems. Otherwise, the house SEEMS to be well built. But hire a good home inspector to make sure everything is like it should be.
