Not very impressed with the actual build. I expected a new home to be near perfect but there are many imperfections we have found living in the home for a month. Things you don’t really catch during walk-through. The home buying experience wasn’t that wonderful either and we felt extremely pressured to close in 2023, literally a few days prior to the new year. The communication was also extremely poor. Our real estate agent did most of the outreach for updates, otherwise we did not hear much through the process.

It seems the house was not built with attention to details. I see issues with paint on cabinets. Leaky sink, garbage disposal after one use.

I purchased a Pulte home because of their reputation for quality. I also feel like I received a great value for the price paid. For that, service quality was not satisfactory, the buying process was not coordinated and the builder was inflexible to accommodate my requested move in date. The property was listed as "move in ready." Hopefully, they will be responsive when I need warranty items fixed.

Communication between staff member and staff and customers was not good. The process from beginning to end was not good. I was encouraged to sell my home with an anti aped move in date of September. I did not move into November. The mortgage company told me mid October. Staff told me I could get my keys on a Monday I didn’t move in until Thursday. There were lapses all along. If I had my choice I would not buy Pulte again.

Once you close, it is difficult to get an immediate response for repairs or help with major issues. Other homeowners have shared about issues with getting water on or help with electrical problems, similar to what we experienced. We chose Pulte based on their reputation in our former city. Unfortunately, they did not meet our expectations.

Working with the Lending Company was difficult at best. They continued to ask for information that had been requested more than once. Getting service for issues is very dependent on the vendor being used. Sometimes it is 7 to 10 days and other times it is 7 to 10 weeks. NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR A NEW HOME.

Before buying my Pulte home, I had been researching other homes with little satisfaction. When I saw the Pulte homes, I was ecstatic; they had everything I wanted in a new home. I wanted a single level, a patio, and a pantry which according to the advertisement came with these homes. At a first excited glance, everything looks okay, but with time, you start to see the imperfections. The base boards are some of the worst I’ve seen. A lot of unpainted uncaulked areas. The stairs as well, paint drips, uncaulked seams, exposed areas. Some unpainted areas In ceiling. It was a rushed job and I get that they’re building in bulk, but for the amount of money paid, you’d expect a little more care.

The customer service experience was great during the home buying process. Once you've closed and moved in, it's a different story. Prior to moving in, I hired a home inspector to perform an inspection. There were a handful of findings that were claimed to be fixed. The field manager was going to send an email with the pictures showing (roof, attic,) the findings on the home inspection have been fixed. We occupied the property in May. I sent a follow-up email to the field manager and I am yet to receive a response. I understand they are busy but it's almost two months, and yet no response. ...

Typical issues have risen since purchasing but the final walkthrough was horrible. Pulte Construction Manager was at first very responsive to things, generally; but, 3 months after purchase, Crickets/non responsive. Still finding defects! Kitchen cabinets are cheap builder grade (wish I inspected these before buying! Whomever designed this kitchen should stop drinking on the job or get more rest; home builder Pulte should be ashamed of this build! Cabinet's are some thin cheap S! L shaped with corner cabinets are hitting each other when fully opened. What an clarified poor, totally stupid ...

The sales experience, especially with Darla, was excellent—she was extremely helpful throughout the pre-sales process, and I have no complaints there. However, I was quite disappointed with the walkthrough process. There were clearly visible issues that were missed during the walkthrough. When we noticed one of them just three days after closing and submitted a warranty service request, it was rejected by the service manager, Nathan Lawrence. This has been very frustrating. Given the circumstances, I would like to escalate this matter to senior leadership at Pulte for further review.

Easy Buying Experience. House Not Ready for Move-In

The home buying experience was easy. After I moved in, it was a different story. The first few days identified several issues with the brand new home not being ready for me as I was assured it would be. Dishwasher not connected, washing machine and dryer not connected, water heater not programmed. A/C not working in half the house because they did not open the vents in the attic…when the tech went into the attic, we also discovered the lights had been left on. We were very happy overall with our home, but were a little annoyed that there was so much to ask for fixing in our first and second walkthroughs. This includes the kitchen sink being wrong. Though it is a good value for the price I paid, I had numerous challenges throughout the home buying process. The biggest issue is lack of communication and flexibility. I purchased the home which was backed out by another buyer and decided on few upgrades. Pulte is not at all flexible to make any changes to the structural upgrades though the construction has not even started. The second issue I faced is lack of communication and workmanship. From the initial walk-through we explained the handrail did not match what was in the showroom and just by looking at it, you could see it was poorly installed. We paid 17k for this “upgrade” and it has yet to be fixed. Each trade says doing this or doing that is someone else’s responsibility. It has been 2.5months and not been fixed and with the trades not taking responsibility and executing quality work, I don’t think it will ever be fixed properly. Opted for costly upgrades to the kitchen but was installed a shaker cabinet that was asymmetrical where one side had 2 doors and another side had only one. I'm afraid that our overall experience hasn't been super wonderful. I believe in an effort to close as many deals as possible at the end of 2022, we got "dropped". Gas stub, chandelier wiring, wrong countertops put into the bathrooms and laundry room...house wasn't cleaned at all properly (we spent days cleaning ourselves!), and the painting was not done well at all -- still pencil arrows and marks on the walls in many areas. Now, trying to get the counters put in as requested has really become a difficult issue...overall not happy.
