My opinion of Pulte is definitely lower after this experience. So much of the work was such poor quality workmanship. I’ve had clients build with nearly every builder but this was my first experience w Pulte. We were delayed a week on closing and there was really still so much more to be done. We’ve been working through things with warranty and they’re slowly handling things but a nice completed home definitely would have been preferred. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to wait and had to move in.

The material is good, but the architecture and workmanship were not so good, with several errors and rework (pandemic times). In the house, there is an Irritating creak noise when walking on the second floor since we got the key (due to a rework, not well-done, baths tiles are misaligned). The Driveway blocks are uneven in some areas in front and back of the house. The lamp switches are not standard places, it is oriented by cost, not by the functionality or standardization, even with space to install it. The builder needs encouragement, like any employee. They are very busy and can get side tracked with so many jobs going on at the same time. They are not self starters but if you make needs known sometimes they will work with you. For the most part they cannot custom anything. They have some phenomenal people working for them and that can make any organization great. We had some excellent experiences w/ some staff.

The sales representative Maria was worse than a used car sales rep. It seemed like she was say almost anything to purchase a home from her. We purchased our home long distance, in a pandemic and did everything virtually. Everything was extremely rushed and Maria did not review all of the available options with us. Once we had our walk through with the construction manager he pointed out a lot of upgrades/choices that we were not aware of. The "celebration walk" and the closing date is too short, the list to fix things identified during the walk was not 100% completed but we still have to check the "complete to my satisfaction" in order to have the closing signed and we can moving in a.s.a.p. I still have 2 issues not solve yet after the closing. For seniors not familiar with online app from the computer, don't expect help from the foreman to solve these issues for you, even a simple ones. The responsiveness to the issues after closing is almost none.

Working through the warranty process for some things that have needed fixing and it is taking a long time to get fixed. There is a lack of communication and I am having to consistently follow up.

We still have issues reaching out to the people that were supposed to complete The work at our home we were promised a prompt response to resolve this issues such As the a/c Not reaching master bedroom, garage door interior not completed, exterior wall stucco has a whole that may allow critters to enter the structure, there was a door delivered right before closing that was not painted completely, etc... it is unfortunate to have to leave such a bad review to a very prestigious company we feel deceived and tricked as one of the project managers assured us that this issues would be resolved ...

It is a challenge to have any particular item/issue repaired after closing. The model homes are spectacular and in optimal conditions but when they build your home, it is not exactly what they advertise in the model homes. I will most likely not consider Pulte Homes in the future.

Our home built by Pulte is ok. Why do I say that...just ok. It lacks the crisp, detailed, workmanship as we saw with the model home. Switches are not flat to the surface, tiles are chipped, door stoppers are not placed as should have been, AC vent system is not effectively designed and installed...ect

Be sure to do a thorough walk through before closing. Maybe hire an inspection company to do the inspection. Give the builder plenty of time after inspection to fix any issues before your closing date. After closing you have to deal with the warranty company and make yourself available for workers to come to your home and fix any issues not found during your initial inspection.

Don't just sign the contract and take things for granted until the pre-closing walk-thru. We visited the site on a regular basis and asked our construction manager a ton of questions about things that did not look right even to our untrained eye. Fortunately, he was diligent and responsive and did his best to set things right, in spite of being overworked with 14 houses under construction to supervised at the same time. The home itself is a lovely layout and thoughtful floor plan but many of the design details were missing. For the price we paid I would’ve expected our home to come with towel racks in the bathrooms, higher quality paint on the walls, cabinets that stop at 90 degrees to avoid banging against appliances and cleaner finishes in the details. Attempts to be a high quality builder and put customer concerns first but falls flat on the execution. Their website experience is a mess with multiple redundancies, the finance side of our purchase was a disaster with poor communications that impacted our closing date, and in terms of build quality- it is slightly above average. I am still waiting for warranty claims to be addressed after 3 months. They strive for excellence and have great staff that work hard but it falls flat.

Wish a better product was delivered. Multiple issues from windows and house numbers not centered to sand in the plumbing causing little or no water pressure at fixtures. Too many issues to feel confident with the quality of the home. If Pulte offered a buy back program. We might be interested.
