Customer Reviews

It was a wonderful experience until I closed on the home

I had initially worked with a hardworking Pulte team from the start to closing. They were very attentive and did what they could to get me to through my closing. Then closing happened and the quality of service began to taper off. The warranty team and the lack of customer attentiveness and professionalism specifically from my customer care manager has completely tainted my experience from great to terrible. I closed on Dec 1, 2023. It is January 25th and I have not been able to unpack my dishes, some major household furnitures, and quite frankly I have not enjoyed my new home because of ...

I was expecting a well done home, very disappointed, lots of unfinished issues.

We started the process to buy the house at the end of January, the Salesperson was very knowledgeable and helpful, but she left before we closed on the house, we were approved very quickly. Then we went to a design studio on another office appointment, plus a third one for electric, lighting, outside kitchen and many other things to add to the house. The appointment was too overwhelming, not enough time, not many nice choices and lot of extra money. In March, they call us because they made a mistake and canceled the contract, it was suspicious. We started the process again that lead them to ...

As Pulte is a very large company, the quality and professionalism differ per department. The sales department did a great job of showcasing and promising services, but as soon as the contract was signed, they let us hanging. The builders did a good job and we had great relationships with the construction managers. The worst experience we had was with Pulte Mortgage. Extremely unprofessional, not communicative, not helpful or supportive at all. We had to switch to another lender because it got so bad. The servicing is run at minimal effort. Things do get attended to but you have to wait, ...

Pulte was a very desirable choice for us because we could customize a lot and the home choices had the space we need for our large family. Our experience started out absolutely wonderful, about 2 months into construction is where we started feeling skeptical about the quality of product we were buying. We went through the house a few times as we were allowed to and saw a million cosmetic issues that we just thought “ oh they will fix that before the walk through”… they never did. We made it to the walk through and ran out of blue tape to mark the issues we found, obvious ones. After that, it ...

Rushed finishing work to close on house

Rushed to do walk through as the cleaners scurry out of front door. Expected to do a thorough walk through by myself, not advised to bring others to help. Many missed issues and then no further clean up after painters and others had to come in to fix the things seen on first walk through. Very sloppy, many paint spots all over carpet and tile. All tile grout filled with sand and dirt requiring many hours of me cleaning. Fuse for fridge went out within a week of moving in. A Shower drain not draining and they can't come out to fix for 2 weeks then they schedule it wrong and can't come for ...

Poor workmanship due to rushing experienced leak in master bedroom on my very first day of moving in. Cable wiring incorrectly done and electrical wiring as well. Lots of issues still going on and have been waiting for resolution almost 2 months now.

Not happy that Pulte didn't finished all the items on the walk through list prior to closing

We had a great experience with our Sales person Maria. She was very responsive to all our questions. Pulte can improve on their workmanship by making sure everything was completed prior to closing. We had a lot of items on the walk through that were never completed and still waiting to be completed a month after the closing. Also clean up of sidewalks should have been done as stains from constructions are very noticeable and ruins the curb appeal of the house and the neighborhood. We had a technician come to our house and he noticed the stains on the sidewalks in front of our house right ...

They will rush you into your decisions and promise lots of things but damaged doors, holes in walls and ceilings, broken fixtures, fading paint, the list goes on. Paying half million for a house you expect a level of quality that just isn't there. 2022 must have been a bad year for laborers.

Our construction manager, Evan, was really good and went above and beyond. In comparison to our other new builds - everything else regarding the Pulte experience has been average to below average. There is not much of a follow up after you get the keys. The sales agent completely disappears (at least ours did). And lastly, make sure to get all issues with the home resolved before moving in because it can possibly take months to get things fixed under the warranty.

Pulte - Poor Follow Up Service After Close

  • Anonymous
  • Verified HomeBuyer

If you are closing on a Pulte Home, try to ensure all major items are fixed prior to signing. Reported items afterward do not get addressed and you are ignored. It's just rude and disrespectful, this is a very common conversation with other homeowners in the neighborhood. They may have a 30% profit margin for their shareholders, but it comes at the expense of their customers.

Home buying experience started great, good communication with construction manager. But then I had the worst closing experience, delaying it by days just the day before closing which made me lose money; issues that should have been fixed by closing day were not fixed until the day of this review (2 months after closing); no response to my requests for service from the warranty department; disappointing quality of materials.

I have closed my home during Thanks giving. The response from the Sales team and initial Construction manager was very good. They helped me clarifying all my doubts. But post closing, the new construction manager uis not responsive and corporative at all. He denied working on the exception items as he didn't receive it from previous manager and asked me to contact warranty team. I contacted warranty team and received a note that it has been passed to my warranty manager. Its been 2 weeks now and no one contacted me for my open items.

We were super excited to build with Pulte but it turned out to be a nightmare for the simple fact that our house was rushed .......due to what our head guy said. He stated that he wanted more time but Pulte wanted him to get our house off their so called "books". we have every thing from unfinished walls to damaged doors to damaged countertops to damaged tile to missing hardware on the cabinets to all of our black hardware being painted white...it just hasn't been a fun experience at all. The outside of the house has yet to be even fully painted. our amazing warranty specialist is working on ...

Since the beginning the relationship was based on the fact that they were going a favor selling this home to me. got the house delay 4month (interest rate went up from 3% to 4.8%) and the closing was a nightmare. If it wasn't because I had no home to stay I would not accept the house and not close.

After 6 months of waiting, which was fair and understandable due to supply chain issues, the final product had several issues upon move in. 1. AC was not working upon move in and we had stay at a hotel on our first night after driving from San Diego, CA. My family was exhausted from the cross country trip, only to come home to an oven. 2. Poor craftsmanship on the home. Lots of details missed put together poorly. Far from professional work. I’ve been in Open Houses of much older homes that had better craftsmanship. 3. Plumping issues Definitely not what we expected. To top it off, the ...

Sale support is great. But quality of workmanship is questionable. Tile lippages are obvious in many place at family room. Paint left on hinges and door handles. Some repair requests are ignored and not fixed. Wall oven and microwave oven touch screen is broken. One shower drainage is clogged. Bottom coroners of counter top look old and need touchup.

Pulte title company was horrific at communications. Omar Wes and Maria kept me sane through this process and they were the only reason I continued to move forward with pulte. A lot of the issues I had were with the trades and the poor workman ship. I’m now in my home and see so many flaws. Whenever i reach out to Pulte warranty, they have an excuse for everything, which is unacceptable in a house that cost so much. My lights dim and flicker and their own electrician told me that my house was underpowered. My carpet is torn, baseboard missing paint, tons of drywall seems can be seen through ...

Our sales rep at the beginning of the process of buying our home was fantastic. He was proactive in his communication, regularly checking in to provide updates about the progress of our home purchase and build. Our construction manager was responsive in a timely manner to our requests for updates. We understood the lack of proactive communication, because he expressed that he was extremely busy because he was the only Spanish-speaking employee in the area so had many Spanish-speaking clients he had to liaise with. Still, he was able to provide a timely response to any questions we had. As we ...
