Working with Pulte Mortgage was an excellent experience. However, we were building this home from a different state and the building manager was not as responsive as we would have liked. It was local friends who were able to take pictures and keep us up to date. Communication with the onsite people could be improved.

The Pulte experience overall was really wonderful. As a first time homebuyer I felt every single person I interacted with that works for Pulte was patience and answered all of my questions and really supported my experience. The area where I felt could use some improvement is the workmanship on small details. To be fair we purchased a home through a pandemic but the home was turned over to us with a lot of small details that were not done well or done incorrectly and as stated we purchased our first home and expected something closer to being done “perfectly.” They will come back to fix these little things which I am so happy about. Had a good experience with Pulte!

Overall quality of the product is good but attention to details before close is very poor. Many issues would have been avoided if tradesmen and proj manager had performed final quality inspection. IE appliances installed but no power to them, lots of paint splatters on tile floor, no garage door opener etc. Easy items to resolve if final inspection actually performed. Lack of transparency on when we will receive appliances that were contracted is infuriating. Not asking for Pulte to improve supply chain, just tell us what you know instead of "we have no information" ... and neighbor waiting over 7 months for appliances. ... More

We had a great relationship throughout the whole process, from the time we started looking at the models to the start of the building to closing.

Your experience through out the home buying experience are directly tied in to who is your sales person and manager. Tyler and David are truly professionals.

Pulte does build a good, well-designed home IF the field team has adequate labor & with time to do it right; materials with ability to refuse to install damaged materials i.e., we have multiple, 40+ chipped tiles installed, trim pieces 1/2" short plugged with globs of caulk, paint splatter and droplets all over floor, paver stains, paint on sliders, slider tracks filled with mortar/debris, etc.). A lot is asked of the site team and my impression is that it is all about delivering it to closing even if it is a rush job. I liked and trusted the site supervisor, but it was a series of challenges he had to face to get materials & labor coordinated & communications with the future owners. Now we are on to the multiple post move in 30 day "cosmetic" issues and thus far it is not going well, one vendor out of 4-5 has showed up on the date schedule, so another day sitting around for nothing. ... Our Southwestern Florida Home built by Pult in is Amazingly Solid, very pleased, however we worked with them so they could close us by the end of the year knowing we had a dozen items on the Punch (Still to do list). This is where they totally dropped the ball, very unresponsive,...Very disappointing.

Nice people to work with

We closed on our home 12/30/2021. There is a myriad of issues with our home. The warranty department is overloaded with other homeowners with issues. One of our neighbors has been dealing with the same issues for over a year. John, head of SWFL Pulte warranty, says they have 47 people working in warranty. I suggested that Pulte hire more construction managers and better contractors vs. trying to deal with quality issues after. Why? Because the warranty people doing the warranty work are also subpar. We've built multiple homes, and the honest truth is I would never buy another Pulte home. We now have help with an attorney (provided by Microsoft, my employer), file a complaint with BBB, and also lemon law re: a $5k pool heater that has never worked that the contractor refuse to replace. ... I recommend Pulte above all other builders. Great selection that other builders don’t give.

Responsiveness to issues has been excellent.

From the initial sale, the build and after, Pulte has been nothing but fabulous to work with. Our field manager has been super responsive from day one and is top notch; we couldn’t be happier in our beautiful home. Pulte was fabulous to work with!

Terrible experience, total nightmare, many many issues..

Our experience was great! We love our house!

I would like to say to others that are new buyers, remember that you are buying a new house and there will be issues to deal with such as paint touch ups-replacing a piece of tile. But what ever it is, Pulte Homes will be there to make it right. Bottom line, Pulte Homes are the best builder in southwest Florida.

Between the lots, home models, and finishing touches, there are plenty of great options to choose from, allowing you to spend as much or as little as you are comfortable with to customize your home. Bumps are to be expected, and going through this process for the first time we learned a lot! We would build with Pulte again in the future based on our recent experience.

Blake who was responsible for building our home was awesome. His efforts and team made this experience worth the wait.

Be aware of options you pick. You have to pay extra for almost everything to get a decent home. The walk through was a joke. Also they do not hire skilled people (probably because of Covid) I have been here two months and still have issues, especially my daughters home next door. Floor plan is nice. I cannot write a great review when there was so many issues after moving in.

The process was good from the sales(Chip was great), design(Don't remember the lady's name but she was great), and build(Blake was good). Unfortunately due to us having COVID we were unable to do our walk-through so there are a few things not done. Now the home is done and we have been waiting approximately 57 days for a short list to get fixed. I have taken time off of work twice to meet the warranty guy and contractors at the house. He has been a no show twice...and miraculously the four or five contractors that were schedule also couldn't make it. I am supposed to meet him today on my day off...and have texted him twice with no response. Unprofessional, extremely inconvenient for my family, and simply uncalled for. Not Happy with warranty. ...
