Pulte Homes Reviews in Punta Gorda, FL

I was expecting more in the finished product with Pulte. Maybe it is related to the subcontractors in our community, maybe the process. We still have unfinished punch out work that is yet to be completed after 90 days post closing. Moreover, I have 2 cabbage/Sabal palm trees that have died and was told that Pulte does not warranty landscape trees/scrubs nor does the company that installed them. The trees should have lasted more than 90 days. Very disappointed in their answer to a defective tree.

Our experience with Pulte has been very positive from the very beginning to completion and moving in to our new home. Just a very few small issues needed to be taken care of, and the Pulte Warranty handled them very quickly.

From the first meeting with a sales representative to the construction team leaders who were always responsive, we could not be more pleased.

The Sales Representative and the Building Supervisor were excellent. Both worked to build our house in the manner we wanted. But, they were constrained by what they were allowed to do. These are not semi-custom houses, but are builder houses that have some options. Even when not doing something that was on the plan would have saved time and money. It still could not be done. If we picked an option to add something there was always a charge, but when we opted to leave out something there was never any credit. We now have had to pay someone to take out and finish several areas the way we wanted. We understand that building houses in the same way aids cost containment and helps with time lines. But, to us the house purchaser it became costly and frustrating. Due to Covid 19 the warranty work that needs to be done has not started yet, but should be started in 1 1/2 weeks. The basic floor plan is very well done and the quailty is resonable for a “builder” house. There are a few things that did not make sense; 1) the light switch in the Mater bathroom is behind the door when you enter the bathroom, 2) the “built in bench” in the shower Is actual dangerous. It is 27 1/2 “ high. You have to lift yourself up to sit on it! It is recommended that a built in shower seat be no lower than 17” and no higher than 19”, 3) the decorative tile band in the shower is lower than it should be. If you are standing in the shower (which is lower than the bathroom floor) it is OK, but when standing in the bathroom it is visually not a pleasing hight. 4) there are not enough electrical outlets in the laundry room. Yes, it meets code, but a builder with Pulte’s reputation should do better. and 6) All the lights and the shower vent, in the Mater bathroom, came on with one switch. They need to be separated out. Good workmanship.

i am overall very happy with the attendance and and the way the project was organized and conducted by Pulte. this applies to all involved departments, sales design center, construction and construction supervision. schedule was ahead of time. looking forward to move in.

We have had several issues immediately after buying, several cracked tiles noticed it appears Installed this way and tile chips, uneven floor with dips, cracked driveway pavers. Quality of kitchen cabinets is poor, had warranty work on cabinets and when they put the doors back they are now uneven, And draw keeps falling off track, Incorrect spacing of wires for tv wall hanging. Dripping gutter, house lacked final cleaning with dried grout or caulk on floor and very difficult to get off. Dripping kitchen faucet and loose bathroom faucet handle, loose entryway door step paver. Crack in garage floor. We could keep going but I think you get our thoughts. ... More

Pulte is a good builder. Be sure to ask about EVERYTHING so there won't be surprises. We asked about the kitchen fan venting when looking at the model home and were originally told that the fan vented to the outside. When we went to the design center when constructing our home, we were informed differently and then had to pay $650.00 more to have exterior venting.

I’ve purchased 3 new homes before this one, and Pulte definitely ranks 1st for quality, responsiveness and scheduled build.

Made a list of repairs with Builders during walk through 2 months ago which they promised to fix but have only fixed one MINOR issue. There is very little communication. Once you close with Pulte, they forget all about you. The warranty department is no better. They set up appointments and when service arrives, the repair man doesnt repair the issue that the appointment was for.

Project managers were excellent. Having worked as one myself. They couldn’t have been more attentive to my needs since I was out of state during the build . They kept me apprised of the progress each step of the way. Tanner also kept us updated. One item I think Pulte should have is a checklist of options to make the process easier. There were items we would have wanted but didn’t think about

Great folks to work with. Everyone does their best.

During our pre-drywall walk through our builder said, "This is a happy house." and it has continued to be. Sure there are a couple of things that still need to be addressed but I have never worked on a project that was perfect. We are very happy with the quality of the construction and the changes to the basic plan we selected. Our neighbors are complimentary and often wishing they had done the same. Now we are in the middle of adding our personal touches.

We selected to build a Pulte home because of the available options, which were not offered by all of the builders in the community. While there were some hiccups along the way, we are very pleased with the house and can't wait to make it a home.

We are very happy with our new home! What we like about Pulte is the quality of homes they build and you get to select what upgrades and colors you want to make it your own style. Chip was our salesman and he was excellent! Very conscientious of our needs and quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had. Overall, very happy with our new home!

We find minor blemishes in the new house we purchased. Which would be nice is to be able to report such conditions in a systematic way using a web application with a way to comprehend the estimated time of a fix. This would minimize customer anxiety of anticipation.
