Since closing and occupying my home I have been getting the run around concerning service requests from the Project managers, all the way up the latter to the VP of Construction. Seems like there is little recourse.

Better than most builders but still need improvements

There is no question that in today's market is quite impossible to receive a value comparable to the amount of money you pay for a home. Houses are built in a hurry and many times builders cut corners to maximize profit. My happy with the house but in less than a month living there I already spotted many quality of workmanship & materials issues that really makes you think is the house really worth what we paid for it.

Overall the experience was not as good as it should have been. It was very hard to get responses from the customer service representatives for the neighborhood and they were not ready for us to move in come the closing date. Throughout the build, we would get a weekly or bi-weekly update via phone to discuss progress but were never provided pictures when we weren't even in the same state for much time during the building process. I didn’t really want to move here. I had lived in Carrollton for over forty years and many of my friends are there, but family concerns took precedent...the house of fine. It’s built like a tank, but the garage is ridiculously small. That’s my only beef...everything else is fine. The neighborhood is cool.

Pulte has been awful with the quality of work that has been performed, I have shutters that are coming of the home, I have not been in the home but a little over 60 days. The wood on my deck has completely cracked, there has been absolutely no one from warranty to address these issues whatsoever.

Do a thorough inspection of your new home. I found a few things that need fixing. Luckily it's under warranty. Door sticking, Rattling noise in the air vent, hole on the master bathroom dry wall, hardwood floors has scratches in bedroom, hallway, kitcken, kitchen cabinet pullout drawer where stuck missing screws, front porch and back patio ceiling needs to be repainted. I loved the layout of the house. And most of all, I do like the location it is close to everything. Kroger, Publix, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Target, Sam's Club, and fast foods.

Several years back when I moved to Atlanta I had great experience with Pulte. They built my new townhouse and I was included each step of the way, had a great finished product and great follow up. For this purchase/build, I purposely sought them out as this was to be my 'retirement' home (as in I didn't want to move again until I truly retire in a few years). But with all that has happened since I financed with Pulte, took ownership of the house and lived here for a few weeks I do not plan to A) stay here for the long haul or B) invest in another Pulte home. I love my new home, I had a water leak the next week, it was fixed but the Sod has not been replaced in 6 weeks/ looks horrible, I have one set of jingles in my bathroom needs replacing the wrong color. So all I have to say is stay on the builder or replace yourself.

We moved to our townhome at Park side at Mason Mill about 3 months ago: 1.) Plumbing clogged the 3rd week after we moved in; the farmhouse sink and toilets overflowed. Several things that were “fixed”’prior to closing were done so poorly that they look horrible and are “just cosmetic” and will not be repaired per the warranty. It’s sad to see how very little pride was taken by the builders and the trades when building our home. No one seemed to care about paint drips, adhesive left on cabinets, shoe molding not matching up, caulking missing, mismatched paint, etc. I was pressured into leaving a “good review” for our builder because “that’s how I keep food on the table for my family” but there are many issues we have found that should have never been allowed ...

Overall, we are pleased with our new home from Pulte Homes. We had communication issues with our project manager during the build process. The house wasn’t cleaned to our expectation prior to closing. There were several items on our punch list that weren’t fixed prior to closing - our project manager stopped communicating about a month after closing, so we submitted service requests via Pulte’s website. Jason has been overseeing those service requests, and he’s been great. He called me immediately, came out a few days later to walk the house and look at the items which needed to be fixed, and ...

When I found out that Pulte was the builder I did not have high hopes and Pulte did not disappoint. The house was wrong from they day the footers were dug incorrectly which is an issue I had to point out to the Field Manager myself. There isn’t enough space to go into detail with all the issues that we encountered during this build. I fully expect there to be major structural issues with the house within the 10 year structural warranty.
