Absolutely not a great experience buying home with Pulte, they do not maintain the community after the closing. They do not respond on time, for warranty issues, have been trying to reach construction manager, their responsiveness is absolutely disastrous.

During the home buying process, as an attorney who handles real estate transactions, the process was a bit unconventional as there were no attorneys handling the deal, but the process went smoothly overall. However, our window is cracked and we are missing a screen and there has been no response from Pulte. We have a baby on the way and we have not received any communication on when this window will be fixed or even acknowledgement of our window issue.

Upon arriving with 2 (two) trucks from Florida (2 days) driving with household items were we informed that the closing was delayed and that we had to wait till electrical power was connected to our Townhome. Highly unprofessional and a hardship upon the owner and kids. We had to stay in a hotel and later on in a rental home. The problems we endured unloading and packing our goods in other trucks and stores again were the worst experiences ever for a new Pulte home buyer.

We are happy with the way our new home turned out. Everything looks better than expected. Although there were times we felt communication could have been better, it was an overall great experience and our Pulte team (Brandon and Jesse) were very responsive to our questions or needs.

My overall homebuying experience with the Pulte Group was exceptional. This is my third home purchase, but the first-time buying a new home. Working with Brandon, Celeste, Gem, Stacy, Kathy and Jesse made the whole process a pleasure.

The home turned out gorgeous and the Pulte team that we worked with was so easy and on top of every last detail. I would 100% recommend building with Pulte.

Communication was great throughout the process. Multiple touch points to visit the home while under construction. The house was delivered on time.

Our home buying experience with Pulte, from start to finish, was positive and even exceeded our expectations. Any questions,concerns or issues we had were addressed and resolved in a timely manner. Both Jesse and Kyle are knowledgeable professional and were easy to work with. We moved into a Pulte home a few of months ago. The buying process was straightforward, although the information requested when asked simple questions was less than ideal. There were many cosmetic finish issues, stairs that creak so loud (not some of them) but most of them, floor creaks that are apparent, touch ups to paint that are noticeable, overspray of mud/paint in places like the tile in the shower areas, and more. Just did not expect so much "imperfect" work in a new construction. I filed the work orders for the cosmetic issues about 3 weeks ago and I believe they are advising that those issues would be resolved in 1 year - I have not heard from anyone but that is my understanding when we closed the home. Not a huge deal just expected more when paying so much for their homes. The market rate for the same home is approximately 100k-150k less. My expectations buying a home from a national home builder was not high, but I assumed that the basics (cleaning, paint, drywall mudding, creaks, ect) would be satisfactory. Overall, if you have the time allotted to search for a new home, I would advise to go with a local home builder, there is more quality, craftsmanship, and pride in their work. ... More

From start to the end, we had a very good experience. Pulte home’s design team, architect team especially Eric- good guys to work with, very well focused. Pulte mortgage Ed and Laurie both are very helpful and good people, they know what they are doing. Ed is very kinda in all the manner. Pulte sales- I had a bit of issue with them, I believe one of the girl is not in the right job, she should be in collection business not in home sales.

Buying a home with Pulte was a bit of a challenge. I think the product is nice and a good value, but they definitely oversell what they provide. For instance, we got the smart home package which on their website claims to include a video doorbell. We only found out this apparently no longer includes that feature weeks before our closing? Even though the website still states the smart home package includes a video doorbell...? Also, our builder Garrison was pretty arrogant and insecure during many occasions. For instance, he assured us the baseboards that were installed 1 week before closing were correct only to find out after our closing all baseboards had to be re-installed because he was actually wrong...? Also, we had a family friend come with us for a pre-drywall walkthrough since my wife and I are not aware of what to look for in these situations only to be told that we COULD NOT bring anyway with us at our final walkthrough. This seems odd since we are paying a lot of money for a house but we can't bring in any counsel to help us keep Garrison and his team accountable and to give us peace of mind? We also know of other homes in our development where there is constantly trash littered within the home, some shotty worksmanship, and even things such as hot plates with ground beef scattered all about the home. Pulte really tries to sell their quality and first class product and service which just did not measure up to reality. However, all in all, the house does look great and after a couple of weeks in, my wife and I are happy so far. So little situations or annoyances aside, we do believe that Garrison and his team did build a nice house that we are looking forward to making our home for years to come. ... More

There is lot of air leak from all the windows and when we approached the team they informed us that it is how they have manufactured Did we ask for that kind of windows which wont stop the cold air coming inside Staying in Illinois no one needs a house like this We paid the amount for this house no one gifted this to us No proper insulation entire house cannot maintain same temperature Lennar was the best when it comes to quality

Post closing customer care is not good. Haven’t got any response for the issue which was raised a month ago

The Construction Project Managers: Anthony, Brandon & Tyler, were very professional and responsive throughout our entire build experience. They readily answered our questions, resolved any concerns, and made sure our home met the Pulte expectations. We felt they went above our expectations and we value their commitment to customer satisfaction and a quality build experience.

Pulte has been very professional, they are great to work with. Explain every step of new home buying process well. Love my new home!

From the Day we booked till the day of closing we had zero trouble . The entire Pulte team of highland woods were instrumental in the this entire process . I have zero complaints so far and hope will have the same experience throughout. Special shoutout to Diane/Brian (pulte highlandwoods) and Vicky(Loan Team)

After hearing worrisome stories from friends moving here, we were expecting lots of issues. WE have been here for one month and have yet to find an issue! Zack, the assistant property manager, has been excellent in responding to our questions and addressing any concerns. Well done Pulte!

If I could change something it would be the elevation and house selection which was rushed and not explained at all. Explanation about structural add ons to the house was poor and lot appearance features like height and elevation not explained. I had no idea the about the details like shingles, garage door appearance etc. Craftsmanship and, closing has overall been good.

We love our new home. Plan on spending a couple hundred thousand more than the base price. The lot is not included. And everything is an upgrade. Everything!! If I was younger, I would have taken the included kitchen and tore it out to remodel after purchase. I’m just not up to living through a major remodel at this point. I do feel it is mostly a quality build, especially ventilation and structure. Service after close has been prompt but they were unable to resolve a faulty low quality kitchen pull out. The convenience kitchen package was not worth it. The only other thing that looks lower quality is the baseboard and the lack of shoe molding. We were notified that our selected backsplash was discontinued and they wouldn’t allow us to go to the showroom to pick another one. They wanted us to pick it from their online link. We decided to get our own after the build. For the same price, we got a much higher quality beautiful backsplash on our own. Overall, we are very happy with our new home. We were searching a home long time in Plainfield area. We found some hut some of not enough some of was too old. Finally when i drive i cross with pulte office and everything changed that day. I think it was fate. We love model house and we got same. Thanks for all Pulte team from the begining to end.

The home buying/sales part was ok. Just like a normal buying house process would be. Long story short… the house designs are beautiful and spacious.. I just would think at the price I paid I would expect better than my final product. Inside doors were horribly painted. The plywood boards underneath the floor planks make knocking/clunk noises as you walk around the house. The drywall in almost every room has been sanded down bad. I cant say I can find a smooth wall in any room. Some kitchen cabinets dont sit flush. Caulking/paint is smeared around the back splash area in the kitchen. The kitchen cabinet’s crown molding has a complete hair line crack going thru the middle. Carpeting in some areas has not been installed close to the walls. I can see the plywood. There are a lot of nails near the wall where the carpet ends. Some drywalls were installed crooked. Uneven walls. Water leaks in 2 areas in the foundation noticed on the same day of moving in. The bottom base of 2 door frames are loose. If you place your foot on there with full weight the base will come up. The list goes on and on. I am not knit picking these are all legit complaints. Jesse is very pleasant to deal with and super responsive. He follows through and addresses issues promptly. We really like working with him.

The Pulte have delivered a Home as we saw it in the model homes. The quality of the work is excellent and after care from the property manager and support team is exceptional.
