Great floor plan. Great Project Manager. Some disappointing sub-contractors

Overall, we love our new home. We were sold on the floorplan almost as soon as we walked into the home the very first time - we definitely feel like Pulte has listened to people and designed a home that truly works for families. Our Project Manager Ian was fantastic to work with - he kept us updated about the project and how we were progressing. He took care of the concerns we had and did everything in his power to ensure issues were resolved in a timely manner. Unfortunately, the cast of sub-contractors left something to be desired at times. We did not feel like some of the crews ...

Homes layout is a hilltop which has a nice layout, however the quality of the home is poor, paint had many issues, drywall texture was cracking was supposed to be fixed before closing and only some of it was fixed. Sewer smell coming from all the sinks.

There are always issues after closing. Most are minor, but there isn’t great customer service or responsiveness after closing by construction manager. We are an afterthought. There should be a person on the construction side to make customers requests feel important post closing for all issues, especially the non warranty issues. Dropping the ball here is what dropped the score.

Great start to the race, tripped at the finish line

Pulte in Indiana builds some nice homes and we had a good experience with sales and Mortgage folks. Due to the skyrocketing home prices and Pulte trying to sell as much as humanly possible to get money, their workmanship went down quite a bit. Along with high turnover rates in their own employees on the construction side, it’s becoming a bit of a nightmare. If your planning to buy a pulte home, I would still recommend but understand you need a high level of due diligence and its best to get all their work double checked by outside parties.

House was rushed and lots of mistakes just ignored because they use different contractors. I still have tape on my walls and cabinets that was suppose to be taken care of before moving in. I keep finding issues daily since moving in a month ago. They are going to need to redo my downstairs flooring it’s that bad! The people you work with are super nice but they are overworked and can’t provide the customer service and project management required!

We purchased a build that already had its custom features selected by someone who was going to purchase but chose not to. There were a lot of things that were told to us about the home that turned out not to be exactly correct. Which we did not learn until after we moved in. The materials used inside the home are not top of the line as we were told. The cabinetry is mass produced and cheaply made. The LVP flooring that was raved about is Shaws cheaper LVP that scratches and scuffs very easily. The service was subpar as well the items that were suppose to be completed before closing were ...

Pretty good experience, a lot of things Pulte can work on like transparency during purchase, double checking everything paid for is installed, quality of materials, higher quality contract workers/builders, not trashing home with food drinks while building. They have fixed some complaints. Overall my children and I are happy.

As first-time home builders, our experience was mixed.

While the sales and design phases went smoothly, we were disappointed with the construction process. Although we were assigned a construction manager, it quickly became clear that we needed to be our own advocates throughout the build. On our own initiative, we discovered that plumbing for a second shower head in the master bath was missed. Additionally, the wrong paint color was used throughout the home, requiring a complete repaint. We also identified cracked roof trusses that needed to be addressed. Although our construction manager promised to send pictures confirming the roof trusses ...

Framing isn't square, and the finish work isn't great. Do not believe that you will get a complete landscaped yard unless you're willing to accept all weeds in the back and standing water. Without a landscape warranty, they will simply shrug off the poor landscape job, resulting in the new homeowner having to pay thousands of dollars to correct the backyard.

The house has more issues than what I expected, it seems like there is not much attention to the little details . The finish on the walls is bad. I have several issues that we keep finding issues that could have been avoided if there was a quality control. I been in the house for 3 month and still haven’t fix one off the main issue that was point out when we inspected it the house which it was the main so sewer line. Also landscaping is bad.

Lack of training for consultants that are selling the homes. Post build cleaning is not adequate for move in. Dusty , countertops dirty and windows dirty. Company pushes for a 10/10 in order to close on home. Comes back to fix or correct things afterwards.

There are a number of things that were not done correctly and still have not been addressed over a month later including a gas leak under our cook top, electrical, a garage door that wasn't painted the right color, sub-par cleaning the day of our closing (we could not hold up closing because we needed to get in), etc.

Without these 2 men, the experience would continue to be a mess. Pulte is not a trustworthy company to be honest and you have to be on top of them at all times. These 2 men who are our construction team have been the buffer and the silver lining to the rest of what has happened. We were not given a pre foundation meeting we should have had due to yet another firing of a construction manager which seems to be rampant (our neighbor had 4!!) and without that meeting we had NO idea our home was going to A) be on a ski slope and B) be set so far back we lose have our yard. Multiple options to upgrade ( but with a steep cost off course), allows to build and add on your choices. The sales team was very helpful in choices and explanations. The construction side of folks, take their time to respond. The closing got messy as the corporate and the construction team were not on the same page and had to delay closing by four weeks. We are still working on clearing some last minute kinks, but overall the follow up team is responding well. Overall a good experience. I will choose them if I am interested in a lot of personalization to my build.

It’s a house, it got built

The home building process was stressful and delayed. Not all the delays were due to labor and supply shortages. Some of them were due to an inexperienced construction manager and trades that made mistakes. The price of the house was high compared to what you could get 5-10 years ago. The quality of the build was medium-high. No major issues, but some components were not done to my satisfaction and I plan to replace certain things within a year or two. The build took almost 15 months and the delays caused major inconvenience to my family. The house itself is good and overall is something that ...

As a retired realtor, I found my experience to be quite stressful. The fact that we have been living in our new home for six weeks and we are still scheduling service calls to complete tasks that should have been completed correctly from the beginning is somewhat unacceptable. Had it not been for Austin, our construction manager, I would have totally lost it.
