Overall, we really like our house. We have been in our house for almost 6 weeks and the kitchen still is not complete.

I’ve built with Pulte before (in Tennessee) and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Well. The Indianapolis area Pulte experience couldn’t have been more different. The framing/structure of the home is sturdy and well done, thankfully. My nitpicky, former custom builder father inspected that. But the finishes and sloppy craftsmanship is unacceptable. Here’s the shortlist of issues with workmanship: - Scratches on glass shower door - Lopsided spindles on staircase - Scratches on the luxury vinyl tile floors - Scratches, nicks, and dents in the kitchen cabinets - Tears in screen door (and it was installed upside down) - Crack in window glass - Exposed hole in the floor behind toilet - Windows were installed so high it’s impossible to buy ready-made curtains - Dents in exterior doors - the list goes on… Now, I expect there to be some fixes required. What is unacceptable is I closed nearly THREE months ago and NONE of the promised repairs have been completed. In fact, I’ve emailed the construction manager who was handling my home three times now with no response. He quit responding a week or two after my closing. They build your new home, then you feel like you got a used home due cosmetic damage to flooring, cabinets, walls, etc,

We love our new Pulte home.

This was a horrific experience. It took over a month after closing to get a dishwasher. We still do not have the correct refrigerator. Sales person Kurt was great! Last of 4 project managers tried to play recovery from the failure of the 3 previous non-existent ones. Banking and finance through Pulte move at a snails pace. Insurance was a rip off through Pulte and wasn’t enough to cover the house. This still has to be changed! It was a nightmare. I can’t rate less than 1 star without ignoring the email.

Pulte kept to the original timeline. That was important to ensure moving went smoothly. House plan and layout of house is good. It fit better than any other builder (for the price). Challenges were with finish-work and cleanliness. Throughout the project there was constant piles of trash both inside and outside the house. After drywall and flooring, there was mud tracked through, drywall clumps and dust EVERYWHERE, and the cleanup at various key stages was skipped. How do we know? All the trim work is embedded with dust that was painted over and occasional large drip marks dried in place. We had laminate throughout the house with slight overspray along all the walls on the floor. We pulled out the Oven and dishwasher to find clumps of drywall mud dried on the floor and dust that was never cleaned/swept. Terrible enforcement on simple "cleanup after your work" was enforced. Finish work was short as well. Finish carpentry had many gaps that needed re-caulked, poor touchups, and doors with chipped paint and scratches. What was the most painful was the flooring. We had hundreds of rubber hammer marks all over. These were pointed out with each inspection with the supervisor saying it would get resolved. On closing day, they were still there and the excuse was they simply wipe up. Turns out they did not. We had to use mineral spirits to scrub each mark and then rinse with water. We spent DAYS cleaning the floor and still find places. Ridiculous! The only feedback when conveyed again to the supervisor was that “those marks will disappear over time.” Overall, the house is built well and has a great feel, but fell short when it came to delivery at the end. When you spend three weeks cleaning a new house, it does not feel you got your money's worth. The bright point is our Sales person (Obie). She helped identify all the options we had to choose from and was good at finding answers. For example, we needed laminate everywhere and no carpet. She made it happen! We had several additions for lights added and other changes. She ensured all were identified and worked into the build. In closing, we would recommend and build with Pulte again, but be more hands-on with the supervision of the build. That was the part that was lacking. Pulte closes the homes with the appliances not working properly. They give little to no time to review the appliances on the day of closing. Leave us to deal with the warranty team after closing

Pulte’s poor communication and commitment disappoints us so much. They really need complete responsibilities and accountability to listen carefully and timely communicate. Most importantly they have to take action but not simply disregard or inaction. Very disappointed and unpleasant experience.

It was nice to have good communication with the builder and their managers. Quick answers to tough questions were not uncommon.

After paying the deposit, it's hard to find the builder when you want to find it. I don't know why.

The overall process of Pulte's homebuilding experience was within our expectations, however the lack of communication and remaining open items that were addressed before closing, and continue to linger for over a month now are cause for concern. Communication throughout the entire build process was lacking which caused different issues and items to be addressed at the last second and remain open. All-in-all we love the house, we just wish there was more responsiveness from Pulte.

Overall poor from sales to construction. Multiple project managers with poor communication, sales with over promises, and a swamp in my backyard making it unusable. Already considering moving.

We love the house, however, the quality of craftsmanship was not what we expected. They were prompt to address the many issues that were noted during the build process.

Our experience was plagued by lack of communication and our field manager was changed three times during the build process. The last month of the build was a complete rush and showed in the quality of the workmanship at the end.

The build quality is not that great. LVP (vinyl plank) flooring was popped up everywhere within the house and it is making noise everywhere. Within one week we see the windows are leaking because of rain. The workers didn't finished it properly and Builder is not even worried about checking that as a priority Drywall finishing is aweful.. We see lot of gaps between the wall and floor. I assume the builder is offering accommodation to lots of bugs and insects. The gap between house slab and patio concrete is way too much (it's more than half inch). These gaps should not be there in the summer. But i am seeing these gaps for: patio Concrete and house slab. between wall & flooring We closed this house during June 2021, during summer we should not expect these issues ... More

Attention to blueprints/house plans can be an issue. Contractors get lazy due to familiarity with layouts. Project manager relationship is key. Ours, Jon, communicated and responded quickly with emails and phone. Overall with covid and supply chain delays the process was smooth and exciting seeing something new being created.

We’re forced to close on unfinished home with a promise that everything will be taken care. But was never finished. Initially kept sending people to fix stuff and then stopped responding and when asked for upper management. Sales agent said she is not going to give upper management contact. She said she is not authorized to give upper management contact. Project manager always kept making excuses and telling us that he is going to fix everything. House is graded so badly neighbors water running into out lot and staying wet all the time. Build 6 ft wall without telling us about it at pre-construction meeting. Project manager told us 2 weeks before closing that they will be building a wall with stairs access to the back yard but stairs were missing. After closing started denying saying that they are not going to build stairs. My 6 year old son fall from the wall yesterday. Luckily he was not hurt besides little scratches. There is no safety around the wall at all. I have tried contacting but no response and also wrote reviews on google Fb and other places. ... More

Everyone from sales to construction was very responsive and communicating any issues or updates. I know it’s a crazy market but was please with Pulte team for the job they did as busy as they were

We have built two homes with Pulte. And overall they have a quality, well built product. The staff members that we worked with were fantastic!!!

Love our home now that’s it’s done but it was a long time coming that required a lot of oversight which was very frustrating at times.

Jodee was excellent to work with and timely with all my requests, the mortgage team was friendly and helpful my field manager was quick to take action for any issues but seemed to lack the time to ensure the quality of the work being done. Overall good experienced team but maybe the amount of construction might be impacting quality.

We had a great experience building our dream home with Pulte. We would recommend them to anyone we know.
