We love our home and our happy we purchased. But the service we have received after we closed, has been absolutely awful. Our house was not cleaned prior to moving in, our yard was a complete mess with garbage from construction and we were promised by Andreas it would be cleaned up. Nobody ever came to clean it up and they just came out with bulldozers and covered it all with dirt. So now we have tons of nails, metal, tubes of caulk, aluminum cans, and other garbage buried in our yard. Communication during the building process has been a huge issue. When we pointed out poor workmanship throughout the process, we often got kickback or we felt we were a bother to the building supervisor. Our house is beautiful, but we constantly finding issues with poor workmanship and we get little or no response from building supervisor. After talking to neighbors that claimed to have the same issues we discovered we were often lied to (they fixed things at their house we were told nothing could be done vise versa)

I still haven’t moved into the home because I’ve spent my days cleaning a mess that shouldn’t be there. I was told that the blue tape items that we put in during the celebration meeting would be taken care of by the morning of the closing. I came on the morning and Jeff told me that the painter couldn’t get to it yet and told me to go close and come back and that it would be. I gave him my garage code, came back the following day to most of it completed still some not and a dirty house which I had to sweep up and clean myself.

From purchase leading to closing I felt it was a good experience. However, upon closing I felt the celebration was not a celebration as the home wasn’t fully ready. House was dusty, dirty, not cleaned, paint touch up needed and was not presentable for a ready move in. Upon moving in I did experience nails poking people’s feet around the carpet area, which I questioned the quality of work. Mixed bag of individuals throughout the process. Some parts went well: our construction site manager is responsive and cares about her work. Sales is typical: brash, not super helpful in reviewing *all* details, very “hands tied” approach. It felt more like a transaction than any partnership. TBD on exterior work and warranties. Talk a good game but I am a bit hesitant to believe it given neighborhood chatter. Overall this was okay. We were familiar with the builders as we built another house with them. Its unfortunate that any upgrade you get with them is still okay material quality. Specifically the carpet is poor (both low grade and high grade) and we were really disappointed with the cabinets. We went "top of the line" and our cabinets look pretty cheap. This sounds weird, especially with low interest rates but I'd recommend getting only structural options and then replacing cabinets, countertops, lights, flooring with higher end products. Several of the home owners in the development have had similar experiences of not feeling taken care of after the build is complete and you have closed. We have had several issues, some minor, and some larger, but haven't gotten good responsiveness to issues. There should be better communication and exceptions set with home owners as well. For instance, several of the home owners have reached out regarding large trucks driving too fast in the development, the response we've received is "we don't control the contract workers". Our brand new Pulte home experience

We recently purchased a brand new Pulte home, moved in less than 2 months back and our experience in last 1 month has not been good at all. We had a leakage in one of the pipes in mechanical room which took almost a week to get fixed, noticed cracks on the wooden floor in few sections, bathroom lock’s doesn’t work most of the times and the walls get scratched very easily. Overall the quality of materials used in building the home are really bad and we wish we knew this before buying our dream home!

Thought we were going to get a quality home and instead we got a used house that we've been fixing ever since we moved in.(it's new construction bit doesn't feel like it it) The construction manager Mike was NOT helpful at getting things resolved prior to us moving is even though he was informed of all the issues. DO NOT expect great things if you go with Pulte.

I had many issues still not resolved. My shower door has gaps that allow water to come outside of the shower. They gave me a rusted water heater. Tiles were chipped and grouting not completed. A screen door on the patio was never installed. Stove keeps going out. I think the experience would be better if these issues were resolved before we moved in.

Extremely disappointed in the quality of product and workmanship in my home. For the price I paid, the lack of care and concern by Pulte's subcontractors is very disturbing. I was told there are 2 walk-throughs completed by Pulte prior to my final walk-through. There was absolutely NO way this was done in my home. The materials used are cheap and the interior job overall is very sloppy. It hasn't been a full 2 months since moving in and there are already cracks everywhere around the windows and doors. The shower door also doesn't work and the tiles are cracking as well.

Disappointing experience. We were promised a home in Aug but got our home in October. Sales rep we dealt with was bad at communication. We felt rushed and we did not get what was promised.

Prioritize Next Dollar Over Completing Projects

Finished the house itself just fine but have prioritized finishing the sod for houses that don’t have anyone living in them before ours that has been done for over two months. Feels like they don’t care about you after you signed for the house even though they haven’t fulfilled the commitment.

Horrible experience with Brian, sales consultant. He withheld information and lied about it. When we raised concerns once we found out the truth, Megan (Brian’s manager) asked Brian about we reported and reported a response back from him which contradicted what he told us. Terrible mortgage team

Whatever you do, don’t use Pulte Mortgage. My loan advisor, who didn’t do any advising completely dropped the ball and I wasn’t able to lock into the terms that I signed up for. Brenden wasn’t apologetic nor helpful during any part of this process and neither was anyone else.

The details inside the house were not cleaned up. Trim is in terrible shape. The walls needed more painting as spots were missed. Whoever they sent out to fix the problems would just half work what needed to be done. For a $437k house, I dont feel like im getting my moneys worth.

AC leakage, power outlet not working

I moved in before three weeks and within three weeks I had issues to start with Garage door making noise , cabinets in kitchen were coming off from the holder ,big crack in the master suite counter top. Yesterday I turned my AC and it didnot work . AC tech has come and identified that there is a gas leak and AC won’t work unless they fix it. This means they need to cut open the entire home drywall to find out the location of leak and then re work . This is not definitely an exp a first time home buyer would expect. I would not recommend Pulte

Agent was not educated on PA content, nor had the ability to adjust PA to fit purchasers needs. Substance in the home is poor in quality and finishes that I feel should be improved. Response from construction manager was perfect. However he seemed to be limited to what could be corrected and improved on. Again, finishes by Pulte should be improved on so that new owners are not immediately putting thousands of dollars into finishing appropriately. Buying a brand new home should have been so much more enjoyable than Pulte made it. We love our new home, but it didn't come without various issues and hiccups. I understand the pandemic has impacted global supply chains, but leaving customers to source their own appliances after signing was not a great experience. Constructions delays due to lack of framing crews also caused us to close at a mortgage rate double than what we budgeted, and delays also caused us to miss the deadline for sod before the winter season.
