Jodi at the sales center knowledge of layout and options were lacking severely. Blaine the project manager was great and extremely easy to work with. Happy with the house just realizing lack of attention to detail in finished project.

The worksites are not clean and cannot believe that areas that I am finding glue and messy painting and we paid extra for site finishing and not sure we received what we paid for. I have nails sticking out of doors and dents in utility doors along with chips and cracks in our granite countertops. We cannot believe how much silicone that we are having to clean up in the bathrooms. Just not the quality we were expecting for the price that we paid. I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the house-it just did not feel like it was cleaned after the work was completed. The front entryway and garage were stained with footmarks and junk.

Our brand new Pulte home experience

We recently purchased a brand new Pulte home, moved in less than 2 months back and our experience in last 1 month has not been good at all. We had a leakage in one of the pipes in mechanical room which took almost a week to get fixed, noticed cracks on the wooden floor in few sections, bathroom lock’s doesn’t work most of the times and the walls get scratched very easily. Overall the quality of materials used in building the home are really bad and we wish we knew this before buying our dream home!

Will never buy Pulte again.

Thought we were going to get a quality home and instead we got a used house that we've been fixing ever since we moved in.(it's new construction bit doesn't feel like it it) The construction manager Mike was NOT helpful at getting things resolved prior to us moving is even though he was informed of all the issues. DO NOT expect great things if you go with Pulte.

I had many issues still not resolved. My shower door has gaps that allow water to come outside of the shower. They gave me a rusted water heater. Tiles were chipped and grouting not completed. A screen door on the patio was never installed. Stove keeps going out. I think the experience would be better if these issues were resolved before we moved in.

Extremely disappointed in the quality of product and workmanship in my home. For the price I paid, the lack of care and concern by Pulte's subcontractors is very disturbing. I was told there are 2 walk-throughs completed by Pulte prior to my final walk-through. There was absolutely NO way this was done in my home. And if so, then I guess shoddy workmanship is acceptable within your corporation. There are issues that I addressed long before closing that were not addressed and still haven't been addressed. The materials used are cheap and the interior job overall is very sloppy. It hasn't been a full 2 months since moving in and there are already cracks everywhere around the windows and doors. The shower door also doesn't work and the tiles are cracking as well.

Disappointing experience. We were promised a home in Aug but got our home in October. Sales rep we dealt with was bad at communication. We felt rushed and we did not get what was promised.

Prioritize Next Dollar Over Completing Projects

Finished the house itself just fine but have prioritized finishing the sod for houses that don’t have anyone living in them before ours that has been done for over two months. Feels like they don’t care about you after you signed for the house even though they haven’t fulfilled the commitment.

Horrible experience with Brian, sales consultant. He withheld information and lied about it. When we raised concerns once we found out the truth, Megan (Brian’s manager) asked Brian about we reported and reported a response back from him which contradicted what he told us. We went straight to Brian to clarify the inconsistency in what he told us verse what he told his Manager and were slapped with a harassment complaint and told we couldn’t meet with any employee of Pulte without prior approval a manager present and another person present. Terrible mortgage team

Whatever you do, don’t use Pulte Mortgage. My loan advisor, who didn’t do any advising completely dropped the ball and I wasn’t able to lock into the terms that I signed up for. Brenden wasn’t apologetic nor helpful during any part of this process and neither was anyone else.

The details inside the house were not cleaned up. Trim is in terrible shape. The walls needed more painting as spots were missed. Whoever they sent out to fix the problems would just half work what needed to be done. For a $437k house, I dont feel like im getting my moneys worth.

AC leakage, power outlet not working

I moved in before three weeks and within three weeks I had issues to start with Garage door making noise , cabinets in kitchen were coming off from the holder ,big crack in the master suite counter top. Yesterday I turned my AC and it didnot work . AC tech has come and identified that there is a gas leak and AC won’t work unless they fix it. This means they need to cut open the entire home drywall to find out the location of leak and then re work . This is not definitely an exp a first time home buyer would expect. I would not recommend Pulte

Agent was not educated on PA content, nor had the ability to adjust PA to fit purchasers needs. Substance in the home is poor in quality and finishes that I feel should be improved. Response from construction manager was perfect. However he seemed to be limited to what could be corrected and improved on. Again, finishes by Pulte should be improved on so that new owners are not immediately putting thousands of dollars into finishing appropriately. Buying a brand new home should have been so much more enjoyable than Pulte made it. We love our new home, but it didn't come without various issues and hiccups. I understand the pandemic has impacted global supply chains, but leaving customers to source their own appliances after signing was not a great experience. Constructions delays due to lack of framing crews also caused us to close at a mortgage rate double than what we budgeted, and delays also caused us to miss the deadline for sod before the winter season. Poor quality workmanship on high end group 4 kitchen cabinets. Very disappointed on wood work. You can notice many touchups and inconsistencies across the house. Caulk has cracks across. Today I noticed a major crack in the master bath vanity sink.

Hoping For Better

This was our first new build and it hasn’t been the easiest experience. We have been in the house almost two months and we are still waiting for items to be fixed. For the price we paid for our home, I would have expected the house be to be perfect and the highest quality - something it has not been. I feel as if once the house was bought, we have been forgotten about. Our neighbors are complaining about many of the same items as we are. We had expected issues to be fixed prior to closing and the same items have yet to be completed. I hope that Pulte will in the end fix our issues soon.

Poor communication from field manager

Communication from construction/field manager just has been really poor that I have to give a poor rating despite all other parts of the process being relatively positive. Initially provided dates are never right and promised dates have been broken too many times. I assure you that these problems are not supply chain related because items arrive on time. The problem is in giving incorrect information too many times over and over.

Field manager over-promised and under-delivered so many times

Would not do it over again given the chance and I think that's about sums up how I feel about the process and our new home with Pulte. We were made to feel bad when we brought up issues. We were treated as if we were wrong in many instances. Just terrible customer service for the money we paid.

We felt really good when we signed, but once building was started the work was rushed and we felt like we were nagging when we pointed out issues. Now that we're in the house we keep finding things that annoy us. Such as the slightest finger touching a wall will leave a mark because they used very cheap, flat paint.
