The experience was a pretty bad one overall. The building time took way to long, but given the shortage of workers and materials, this can be overlooked. When neighbors have to call you to tell you some of the framing is warped, cut to short in places, and 2×4s have way to much bark, therefor, making for a weak structure, that's pretty bad! On our walk thru, it seemed as though we were walking thru a used house. It was full of dust, throughout, lose grout, and smudged window panes, along with cabinets that were so full of dust, you couldn't possibly put your dishes or food away, the closets ...

While I absolutely love my home, I would say that the quality of the workmanship left much to be desired. I moved into a home that wasn't cleaned, that had a doorbell that wasn't functional, had missing door hinges, and splatters of paint on the tile floor that I am still trying to remove. I've also discovered that there are areas near two windows that lack texture and paint. On the exterior, things that I flagged during the walk through were not addressed. Purchasing a Pulte home has been a huge mistake. Pulte sold us a home that was not completed and a week after moving in the first floor flooded, not just once but twice. Pulte has no concept of customer service, unless their strategy is to ignore your concerns until you give up trying to get their assistance. All the issues we brought up prior to closing during the final walk through were completely disregarded and a month after closing have still gone unaddressed. What a huge disappointment!!

Pulte bites off more than they can chew, meaning they don’t have the time to dedicate to their customers. We’ve had multiple issues and reached out to pulte representatives, only to receive a generic response of “your concerns have been noted and will be addressed in the order they were received.” Very disheartened by the whole process.

Tradespeople were extremely sloppy in their work in all domains. I was not present for gliding or would not have closed given the issues we saw regarding bad tile work, scratched up cabinets. Fortunately, warranty service/customer care has been very responsive and helpful

The experience started out slow and stayed that way and continually progressed into problems making us realize that the slowness was due to incompetence on many levels.

Regrets buying Pulte

My house has an unknown water leak in the floor that Pulte is struggling to find the source. Investigation continues but based on a number of other quality issues I would never recommend a Pulte home.

Slow and Sloppy.

Poor workmanship - lots of sloppy work. Paint runs and spatters, cracks and chips in tile and quartz counter tops, kitchen cabinets and all doors (including glass shower doors and sliders misaligned. Trim was low cost and fairly rough for price. Door trim at front door is peeling away from frame. Responsiveness to problems was slow from the sales personnel to the construction managers.

Never Building With Pulte Again

This was our second time building with Pulte. The first time was seemless. This time it was a nightmare. Numerous lies were told by our first sales person, which led to multiple delays in our process. I always recommend Pulte to potential home builders, but now I definitely do not recommend Pulte.

Many items forgotten and/or missing. Poor quality finishes inside and outside. Unreasonable delays during the build process. Went through three field supervisors during the build process. I would not recommend Pulte Homes. They could have made it a quality experience, but the house just feels cheap.

The home appears to be in great shape; the problem is with the other factors that go into building a home from the ground up. The overall administrative function, the loan processing process, and delivery of the home was terrible. As I stated earlier, the house appears to be built solidly, but everything else was a COMPLETE mess.

Took 13 months to build

Took 13 months to build our house when it was supposed to be 5, maybe 6 months. Even then the house wasn't finished when they rushed us to closing. We had them come back twice for cleaning and they still couldn't get the floors mopped, grout off the tiles, construction adhesive and paint off the windows. 2 months later we are still waiting for punch list items to be completed. Pulte hasn't adopted their building practices, especially purchasing, to a COVID world. They just continually use the excuse "because of COVID". Just moved into my new house a month ago. Pulte was VERY motivated to get my house done for their quarterly numbers. They moved heaven and earth to get my house done be Dec 30th. The past few weeks though have been hard to get ahold of my contractor, issues are still outstanding, and I sometimes get a timely callback. It’s like once you sign they don’t really care too much. Walls are crooked that have to be fixed. Doors don’t align. Wind can be heard inside the house by the vent flaps. The outside of my house has stucco issues that aren’t fixed. This is the worst home buying experience I've ever had. Once we signed the contract, all communication stopped. No updates, no information on when the build would start, nothing. Once we moved in, we hired an independent inspector look at the house. He found issues with the roof, HVAC, and some other minor things. The roof is yet to be repaired. Low Quality with No Attention to Detail

Low quality with not attention to detail results in a subpar home. They do enough to “finish” the home, but every day I notice something new such (cracked and jagged tiles, crooked pulls, nicked hardware, dented cabinets, stained counters). Given these issues I do wonder about the things we can’t see. Requests for fixes result in a not covered under warranty/ not our responsibility response.

There's no communication between the superintendent and the sales side. Over and over again we were called about setting a closing date when the house wasn't even finished yet. It's 2 months after closing, and we still don't have a replacement garage door panel. This was documented that this still needed to be replaced after closing. We also had a plumbing leak recently, and no one told us when the plumbers would show up. They just showed up with no heads up.
