Building experience was excellent from start to the finish. Sales rep and project manager were professional, extremely knowledgeable and fun to work with. Mortgage experience was also great.

Buying with Pulte was a great decision! They kept me updated during the build, completed everything on time and beautifully, and made sure I was comfortable through the whole process. I cannot recommend Pulte enough.

It was easy making the purchase and I like the location in Wilmington …I’ve only had a few issues (nothing major) which I guess is normal with a new build. Been here a little over a month and I still find things that aren’t very satisfying but that’s my fault shoulda caught it during the Inspection.Overall happy with the fast responses from contractors when anything mechanical breaks down

The entire process was well planned and easy, we had our home built from out of state and had now concerns with communication and quality.

James my construction manager was very helpful and responsive to my questions or concerns. Elizabeth designer assistant was great. She was very patient and helpful in picking out my choices. Gayle was wonderful to deal with when I first purchased the home.

Overall, I love the modern style, fit and finish of the home, however, the detail work isn't up to par. While responsive and easy to work with, our construction Mgr could not fix all the wrongs. Surely this is an industry wide problem not just Pulte which is unfortunate.

The overall process with the sales agent, construction manager and financing was very good. The fit and finish was average. We are very particular about fit and finish so we maybe overcritical but with the cost of the home we would expect a higher quality. We would still recommend Pulte.

Wish we had more options for upgrades

We had a mixed experience building with Pulte. On the positive side, the neighborhood is great, the houses look nice, and the people we worked with (shout out to Jake, Ricky, and Leo!) were fantastic. Pulte's process is organized and they keep you in the loop, which we appreciated. A big piece of advice: hire your own inspector for the pre-drywall walk-through. We only hired one for the final inspection, and he found enough problems to make us feel like the job was rushed at the end. It leaves you wondering what might be hidden behind the walls. The biggest letdown was the design process. It's hard to believe a huge company like Pulte doesn't have software to show you a 3D rendering of your design choices. You're left guessing how it will all come together, which is unacceptable for a builder this size. The quality of the work was just so-so. We had to ask them to fix things like crooked columns, redo the paint on our doors and frames, touch up the kitchen and details on the shower are ugly to put it mildly (who completes grout-work with silicon???). You just want to enjoy your new home, not act as a quality control manager. The irrigation system is a disaster across the entire neighborhood, with widespread leaks, high water bills, and poor water pressure. Pulte is pretty good about reacting to issues, but we wish they were more proactive about preventing them. Our experience was acceptable, but it easily could have been so much better. ... More

The use of a plastic raceway attached to the wood with only one screw does not meet the standards I was taught. Especially with an open attic above it. Outlet Abs switch locations leave much to be desired. Landscaping is the biggest fail. No planting diagram is provided, but the irrigation system is a total fail. The controller supposedly is WiFi enabled but doesn’t work. Sprinklers are buried too deep or at angles. The sprinklers themselves use a special tool that isn’t provided ($0.40 cost in bulk) and worst, no education on how to maintain the sprinklers is offered

The house, the layout, and the option were tremendous and well thought out. However we were promised certain items to be finished and installed but almost 2 months after we are still waiting for those items. Additionally, during the build process, the communication was very good but after the signing it went to nearly non existent where I have to make office visits to find out any information.

The warranty department is naturally trying to get out of doing work that the trades should have handled. We have AC pipes installed too close to the foundation and it makes incredibly loud noise when the freyon cycles. It was raised during our final walk through but it couldn't be resolved at that time. I was left with the impression it could be resolved via a ticket and i am now fighting the good foght to get it foxed while my daughter is struggling to sleep in her room - shebnow sleeps with noise canceling in her ears. I did speak woth a pulte AC tech and he agreed it was too loud andtl they are actively fixing two other homes with the same issue. To make matter mildy worse we may be liable for a tree that was clearly struggling at the time of move in. I would love to give 4-5 stars across the board and want to recommend some of our friends to move here too, bit can't do so without the AC issue resolved. So, close to a ln incredible build ... More

We recently purchased a new home from Pulte Homes in Wilmington, NC, and overall, we’re pleased with our experience. Our salesman, Ken, was exceptional from start to finish, offering outstanding support and making the process enjoyable. Additionally, Kelsey played a crucial role in providing peace of mind throughout the loan process. Her assistance was invaluable and greatly appreciated. Overall the experience was not what we expected. The home took 3 months to start after we signed the contract. It turned out that Pulte didn’t even own the lot and work had to wait until they finalized the purchase of the land. In the end they delivered late by 5 weeks. So many items that we spotted on the final walkthrough should have been picked up during the build process by the construction managers.

The overall buying experience, while the house was under construction was, acceptable, however, a few days before the closing, during our final walk-through, we encountered issues with different items showing damage, for example, the Jack and Jill bathroom tub, it had a visible crack in the front, and our construction manager sent someone to patch it up, we requested to have a new tub installed, but our request was ignored. We do not want to have a tub that is patched up. We want a new tub, because we bought a brand new home! To date, we haven’t heard back from him after several messages, no intention to get back to us. Not a good experience, who likes to be ignored? He responded initially, that he tried to get access to the home, but the house was locked. After that we didn’t hear back from him anymore. We also reached out, because we got a letter from Cape fear water management that there were signs of a significant leak on the home, we were out of town at the time, so we reached out to him again, to see if he could send someone to inspect the property, but he did not respond to us at all! I would like if somebody could please get back to us and advise when the tub will be fixed, and also our kitchen ”hood”, as well as all the other touch ups that were not addressed. Thank you!
