Quality of work was not what I expected

In all fairness, we had a concern which was to have possession of the keys by a certain date, Pulte tried its best to relatively get the keys in our hands though not exactly the date expected but close. I expected Pulte to be more responsive to complaints that are being discovered after closing, it's actually a disappointment for me at the moment. I expected better quality work than what was delivered, being an experienced individual myself in the field of construction. Surprised by the upgrades during the process.

I am liking my space.

The staff I dealt with were great and quick to respond (Ashlea & Dylan). But the workmanship of the home was subpar. It seemed rush and sloppy in a lot of aspects, especially for the cost of the home

Our experience included a lot of ups and downs. We understand lack of craftsmen and loss of personnel had a lot to do with our experience. Responsiveness from our salesman after we signed the purchase agreement was pretty bad. We only received great response time when he needed something signed. Our new building manager and director were awesome, but there are still some items in our home that require attention. The garage isn’t finished, our floors squeak and creak worse than our old house that was over 50 yearly old. Holes were left in the walls, the carpet is unraveling, our stone isn’t complete on the front of the house, the ceiling fan in the master bedroom is a dud we can’t install a fan because the electrical components weren’t installed correctly with the build. We had a gas leak and a water leak due to the craftsmen rushing to complete the job. Our home wasn’t properly cleaned and some cabinet drawers are lopsided and the spacing for the cabinets isn’t consistent. We also have air coming in through the back door and the desk in the Pulte planning center is also lopsided. Construction went as planned, no delays.

Don't close until everything is done

We have been informed of weekly progress, updates and what is the coming up. What we have seen is the material used is great quality, the workman ship is Ok. There are small issues we informed and Denver has been great to work through to get them fixed in timely manner.

All models with small sandwiched furnace rooms beware of furnace noise issues.

Quality and value of home External wall insulation can have higher R value; Some degree of oversight from owner-to-be necessary due to occasional quality concerns of some trades; Average value due to high cost of most options 3. Experience with the builder’s team and responsiveness Superb responsiveness from construction manager at any and all times to address questions/issues 4. Final thoughts on builder Pulte builds a decent house, rating 3.5/5; Better control of subcontractor work quality and transferring additional cost savings of options from builder to home owner would make the product terrific. overall very happy with our home. Team has been responsive and building manager was great to work with

Anyone building with Pulte better hope they get a great supervisor as we did. He ensured the subcontractors build everything to plan, and most importantly the correct way.

I get it, Pulte is not a custom home builder but you are building new and the process of picking options was not smooth. Should use same checklist for everyone regardless of budget. Go over what’s included and what’s not. The materials for building the home were quality but the final fit and finish and what needed fixed was a hassle. Need to be more proactive to make sure everything is complete and up to standard without having the homeowner bring it to Pultes attention.

We love the house and the floor plan. We are not happy with the quality of work from some of the contractors but Pulte has been responsive to getting these issues resolved

Home took longer than expected

scratched windows holes in walls missed paint Really Really bad drywall.

Make sure everything is done before you close.

This is the second home we built with Pulte. The quality isn't the same and there were minor changes that impacted overall quality and value. Cabinets were made cheaply, front steps are no longer concrete but small TREX steps, porch is barely wide enough to walk, garage is ridiculously small and you need to pay extra to get a larger garage. My third row SUV BARELY fits! Cars are larger nowadays and families have bikes and cars, golf clubs, snow blowers, lawn mowers that need to fit in a typical garage and they don't! This is where the value for what we paid has gone down. Buyers need to be aware that standard options aren't suitable for most families, and you need to upgrade a lot to be comfortable. ... More

Overall ok. But no proper response for any issues.missed few things.

Working with Robb was great and he was very helpful throughout the whole building process. He took his time to explain everything to us along the way and was very responsive to questions and concerns. We love our new home. Our experience during the sales process was not good. Jessica was great and so was the salesperson we talked to from the Avon Lake community, but Tom was incredibly rude to us. We almost did not buy a Pulte home because of Tom, but decided to look past his horrible attitude because we wanted the quality of a Pulte home in Avon. While we were deciding if we wanted to buy we had a lot of questions as this was a huge financial decision for us, and he told us we were irritating him. He was sarcastic and short with us regularly and was not pleasant to work with. My guess is he didn’t think we were serious potential buyers, but regardless he was very rude. ... More

I would tell buyers to hold off on completing evaluations until after living in home for a few weeks. My issues were dismissed or deflected after title transfer.

Finished product is liveable, but not what we expected for the price. Selections were VERY limited. Communication with the construction crew was limited and at times nonresponsive. Post-closing communication has been much better - seems like the builder is very anxious to deliver what was promised.

Walls are very delicate. My Kitchen Grantee joints already started gaps.
