Overall an average experience. Pulte Finance was the worst. Chose not to use them at all.

We want to give this a higher rating but we just can't. Pulte tries hard to provide a quality home, and their floorplans are excellent, but the contractors just did such a poor job, which ruins the potential. Paint contractors had to come back out on MULTIPLE occasions and the quality of paint still to this day is amateur at best. The contractors installing trim did a bad job and still to this day there are peices of broken trim that was just painted over and never replaced. The ceiling has spots in it where the stamping was done incorrectly. These are just a few of the examples, it seemed like every contractor that came in to do their trade was rushing and did a poor job or damaged something else while they were here and it wouldn't get fixed for a long time. All that being said, we still do love our home, we are just a little disappointed in the quality of worksmanship and the fact we're going to have to spend our own time over the years fixing things that should have been done right the first time. At the time our home was being built, there were MANY other homes being built in the neighborhood and the crews were rushed, no doubt, and the construction manager had way more jobs on his plate than he should have had, and to my understanding they have limited the number of houses being built to make up for this, so you may want to take that into consideration. Just know if you choose Pulte, you will need to keep a close eye on the construction of your home and be a pest to the construction manager to try to get things done right. Once I closed on my home many issues have been ignored. Front porch has large cracks, never heard about my driveway and grass installation. I had to pay to have my garage insulated and drywalled. After 2 months I have not received my trash receptacles. A little disappointed after purchasing a home for over $400,000

Very poor fit/finish and responsiveness

Not actually very good exoerience.

Overall the house is great but if there is an issue Pulte is incredibly difficult to deal with and get a timely response. Also, they knew about a leak in our house before we closed and did not correct it, so my trust in them is diminished.

We were initially very excited to work with Pulte to build our home, but quickly saw that what matters most is not customer satisfaction, but the bottom line for Pulte. I understand that Pulte a business and profits are a part of that, but as the build progressed I was shocked by consistently shoddy workmanship. For example, we had multiple crooked walls that weren’t fixed on their own even though they were visibly crooked. We had to insist they be fixed. Some contractors used were dishonest about mistakes they made that had to be fixed later, and the contractors were trusted over us by Pulte despite us having photo evidence of the issues. Issues in our flooring that were bright up early on (gaps in the wood that weren’t filled, which we can feel through the padding and carpet now) and gaps in the wall that we were assured would be fixed properly were not and have affected the aesthetics and comfort of our home. They tried to rush our closing even though the house was not ready. The finishes that needed to be fixed before we would agree to close were thrown together and poorly done. No house is perfect, but I was genuinely surprised by the poor quality of work overall. Now that we are in our home we see a major lack of attention to detail. Paint on flooring, trim and carpet. Adhesive in various places on flooring. Vinyl floor has an obvious slit that just had glue applied over that area. Caulk drips that won’t come off. Water damaged door. There is a lack of care for the new finishes in our home. A response to theses issues has been non existent so far.

The sales people are great,design team does great job, building process could be better,in spite of waiting close to 9 months from giving deposit at closing time there are deficits in work and finish quality, once Pulte receives money at closing responsiveness of all vendors in correcting deficits before closing date takes back seat because they are so busy doing work on new homes , I guess Pulte got the money from you so where are you going to go.

Don't be so excited to close, that you overlook items in your home that should be fixed, installed, or completed with the the highest quality before closing. Also if your gut tells you something should not be a certain way don't be afraid to question it and then follow up on it.

The sales people were great! ! Seems like Pulte was doing the bare minimum to close on the house and promising to fix items that were missed. If you didn’t catch any problem on the walk through, they say it’s not covered. The quality of the finish work on walls and woodwork are not good. No accountability!

Use your own financing, not Pulte. They want you to close before everything is completed. Have someone experienced do your punch-out and don’t close before everything meets your expectations.

despair it and replace. it this makes the third time they have been here. two tones of brushed nickel. on shower glass frame. out of fairness they have a great process but it currently broke with the issues they currrently have with subcontractors and vendors.

We are a first time home buyers. We have zero knowledge on the upgrades and options. It would have been helpful if sales could have told about the major selling upgrades we would have gone with them. We miss a few now which we regret to not have them. Second, I felt Pulte is not fair to all home owners. They finished the garage of almost every home owner missing a couple and when asked about it they gave some crappy answers. I know about 8-10 people who didn’t go with an option of finished garage and they still got them. It was unfair. What I learned working with construction manager is, you should visit your construction site often, take notes every week and send to him and not go easy on him. If you go easy, you are gonna lose a lot of things and always keep everything in email (writing). And ask only before you close and not after because you will see the difference in their responses once they close. ... More

Pulte is not a custom builder. It’s quantity, not quality. There is an obvious lack of pride in workmanship amongst the trades and not much accountability from Pulte.

The buying process was easy, the finance piece was easy and the people were great. However, once I moved in, I found multiple things broken or just poor (cheap) quality. I was so disappointed to move into a brand new home and find so many things that needed (and still need) to be fixed (inside and out). I've built with 4 other builders and lived in several other homes and this is the worst built home I've ever lived in (floor plan is great but everything feels so cheap). I could go on and on but I'll simply finish by saying I'm so very disappointed!!!

My wife and I really enjoyed the design and build process, our sales representative and project manager were thorough and transparent. Just wish the final product would have been as perfect as the rest of the process. We have been in our house 2 months and so far we have had minor water intrusion in our basement, our AC went out, we are having minor electrical issues, and there are multiple cracks in our basement walls. To make matters worse, we have come to expect less than caring, some might say passive aggressive responses after emailing customer service with these issues.

We moved in at the end of March...several items need fixed and we can hear in our kitchen everytime someone flushes the toilet upstairs..No insulation.. in walls...Kitchen cabinets doors are uneven...and I have big hole in my back yard and they keep putting dirt down for people who house was built after mine..Feel like since closing I don't matter.

Timely delivered but not happy with the quality of the material and lot of hidden things that weren’t explained during booking of home. On top of that, if we need to avail any service from the vendor, their charge is too high. Somehow I feel I paid much more and received the low quality home.

The sales experience went exceptionally well. My sales person was extremely responsive and follow through was fabulous. My issues all arise from the work of the vendors as detailed work was not completed at final pre-closing walk through nor has it been followed up as promised post closing. I am beyond frustrated and so disappointed.

While designing our new home, everything has to be in the STANDARD choices, regardless of custom’s needs (health and safety issues)! After closing, all issues that I reach out to the customer service were pushed away to 3rd parties, none was resolved by the customer care department! We have spent more time and money to fix issues that they won’t help! I’m so disappointed!

At this time I regret buying my Pulte Home. Way too many service issues, and poor response to those issues.

Im having multiple issues with drywall, lighting, and the dryer not being installed properly. No sod has been a nightmare especially with a dog. The construction workers leave trash that blows all over the neighborhood. The blacktop on the driveway is crumbling.

First the walls are so thin that you can hear any conversation from one room to the other with the doors closed. Second, the finishing touches are simply the worst. Third, a large amount of things have to be redone, it never ends. After living at the house for some time now things are still trying to be corrected.

I understand in this economic climate there's a lot of "hurry up and wait" with subcontractors. A week before close you look at the house and think certainly it won't be ready. They then rush to close because they have to meet their month-end quotas. Two days before close we do a walkthrough ("Build Quality Celebration") and point out a lot of cosmetic, attention to detail issues. You then don't get another opportunity to inspect the house. I close and it turns out a number of walk-through items weren't completed, such as a missing outlet cover, trash in the garage, trim separating from the wall and doors not flush. After a week of no response after requesting "Customer Service," the initial response is these should have been addressed at walk-through, anything post-close is a "maintenance issue" and "wait a year for the house to settle." In addition to missed walk-through items, almost immediately I start discovering stuff like a wall of outlets not working (wiring issue), two doors not flush and lifting off their hinges, and a bathroom drawer collapsed because the back of the track was never secured to the cabinet. I'm told those aren't structural. But minor things really make you start to question major things. They blame the subs, say they use the same subs as other builders, say this is common to all new homes...yet these are all things that would have been caught if their construction supervisor had come in after the subs and inspected the work. It makes you question what quality assurance processes are in place. The starting place never seems to be resolution but the knee-jerk reaction seems to consistently be to throw the contract legalese back at you...which is effort that would be better directed in addressing the issue.
