This is my first time owning a home. The house is big but it’s made as cheaply as possible, super sloppy work. The floor is what’s called a floating floor, so you have your little kids running around or you walk around, the entire floor shakes, kitchen silverware rattles. No attention to details, you will have crooked walls, some spaced are bigger than others and not symmetrical.

Great subs. Proficient and fast. Home built before projected time line. They are there for you even after ownership. Great person relations from the entire company.

Quick, smooth and easy trough the whole process

I don't recall any positive moments throughout the process. Quality questions/concerns were flat or ignored throughout the process, to say communication was poor would be an understatement, having to push closing because of multiple instances of negligence by construction teams, replaced damaged grass with dead grass after rutting up front yard fixing the damaged driveway, and no walk through with anyone except the completely incompetent and rude construction foreman who couldn't answer a single question just finished it off.

Few minor issues, staff was great and timely took care of the minor issues immediately.

We’ve built several custom homes and we were a little concerned about building with a national builder. From starting with Madison, to building with Garrett and David, and financing with Pulte Mortgage…the whole experience was terrific!

Our experience with the sales team was great. Wendy was very attentive, answered all our questions and helped us every step of the way. Build was on schedule and we were able to stay on top of the progress thanks to the construction manager's communication with us. Our issues have come from the subcontractors not being properly monitored to make sure the work was consistent and of high quality. Having this many houses being built and finished at one time probably put some unnecessary stress on the subcontractors. Although the warranty team has been responsive to our requests, there seem to be a lot of issues that never should have slipped through to begin with. We're happy with the house, but a lot of the finish work I could have done better myself, and I was a desk jockey during my career. ... More

I can list a few, but just telling couple of things I noticed which are not up to Pulte standard. I am not satisfied with Pulte did my garage. The sidings are tucked in properly

I liked that Nick kept us informed on the progress of our home from the start: laying foundations all the way to handing of the keys.

Cannot reccomend Pulte homes enough, from start to finish the process was world class and we LOVE our new home!!!!

Jay was a great salesperson. We wanted a home in the Haven series, but no lots were available for them anymore. We ended up getting the Caden from the Ember series. Andy was okay as a construction manager. He started off strong by emailing us at the beginning of the building process, but then he ceased to email us weekly or biweekly with pictures of the updated construction. Andy then gave us a closing date, but the night before we were to close, we found out that the Certificate of Occupancy was never completed. When we tried to reach Andy, he went on a week-long cruise. Andy never filed for Certificate of Occupancy or checked if it was completed. We were given two closing dates, and each time, the Certificate of Occupancy still wasn't completed. We finally closed on our home on the third closing date. Once we moved on, we then experienced a theft from the construction workers who were still building the house next to us. The construction workers STOLE our garden hose that was connected to our outside faucet. All Everbe/Pulte gave us was a sign that said private residence after we called them about the incident. A few weeks later, our other next-door neighbor had their home broken into. The burglar kicked the door open and went directly to their attic to perhaps grab some items left behind during the construction of their house. How pathetic. So many constructions happening in the neighborhood and the construction workers are committing petty crimes, making us feel unsafe in this new neighborhood at times. ... More

I have had multiple issues since moving in that should have been prevented. The internet company had to pull all new wire throughout the house because the cabling built into the house did not work. I’ve had an appliance guy come out became the dishwasher water supply was not working and once that worked the dishwasher did not drain. Most recently there is no cold water in the guest shower because the pipe is allegedly filled with glue and blocking the cold water supply. These issues require me to take additional time off of work and should have been tested and discovered at the time of install. It makes the question the quality of workmanship in my brand new home. ... More

We chose to build with Pulte because of the quality they promised. We loved working with our sales rep but our construction manager not only didn’t know what was going on, but flat out lied to us a number of times. We are two months in and still having to deal with warranty because of lazy craftsmanship. Most of our issues with the quality are cosmetic, yes, but every where you turn in the house has issues, the base boards, the paint, the door hardware, scratches on the cabinets (the most expensive cabinets they offer), countertops, toilets don’t flush, the list goes on and on. As the trades have been coming in to make repairs, we’ve also noticed how even the rework is subpar. There is no quality or care with the trades Pulte hires. All of this just becomes exaggerated when it’s extremely difficult to get a hold of warranty and we’re told it’s due to the massive backlog. We’re clearly not the only ones with all these issues. ... Responsive staff, and overall positive experience with this group.

We were moving from out of state so just really felt like we were forgotten or intentionally pushed to the side because of that. We had delay on top of delay, which we understand happens in construction and wasn’t 100% Pulte’s fault, but they way they handled it left us feeling very discouraged and nervous. We had a really poor experience with our sales guy who called us every day before putting the earnest money down and then rarely heard from unless prompted by us during the building process. Our construction manager was great and super friendly! We still had a few issues that never got resolved but she was prompt in responding and helped us feel like at least she cared. Long story short, closing got pushed back so far we had to start our jobs here so we’re in hotels and moldy airbnbs, and even that didn’t seem like it mattered to get the job done well/right. For our first walkthrough, the house was a MESS. It still very much looked like a construction zone with mud everywhere, chips, missing paint, bricks in the yard, etc. No one seemed to care or take accountability and kept saying “oh, I can’t do anything for you, you need to call ___.” So we would but just kept going in circles. Even if nothing could be done, some communication could solve a lot of our realest feelings. Someone could easily say, “unfortunately we have a policy that doesn’t allow us to do that, but let’s see what we can do to get us in a spot where you feel comfortable.” Instead, we left the closing table crying instead of rejoicing in buying our very first home! Since moving in, the house had been fine. The warranty team seems great and hoping they can really help us with all of the issues we are still having. We felt like our house was forgotten and then thrown together and it still does a bit but they’ve really tried to help us as much as they can at this point. Don’t know if I would buy from Pulte again but we don’t regret this purchase and hope we are an anomaly to the process. ... More

Process smooth work with all departments handle us as individuals

A lot of construction issues we found after the closing. We are not satisfied with the purchase.

Overall the experience was great, however there was a massive misunderstanding and poor application with the kitchen backsplash. One pattern issue was resolved, but we still have various grout line sizes across the backsplash because it would have been too expensive to fix and it was within the “margin of error.” Just have your contractors use spacers. They did in the shower.. Also I called the Sherwin Williams that was highlighted by the builder. Not as in touch with our colors as it was described.

Known issue with ovens should have been fixed before closing. Many manuals left with my unit were for installation and not consumer use. Final walk through was too quick to absorb all the information. If any walk in closet is through a bathroom walk in closet should have an AC vent. Base trim corners are all have an unprofessional looking cut. Island wall that would house stools should have been painted “gloss” . Naturally, sitting at the island, shoe markings will happens.

For the most part the workmanship and responsiveness to issues has been pretty good. Seems like the materials used could be a higher grade, like the mirrors, faucets and towel bars. Be sure to be careful as to what lot and model you and both of your neighbors choose. In Fishers at the Remington we have our neighbor with a large open covered patio on the northwest corner of their house and our master bedroom is on the southwest corner of our house. So any noise comes straight to our bedroom. Also, the top soil was removed before the houses were built so the yard is nothing but rocks of all sizes, concrete, metal and all kinds of building items. It is nearly impossible to get anything but weeds to grow along the side and back of the house. This was a farm previously so the soil should have been excellent. There was also a mix up on the water softener/reverse osmosis system. I take half the blame because I didn't notice it on the specs but no house should be built in Indiana and not have a water softener or at least the hookup for one. We wouldn't want a reverse osmosis system with a farmhouse sink. The cleaning crew could have done a much better job throughout the house. The floor guy had to come back out because of some spots in various places in the house. He ended up using acetone to remove them. I had to go around every inch of the carpet along the hard woods with a hammer and mash down the spikes. We love the location, the three car garage, the spacious family/kitchen/dining room, the covered patio, the large master closets and the walk-in shower. ... More

APPLIANCES ARE ALOT TO BE DESIRED. OVEN DIDN'T WORK. DRYER HAS AN ISSUE WITH THE DOOR. SHOWER DOOR IS VERY FLIMSY.
