I was truly disappointed throughout the entire process. All of my family has built Pulte homes and have raved about how on top of things they are and how much they care for their customers. I had the complete opposite happen to me. They were rarely responsive, did not listen to any of my concerns which ended up delaying my closing, and many things still are not complete and or were not hooked up after the closing. Overall, I wish I could have said it was an amazing experience, especially being a first time home buyer. But that was just not the case.

We recently purchased a new home from Pulte Homes in Wilmington, NC, and overall, we’re pleased with our experience. Our salesman, Ken, was exceptional from start to finish, offering outstanding support and making the process enjoyable. Additionally, Kelsey played a crucial role in providing peace of mind throughout the loan process. Her assistance was invaluable and greatly appreciated. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with the entire process with Pulte. The home was built in poor condition. I had to submit many warranty claims. They are responsive but considering i have only been in my house a month its horrible. At closing i was given keys that didn't work. I couldn't sleep in my room for the first week due to issues that weren't taken care of. Overall if you decide to go with Pulte please inspect and follow through. If i had to do it again i would not purchase with Pulte.

Having a construction contractor coming to install fans, cameras, lights and other things and listen to his comments on how well the construction was done, how the space was distributed, and how so many other details were thought of, bring a sense of satisfaction.

I absolutely love my home! Being a first time home buyer, there is so much being thrown at you. I do not have anyone close who was able to help me navigate so I was relying on self, and the builder. Honestly the whole process with Pulte was so easy, from the sale portion, lending, insurance, construction, etc. I really do mean everything! Got an absolutely fantastic rate as well! You can't go wrong with Pulte!

Time limits were unrealistic due to the timeframes needed to process the loan. Many enails were unanswered.

My wife and I were initially very excited to buy from Pulte, as on the surface, it looked like a great operation and a great value. Now that we have been Pulte homeowners for two months, that has changed to dread. We found that it was necessary to constantly complain about every little detail to have any hope of quality in the home. The painting and drywalling is atrocious, and we are on our 3rd round of repairs/paint on that. The grout work for the tile is filled with holes. When we moved in, the movers couldn't believe it was a new house because they were finding so many defects in walls/floors/doors on their house survey BEFORE moving anything inside. We had to have our floors professionally cleaned prior to moving in because they were unable to remove all the dirt/mud they had brought inside on their boots. As for appliances, they installed a dented microwave and a broken oven (door was bent). Nothing was leveled (doors, fixtures, wall switches). They refuse to properly protect the house from water runoff. The gutters essentially dig holes at the side of the house, and despite listing this issue prior to closing, they simply filled in the hole and then said it was not part of their warranty. Overall, I wish I had used a different builder as I feel like my brand-new house was not built well and the interior certainly doesn't feel new with all the paint, trim, and drywall defects. ... Before you move in everyone seems very attentive. Of course all they are constantly asking you to do is give them a high score on the survey. Once you take ownership good luck getting any assistance with issues. I've been in my house 5 weeks and still have blue tape on walls for problems that have yet to be corrected. Text messages go unanswered. Scheduled repairs are no showed leaving me at home all day wasting my time. Master bath shower leaks water all over the floor. This is a known problem that they acknowledge that can be fixed. My question is why aren't you building it right the first time? I really don't want to sound like a complainer. Overall we do like our new home but for the money we have spent these things are frustrating. If you want perfect surveys you need to earn them not just ask for them. ... More

Had no luck whatsoever with the Construction Manager. As far as the house goes - pain dealing with Developer Controlled Architectural Committee for simple approval. Paid extra for a tiled shower and Pulte didn't even include a soap/shampoo alcove.

Warranty sucks been two weeks nothing. No email, phone call or phone call. Oh they did call to tell me plants are not cover.

Pulte gives you alot of home for the money. The process was well-defined and delivered as promised.

Pulte dissapointed us. We have found so many things that needed to be fixed that is so terrible. Even my fridge was scratched and something didn’t look good inside, but they didn’t take responsibility for it. I needed to contact the appliance company so they can take care of it. We thought Pulte was a more quality builder but we were wrong. Even my garage was built with broken concrete blocks. I don’t recommend this builder. Good thing they repair everything that we had pointed to them.

From purchase to close we had a personal bumpy road with hospitalizations and other health issues. Our team Tim and Andrew made sure through it all that we were kept in the loop and constantly updated with biweekly pictures and videos of the progression. Pulte should be proud knowing that they are on there team. We cannot say enough about them.

Everybody was great, especially our construction manager Nate C. House was done on time and quality is excellent. This was our 4th new home experience and the only one I would call an enjoyable experience. These guys are real pro’s.

The home is well built and Pulte did everything in a professional and timely manner

We had one issue after another with our build. We would tell CM something was not correct, their response was on it but it never got changed until we demanded it. Towel bars are not hung straight, don't match on both sides of the sink. Take lots of pictures at your design appointment. Make sure you have correct samples of what you are picking for everything. Get exact names of products, ask the designer is this an accurate sample of what will be installed. If you build with Pulte, I would not do any upgrades with them. They do poor work. Have them build the house, save your money and higher professionals that take pride in their work and do it correctly the first time NOT the fourth. We were so unhappy with our home we put it on the market for the first 15 days after closing hoping someone would buy it. ... More

Problem with installed materials and manner in which the grass was played down.

The building took as long as they said it would everything was explained to me on my walk though about the house Its a beautiful house and I am very happy here

I cannot say enough about the home buying experience I had with Pulte Homes at Riverlights. My family and I were going through a very difficult transition at the time. The Pulte team treated my children and I like we were a part of their family. They went above and beyond to help us secure this beautiful, well built home in a fabulous neighborhood. We are so grateful for their kindness and diligence in seeing this through to the end of closing. We are so happy with our new home. Pulte does a great job on the sales portion of the home. Their mortgage side needs some help in the communication department. We requested a short closing ( approximately 30 days). The constructions managers who handle their walk through's and punch lists, are less than to be desired.(Promised to fix things and we were "given their word that these items would be taken care of" only to find out that the want to wash their hands of you as soon as you sign all of your documents. Great buying experience, ok financing, poor construction management and trade selections.

Everyone involved at Pulte was very nice, I felt like they wanted to help me, I know they want to sell but not everyone cares about what happens after the sale. In the end I was very happy with the whole experience and my house, the only part where I felt very pressured was the pre-inspection, when you check that everything was finished, we didn't do that inspection but luckily they did a very good job, I was worried but in the end I'm happy. Another thing is that every member of the team is very knowledgeable and have a lot of experience.Thank Pulte.

Ron is an amazing contractor, he listened to all our concerns and make sure all our issues are addressed. Not only that initial briefing he was very particular in area which need attention. His experience and expertise is quite visible during his interactions with us. We would also like to thank James who supported us in financing

Overall it was a bad experience. The quality of workmanship is not up to the mark as I see several issues including the hot water which was not coming after I moved in and later found out that the coils are completely burnt out. How come this is possible for a new house and I strongly believe that it is a sheer negligence. They must have run the heater without water. The pre drywall and final inspection revealed some issues and not all of them fixed. The most disappointing was the wooden flooring sheets on the second floor started to lift out since it is just a month showing the poor quality of workman ship. There are couple sheets on the first and second floor with chips. Another one which made us to lose the trust is that before final inspection, we marked several places on all there floors where painting and smoothing needs to be done and we marked those spots in presence of the construction manager using the blue tape. There was more than a week time but to our surprise, all the blue tapes were removed but nothing has been done including the cleaning. I don’t know what to call this……. How can we trust as the blue tapes were removed and nothing (not even a single point) was done (either painting and smoothing) causing us the home openers to lose the trust on the workmanship. I would say 70 % of the issues were fixed after repeated requests. I am disappointed that the some of the important issues raised during final inspections were not yet fixed. I have already raised my issues to Pulte customer care and someone is coming to inspect this Wednesday the 11th of September and let’s see how Pulte is going to deal and fix the issues. We actually thought of very high about Pulte but the quality of construction and workmanship is not up to the mark.
