We were very excited to buy a new home from Pulte, but unfortunatelly our experience has not been very pleasant. We had a defective range that leaked gas the first time we cooked. In fact, the range had been fixed for a different defect prior to our close. It has been a lenghty and exhausting process to finally get to the point where it will be replaced. We are waiting for it to arrive. There were multiple little issues with drywall, cabinets, paint, fireplace, chipped lighting fixtures etc. Most have been resolved, but it's quite disappointing to see these things were missed or considered ...

This was the worst home buying experience i have ever had!

while we do like our new house there were and still are many frustrations. They still have not finished fixing what they said they were going to and we bought out house a month ago. Several financial items were misrepresented

Some issues. Several times we were given financial numbers that were not accurate. Estimated monthly Mortgage numbers were misrepresented (low balled) and our $160 HOA fees became $190 in less than a monthl (with no notification). It has been almost a month and several of our issues with the house’s construction still remain outstanding. Proffered repair timelines have not been met and we are still uncertain as to operating policies that govern the community. How many times we were lied to by the project folks.

It was terrible and we are still going through it. We were forced to close before the house was completed. We’ve been living here for over 1 month and things are still not done. It is a nightmare that we can’t wake up from. We still cannot access the Pulte Home site. There’s no technology support. It’s ridiculous for a publicly traded company. It’s shameful.

Bad craftsmanship & over priced upgrades

The upgrades are minimal for the price you pay. The Team clearly is interested in volume over quality. Have already had multiple service calls for tons of minor things. They have been resolved but just a hassle. Also have a major drainage issue on both sides of my property as well as both sides of my neighbors do as well. Common issue in the community however they are laying down drainage is terrible.

Quality and focus on details. STAY AWAY FROM PULTE MORTGAGE!

Overall quality of material is cheap. Sub contractors do very minimal to pass. Paint overspray on new LVP floor. Scuffs on new LVP floor. Paint on outlet covers. Hard chunks of plaster under carpeting. Finish on garage floor poor quality. New home we has to spend a month cleaning due to above issues. I can see the joint lines on my ceiling. Pulte Mortgage...worst experience EVER and we have built 6 new homes over the years. JOB site supervisors...EXCELLENT, great to work with!!!!

The selling agent ignored my messages and entered my email address in wrong so I wasn't getting any updates on my build, it was very stressful. Now after I officially purchased the house, the "customer care" person assigned to me is rude and they're ignoring my requests to be assigned the someone else. After they get their hands on your money, they just stop caring.

Inconsistency and lack of information.

Cheap materials. Cheapest paint money can buy. Will have to repaint right away. Messy workmanship. Closed in April and 2 months later they still haven’t put our grass and sod in. Several homes here have waited 6 months for their grass& sod. Pulte’s answer to this is: we don’t know... meanwhile our mud has washed down driveways and stained them and sidewalks. Yards are washing out. Poor!

Overall home is wonderful. Where they fall short - is the attention to detail due to the number of homes they build. For EG: Our home - has uneven floors, misaligned cabinet, cleaning of the home when handover was poor (windows, floors etc), Trees leaning outside and much much more

There's no communication between the superintendent and the sales side. Over and over again we were called about setting a closing date when the house wasn't even finished yet. It's 2 months after closing, and we still don't have a replacement garage door panel. This was documented that this still needed to be replaced after closing. We also had a plumbing leak recently, and no one told us when the plumbers would show up. They just showed up with no heads up. This is our first home purchase and the experience left deep scars. Pulte delivered us an unfinished house that still is not complete 45 days post closing. We had to follow up more than what we felt was acceptable throughout the build process to ensure quality standards were being met. Communication was poor throughout the build and continues post closing as we try to get our house completed.

We were impressed with the design and spec of the house and decided to go with Pulte vs. other builders during the pandemic. Once we sat down, we recognized several red flags but went ahead because we needed a place. The first one was the premium for the lot. We are 75 days into the ownership of our new home and while we love the house, it has been a horrible experience in getting the remaining items finished on our property. We have no schedule, work done incorrectly identified by us and not Pulte because the Field Manager did not monitor or QC, no communication from the Field Manager, and workers showing up unannounced. When we have brought this up to the Field Manager, we have been told that they can't "control the trades" and that they were unaware of them coming out to do work. Sloppy workmanship. No attention paid to details. Paint slopped on tile floors. Electrical problems. Plumbing problems. Left us with a back yard that is so steep you can’t walk safely and probably no option for us to have a normal fenced back yard.
