Bobby is the best!

From the initial purchase of the Pulte Home, to the seamless experience of watching it being built, to taking ownership, Pulte made it the best home buying experience of my life. My only regret is I wish I knew what a great home builder Pulte was earlier in my life. Thank you Pulte for making my retirement home a memorable life event.

I was quite pleased with my home. The overall building process was smooth and transparent. Like most new homeowners I do worry about how quickly additional homes will be added to the community and if I overpaid with the current trends of the market. I do recommend taking the walk through with your project manager seriously and noting ALL problems prior to close. Unfortunately, they chose a horrible and unresponsive AC contractor. They have missed appointments, ignored calls and at times been downright rude. They also installed the AC improperly. Pulte is quite responsive but outside of calling the contractor there is really nothing more that they can do. ... More

There’s to many issues to deal with for a house supposed to be new. I’m still waiting for a fix of my 30 days warranty claim. No follow up. Last email I sent before holidays hasn’t been respond yet.

Quality of workmanship is not what I would expect for a half million dollar home. Most of the work seems to be subcontracted out. Their response to issues have been extremely slow.

Salesperson (Adam) was very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to work with, as were construction supervisors. Great house! Very happy with whole home-buying experience.

My field manager stayed engaged with me through the whole process. I’m very satisfied with how the home turned out and the warranty process has so far been well streamlined.

It’s taken quite a while to get my warranty issues resolved and it’s difficult to get return calls. I have requested 3 warranty issues be resolved in mid November and only one has been fixed.

I have purchased 5 brand new homes over the past 30 years. Lots of experience with various builders. THIS IS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH PULTE AND IT WILL BE MY LAST. I'LL SEE TO IT THAT MY VOICE IS HEARD TO INFLUENCE OTHERS AGAINST PURCHASING A PULTE HOME. See below for the details. My Pulte home has THE WORST initial build quality I have ever experienced amongst the 5 different builders from whom I purchased 5 brand new homes over the last 30 years. The build crew either is inexperienced or simply does not care about doing a quality job. I paid extra for upgraded interior trim packages (in the foyer, whole house and also the window stool & 4 side casing). The upgrades include baseboard moldings, moldings around all door openings and all windows. I also paid extra for the modern style wainscoting in the foyer. The crew installed incorrect wainscoting and they had to redo the job. In so doing, they damaged drywall and one of the moldings. The redo quality was so poor, the field manager had to get another team in to fix the redo performed by the first team. So, the job was performed 3 times! In regard to the upgraded interior trim package around all door openings and windows: the trim was installed but the paint job was ATROCIOUS - ABSOLUTELY HIDEOUS!!! The paint application on EVERY molding throughout the house was applied so thick that large globs and streaks of paint ran down the surface of the moldings and / or there was very heavy "orange peel" glaringly evident in the paint applied to the moldings. This quality issue was left by the crew, remained as is and left to dry. It took my effort to point this out to the onsite team and ask for it to be redone. The paint issue fix was attempted by reapplying the paint prior to my closing date. It looks better than the initial job but still is sub-par from a quality appearance. The moldings should have been removed and replaced with new moldings that would have a smooth surface on which paint could be properly applied. The drywall quality is also the worst I have ever seen in a newly constructed home. Several issues that I identified were fixed prior to closing but there are still about a half-dozen glaringly obvious "mistakes" that have been poorly addressed and are not resolved. I understand that dry wall issues will be addressed at the 1 year mark, but DO THE JOB RIGHT THE FIRST TIME and you won't need to come back!!!! Another issue I have is regarding the upgraded Kitchenaide vent hood that resides over the optional kitchen cook top. The hood was installed with 2 dents on the outboard-facing surface (facing the user at eye level). Strike 1. The onsite team removed a hood from another home in the neighborhood and installed it in my home to replace the damaged hood. They took a non-Kitchenaide model and replaced my upgraded Kitchenaide vent hood with this standard, non upgraded model. Strike 2. Next, the team ordered a Kitchenaide brand vent hood to replace the incorrect hood. When this vent hood was removed from the box by the installation team at my home, it was badly dented and damaged out of the box worse than the initial vent hood. Strike 3. You also need to know that during this entire time the stainless steel chimney that covers the wiring was never installed because the onsite team was holding off to install it after the new vent hood installation. So, another vent hood was ordered (number 4). It arrived undamaged and was installed after closing day. At that time, the stainless steel chimney was installed to cover up the wiring that goes up into the ceiling. The chimney that was installed was damaged / dented at installation. This transpired within the first 30 days after closing. I reported this issue with the dented chimney on my 30-day punch list. Pulte sent a service company out to my home to retrieve the dented chimney. Well, neither Pulte nor the service company had the courtesy to inform me about that service call. I came home to find a note on my door referring to the service call. To add fuel to the fire, they came the day after the 30-day period. So, I called the telephone number on the notice to have it rescheduled. The company would not come out. I contacted the local Pulte warranty customer rep. She referred me to Pulte/Whirlpool customer service to address the issue. HA!! When I spoke with a representative at Pulte/Whirlpool customer service, I was informed they would not replace the chimney because it was after the 30-day period. FOUL ON THE PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pulte attempted to fix this issue but PULTE has DROPPED THE BALL!! My experience as noted above has proved that Pulte has no integrity and does not stand behind their so-called quality mantra. This is not an inexpensive home. The cost is well over $400,000. If you care about the customer (ME), please contact me so we can move forward to get these issues addressed, especially the dent in the hood vent chimney. Until then, I STRONGLY ADVISE EVERYONE CONSIDERING A PULTE HOME PURCHASE - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. LOOK ELSEWHERE!! Pulte does not standby their product. Response time to warranty issues related to heating, plumbing and appliances is slow. You can wait more than a week for an initial service visit and the repairs can take weeks to complete. Pulte does not seem to be concerned with the quality of the components they use to build the houses and they do not take any responsibility for the individual components such as the furnace, appliances, and windows, etc. The homeowner has to resolve any issues with these components directly with the manufacturers.

Hello, This is second time we are building a new home. This time it was from a big national builder-Pulte Homes. We liked their open concept plan and we think we got a good price for the house. But the build experience was bad. Lot of dried up drywall dust on the floor and windows, it was not cleaned up well especially on window frames. They had missed some key things we had purchased-no garage opening machine and keypads, flat panel tv package etc. The walk through and closing was all rushed because of issues with county inspections so we couldn't do a comprehensive check before closing. I do give credit they did address the missed items upon closing but quality of drywall painting and cleaning is something they have to address. ... More

the sale representative and field manager are great people. They are responsive. The building is high quality and get a very good rating from our private inspector. There are some small issues with the interior cosmetics though.

We love our new home, but as first time buyers we know now what to look for in our next purchase. Things like vanities having no drawers that pull out, walls that are not straight or humps in the flooring. Overall it’s a sound structure and we got what we paid for.

Love how well built the house is structurally. The finish work is lacking however. Paint spots, overspray, rough baseboards etc... The final 2-3 weeks seemed rushed - and it shows.

Overall process was smooth and organized. Lack of skilled trades is the real issue. Construction quality seems high, the finish work was rushed and very average. Once taking possession responsiveness has declined. Issues aren't large ones but once signing off we certainly don't seem quite as important to Pulte

Pulte is trustworthy and they do what they say.

If I could give no start for the workmanship, I would. The workmanship needs to a major improvement. Compare to other national builder, Pulte has proven to be fallen short. We have experience with another builder which was great experience from the moment we made the purchase of the lot, to the workmanship and the details of the aesthetics. These little details are very important to home buyers. They are important to us, yet, we have found so many flaws , which some are dangerous (such as carpet staples coming out and poking anyone who walks on carpet) in our home that create this overwhelming disappointment. ... There is a culture of shoddy workman ship that has developed. Almost everyone who worked on our home had to come back to cleanup or redo something they did. Forget about the home warranty department. They don't respond. I will never buy from a National builder again.

The whole process from meeting with the employees from different department; they were all very helpful and patient. They do their best to meet your needs in what you want in your new home. We are satisfied and happy with our purchase.

Most of the house is great, and the process is great. Moving into and finding a lot of small things that weren't perfect is understandable. We are but humans. The process of getting Management to fix small details takes forever its been 3 months since I moved in and no progress has been made to fix things.

Structurally our home appears good. Fine details are really terrible. We just gave up on complaining because it never got addressed. Even when they came to fix it multiple times. When you choose Pulte, you get a great neighborhood, but not a great house. (To the point when others come in and point out the bad looking fine details.)

The paint used is way to cheap for what you pay for. You can just look at the wall the wrong way and it marks up. There should be an upgrade on the paint.
