All of the Pulte folks tried their best. And actually the sub contractors were friendly and responsive, and fun to talk to. The trouble is when they finished their respective job there was little or no responsibility placed on them to leave the job completed in a workmanship like manner which includes leaving the job site clean and hazard free. I thought that there was little or no accountability placed on the sub contractors unless I complained. Then, perhaps, my concerns would be heard. I would be afraid to not do my own supervision.

We purchased in Longleaf at Oakland. Our builder was with us every step of the way. Standing out were Crystal and Dyanna, and wow these ladies are amazing! They really care about you as a buyer and will do everything they can to help!!! Jim and Matt and Shane also all did great to help us finish our dream home and everyone made sure we were 100% satisfied when we went to closing. No detail passed over, no stone unturned! This builder is who you want if you want a quality home with wonderful warranty! David with warranty has also been great to work with resolving those little things that you do not notice until living in the home. All of our growing pains are being addressed and we just could not be any happier with our purchase with Pulte Homes! Thanks Pulte! We love you! ... More

I can preface this with "should have gotten everything in writing", but in the moment easier said than done. Our experience started off great with a sales person telling us everything we wanted to hear, immediately after signing to start construction the experience began to degrade. Communication in the beginning was horrendous. All of the meetings we were told would be scheduled(in regards to construction) never were, unless we called endlessly to schedule them. The field managers were great during the build process but the quality of work was sub par. It appears that all of the contracts were given to the lowest bidder. "every" piece of visual detail was awful. Spackle was used as a universal fix for everything. Trim falling off the wall? Just lean it back up, no one will notice. To say the process was stressful would be an understatement. All in all once you get in the home and either repair issues yourself or just get over the small things, the home is nice, but if I had to do it over again I likely wouldn't have gone with a pulte new construction home. ... I have met some great Pulte people who have made the whole process easy. Anything that needed correcting was done in a timely manner. We love our new home .Kudos to Courtney, Jennifer and Ron.

I was shocked at the condition of my wood floors when closing. There should have been some type of covering on them.. The mud was horrible and it took me 3 cleaning to get it all up. There was paint on the floor and also on some of the dark wood. There were screws under the cabinets that had to be pulled out and holes were made. the calk on the fire place is a disgrace. The front door had a large gap and cold air was coming through, the garage entrance to the house would not even close unless I through my whole body weight against the door.

When I found out that Pulte was the builder I did not have high hopes and Pulte did not disappoint. The house was wrong from they day the footers were dug incorrectly which is an issue I had to point out to the Field Manager myself. There isn’t enough space to go into detail with all the issues that we encountered during this build. I fully expect there to be major structural issues with the house within the 10 year structural warranty. The Field Supervisor was replaced and I will say that things went much more smoothly after that. On a positive note I will say that Pulte used good quality materials (Schlute waterproofing/Pex pluming/hot water recirc pump) but the craftsmanship was WAY under what I would expect in a house in this price range. ... Our home got delayed due to inclement weather and unfavorable soil conditions for months. Minor items requested in the initial contract were not fulfilled. Those issues were brought up during quality walks. Most items were taken care at the end. The quality of drywall is poor - thin walls and easily dented. The trim along all the home was not cut properly. Every door edge is rough and even injured my child. The field manager's response is that Pulte is interested in making profits - buying a product that is cheaper than providing quality finish. Plumbing soldering was not performed on one of the shower pipes - resulting in flooding through drywall. Two window decorative shutters do not stay in place - needed plastic screws replaced. Our vehicles barely fit in 3 car garages - why could not they make the entry a few inches wider especially many residents have minivans and pick up trucks. My previous 15 year old house built by Pulte has better quality with materials and workmanship than the latest homes I see here in Detroit and Cleveland areas. Since Pulte builds at prime locations that are very attractive to families, many people tend to overlook some of the quality issues. But as discussed in private phone chat groups among owners, most people are not happy with Pulte homes and their attitude to own up to cheap builds while charging premium dollars on lots and builds. ... Great location. The townhome finished with my requested upgrades perfectly, and was “on time”. Since moving in, there have been fit and finish issues with the construction that need work (missing caulking in kitchen leading to bugs in the house). And the continued construction outside the house each morning at 7 limits any opportunity for sleep. I knew the latter though going into the purchase. Dimensions of the hallway/stairs make your furniture choices very limited. Something I didn’t consider pre purchase. Otherwise a great place. I receive many compliments on how nice the place is. Looks great from the outside, and neighbors are quiet. I’m happy with the purchase given the location and what the townhome has to offer, but it falls short from a solid 4 or 5 stars because of initial build issues, noise from construction, and narrow hallways ... Love our new home. Everyone at Pulte we’re amazing. So thrilled we trusted them in our new home purchase. Great experience. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home. No major issues, response times and construction manger have been supportive and responsive.

We bought our new Pulte home in August 2019. Sales and construction kept in close touch throughout the process. We expected some delay in the close date, but it ended up being delayed a total of 6 weeks. After moving in, it took three months for a few last issues to be resolved (things like replacing a door, staining the fence, wiring external outlets, etc). Although the process was a little longer and more annoying than we'd expected, ultimately we are very satisfied with our new home. The house itself is lovely and very well constructed. I would definitely consider Pulte again in the future.

Always received timely feedback o questions and issues from the sales team and project manager.

We love our new home and we have had quick responses for things that needed addressed.

I submitted my 30 day checklist on Nov 15th and have not heard back from anyone (Dec 5) on when the issues I reported will be resolved. I contacted CAC@pulte.com on Nov 29th and they said someone would contact me? Haven't heard from anyone. (Dec 5) There has also been a lot of problem with landscaping collapsing on this block over the past 2 weeks and it has to do with Packing that wasn't properly done when pipes were laid to the sides of houses. There is confusion on who is responsible (Arizona pipe or Desert Valley) and what the reporting process is, there isn't one? you contact Pulte Reps and no one responds. You call Desert Valley Landscaping and they are too busy or don't want to spend anytime resolving the issues. They send someone out and they put rock on it to cover problem so you can't see it. After searching through used houses on the market, we decided that we are not fixer-uppers, and wanted something fairly new. At the time we were shopping, the inventory of lightly-used houses was very thin, and the price difference for a new house was not significant. So we talked to realtors and friends, and they all had positive things to say about Pulte. Our expectations have so far been exceeded.

We have been in the house for 2 months in a new neighborhood. Between HOA issues, improperly installed irrigation systems, non-working electrical outlets, Bon-working heat pump, counter-top defects and other issues; we have had a contractor at the house every week since we moved in. The USPS couldn’t even get us our mail for over 3 weeks after we moved in, b/c Pulte didn’t get them a key to the mailboxes. Very disappointing to this point.

Lots of trails and parks.

Home design is exactly what we wanted, location is great, and the house was completed on time. Sales office and related offices for mortgage and insurance were very responsive. Builder was accommodating for non-standard features we requested. However, quality of workmanship and materials used were less than anticipated. Examples are plumbing lines/shutoff valves, and not using 16-inch centered studs on non-weight bearing walls. Appliances are builder grade, and we needed to have the microwave repaired in the first week.

In my case, I’m probably overly critical, especially when paying $700k. Ultimately, Pulte resolved every last issue and went above and beyond with its customer service. While the experience was challenging, as is with any new build, the end result was worthwhile and I’d recommend Pulte to anyone.

My wife and I had a positive experience with everyone who helped in the purchase of our new home. We've been in our new home for about one and half months and are enjoying getting settled in Columbia Townes!

We fell in love with our home, not only because it is spacious. It's about the quality that Pulte put out and the details in their structure.

Elevator, Trash Chute & Garbage has been such a problem I really hope these issues are not recurrences I suggested Dartmouth to have security be omovein furnitures. The Garage vent is broken, all happened in Building 5. The next building that is being done can, I would like to suggest Pulte to have 1 unit that is WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE (which means) lower kitchen sink, stove, cabinets & bathroom vanity the shower is perfect. I have search for so many condos, this was the best place I found because it has a garage. There are many disabled people looking for an accessible place to live who will be able to afford to move to a Pulte complex ... More
