Communication between staff member and staff and customers was not good. The process from beginning to end was not good. I was encouraged to sell my home with an anti aped move in date of September. I did not move into November. The mortgage company told me mid October. Staff told me I could get my keys on a Monday I didn’t move in until Thursday. There were lapses all along. If I had my choice I would not buy Pulte again.

Communication is vital to a successful build relationship. Ask for weekly status updates while making sure you are clear (before starting the process) on what your expectations are.

We signed our contract in March of 2022. The process started off wonderful. The sales office was communicative, the design center was a great experience, and our walk with our construction superintendent was educational and informative. We were notified that we were set to close in September, received our signing date and signed our docs. We were notified a week before close that someone had ordered the wrong color cabinets and that here would be a delay. I understood, these things happen. We waited an additional month to hear back. A few weeks later we were notified that the house was not ...

High fire danger problem with the City of Menifee should have been solved prior to giving us a false closing date. We were not allowed to move into our home after it was built due to this problem. We had to stay in a hotel for one month.

The Pulte home buying experience started out to be very positive. Unfortunately, the craftsmanship and attention to detail was mediocre at best. We felt the builder was more interested in closing several home before the end of the year than actually doing quality work. After moving in and speaking with other residents in the Norwood Chase neighborhood, we see that most of the 33 homes are experiencing similar concerns. Our construction manager was amazing and working like crazy to meet the demands. It’s impossible. I hope Pulte gives new buyers better attention at their new subdivisions in ...

Nice community, lackluster quality, design and slow build progress

Our neighborhood is shaping up to be a nice community but overall our build and buying experience was not exceptional. Our completed home looks nice, but by watching the build process we know the bones of our house are low quality. The concrete slab was not well tended during curing and has an abundance of hairline cracks everywhere. Some are completely through the slab. In the framing there were hundreds of nails that missed their mark. We have floor panels that are loose and make noise when they are walked on. Prior to closing we found a door that was installed in the wrong ...

There are always issues after closing. Most are minor, but there isn’t great customer service or responsiveness after closing by construction manager. We are an afterthought. There should be a person on the construction side to make customers requests feel important post closing for all issues, especially the non warranty issues. Dropping the ball here is what dropped the score.

Review for Pulte Hilltop Closing

Andy and Ryan were phenomenal as Project Manager/Sales Rep. The trades were beyond horrible with craftmanship and response times. Crooked drywall, crooked cabinets, crooked countertops, and crooked door trim and frames awaited me everywhere on the day of my closing. During the build, the trades were scheduled for a certain day and/or time, which was relayed to me by Andy, but when I would check on the house, that particular item was not completed. Sometimes the delay was a week, sometimes the delay was a month. The trades would also have a punch list of five items that I would present to ...

Finishing work is subpar

We love many things about our new home. We are disappointed with the quality of some of the "finishing work" - sheet rock; painting; trim work; etc. As example, we just had window coverings installed and some windows have the appearance that shades and blinds look not level and unevenly centered when in reality some of the windows are not square. Perfection is not a reasonable criteria but for the price paid for our home we certainly expected superior quality and craftsmanship. The longer we occupy our home the more and more "shortcuts" we become aware of.

We would have never built with Pulte had we known what a poor quality home they would build for us. We basically had to be onsite every day to catch mistakes that were being made. We built a home with no basement and the plumbing was not coming out of the floor in the correct places. The main supply for water into the house was in a storage closet doorway that we had to tell them to move and also later on discovering toilets not centered. This all had to be corrected by breaking up the concrete and re-centering pipes. The electric wiring was also an issue. The pendant lights over the kitchen ...

The overall quality of the craftsmanship in the home is poor. While I understand the house needs to settle and some of that will result in cosmetic changes, these things shouldn’t be happening after less that two weeks after settlement. The molding is separating from the wall in almost every area of my home. Additionally countertops are separating from the wall, my dishwasher racks were not property aligned, and I had to do multiple walkthroughs in order to ensure that basic expectations for painting and finishing touches were completed before I moved in. The response was very relaxed as if ...

The bad experience started early. We bought in the very first month of releases, but when it came time to lock in the color of the home, our salesman told us our color choice was restricted because he allowed people who the month after us to pick first. Then they discarded all the rules on elevation and model locations, which means you have houses with the same elevation next to each other. Our communication with our salesman stopped when no work was done on our house for 2 months after the walls went up. We were initially told to expect a mid-July to mid-September closing. Our ...
