Repairs and Unfinished work at closing

We closed on our home at the end of June after almost 14 months of waiting. During our walk through several days prior to closing, all items that we could readily see that needed repair were noted and "blue taped". On the day of closing, we were given our keys and told that all of the items that had been listed were either done, or would be done as soon as possible. Those items noted at walk through, but not done were damaged kitchen cabinets, including doors that were on order because they had a whole in the front of them, chipped cultured marble bathroom countertop, an outdoor light ...

Overall rated 3 out of 5 due to the process or mentoring and the lack of quality in finishing touches. Through the whole process I felt rushed and was asked for information that I did not understand what it would be used for. There is a lot of information to go through and sign that i wish someone could have walked me through and educated me. rather than jsut asking me to sign. Most, if not all, documents are protecting the builder and not you as the buyer so it is critical for you to understand the risk or what you are sigining and agreeing to. Overall, we love our new home and everyone that we worked with at Pulte throughout the process, but you should have realistic expectations about the level of attention your home will receive. It's just the nature of their business. Pulte is one of the largest builders and they excel at building homes quickly and efficiently, which positively impacts their top and bottom line. Before buying my Pulte home, I had been researching other homes with little satisfaction. When I saw the Pulte homes, I was ecstatic; they had everything I wanted in a new home. I wanted a single level, a patio, and a pantry which according to the advertisement came with these homes. Two house with Pulte BUT NEVER AGAIN!!!

Pulte needs to control their vendors quality! Painters did poor job! Used very thin layers of paint and we can see the blue mark up to be painted again. Electrical vendor damage our upgrade trim but decided to caulk the trim instead of replacing it. Carpenter didn’t smooth out the trim and used the rough side as the face. Electrical vendor will cancel your warranty for simply switching out the switch unless your goes through them for a “small fee”. I will never build with Pulte again.

Pulte Homes has good service. Like others builder, they have sister companies that will offer you Title service, Loan and Insurance for incentive. We didn't get any of other services, except the Loan (Pulte Mortgage) and Pulte Mortgage's loan officers we were assigned to was HORRIBLE, didn't answers questions and slow to response. Pulte Homes itself provide great service from the sales person to the construction manager and customer care people after closing. The mediocre workmanship come from all the contractors and sub-contractors they hired. They are not detail oriented and miss few things ...

The Realtor at the location Erik has been very professional, has a lot of knowledge about the homes and is very responsive to all of the questions about our new home. Lloyd has also done a wonderful job keeping us in the loop during construction and with answering questions about the workings of a smart home and it's functions.

Closed on 6/16 and working through items that need attention. My builder has been responsive in all cases but the quality of the subs has not been adequate. Appointments have been made and the subs don't show up or when they do they don't complete the job Very frustrating.

Several plantings in yard were dead when I moved in. I was told there is not an warranty. I find that unacceptable. Any place you buy a plant or tree there is a warranty.

Home buying process was okay, could have been better. Financing was okay but mostly because we were on top of it and kept following up with Pulte. They sent us letters twice saying we were not compliant even though we had submitted all the paperwork they asked for. Freaked us out but when we called they said to disregard and they would look into it. My experience with Pulte has been below average. I closed on 06/23 and still have issues with wood floors, kitchen cabinet and other things. I have been here over 6 weeks now and chasing building Manager. I plan to post a review on Google so others are aware of the experience I'm going through.

We closed on our home in late April of 2022. When we arrived at our new “dream” home it was dirty and much of the detail work was sloppy. Grout debris was on the bathroom tiles. The pool had dirt, nails and other debris in it. There was paint and stucco on the pavers, the washer and dryer was not secured or level, there were pieces of shoe molding that were missing and there was molding around the cabinets and a few other places that was missing as well. My main concern was water in the basement during construction. The grading was not fully finished until 1-2 wks before closing and water almost was accumulated in the basement after snow or rain. We raised our concern multiple times and got various excuses.

Design studio experience was very stressful. Two things. One. some options that were available were not discussed. Second, it would have been a much better experience with the design center to have at least 24 hrs. to change some decisions. or add some options.
