The experience of purchasing the home direct with Pulte was pleasant. We found the house to have our ideal layout. They included extra favors without cost to us and were much appreciated. The energy efficiency features are noticeable, even when compared to our previous home which was also a new build with similar claims. We generally get very quick responses to fix issues around the house, but the number of issues keep growing. Workmanship and material wise, it is a level below our previous builder. No other way to say it. This has been an extremely disappointing and regrettable process. What started as my family building our dream home quickly turned into the most stressful time of our lives. And no one at Pulte seemed to care. Went with Pulte for their reputation as a national builder and we liked the area. There were a lot of included home features like basement, deck without paying extra. Outside of the length of time to get into our home - affecting all new construction; very pleased how they meet with you at each build phase and Mortgage company got us great rate.

Pulte was 100% communicative and responsive during the home buying process. AFTER I moved into the home, there were a few issues that needed to be taken care of - one of which that was promised during the final walk thru - that still has yet to be delivered. Constant calls to the community customer representatives for repairs on items is turning out to be a nightmare and quite frankly is a huge disappointment. I regret why I signed the closure documents, trusting the people they would resolve later on. I have been told that people would come over but nobody turned up since the time of closure.I still see that few of the works couldn't be completed before closure.These issues have been there since closure and delay. 1) Carpet Issue-I have few nails popped out and kids were injured too.Can you please send someone to tuck in the nails? We started with Jim G. and Ken picked up after Jim retired, but Ken was really helpful in keeping us up to date with status and what we needed on our end to do to keep the process moving. Alyssa at the design center was instrumental in helping us find options that best suited our needs and preferences. The overall build experience was positive. Dan was great to work with in terms of responsiveness, communication, and tried to be as accommodating as possible. The quality of workmanship was lacking (most likely subcontracting). Even after the pre-closing walk through, some of the fixes where not any better than the original issue(s). However, I will say that Dan will work to make things right.

Our experience buying with Pulte has been great. A good warranty is always something I look for when buying and knowing that I can reach out for any and all issues and get a quick response really provides peace of mind. No matter what kind of home you buy, you will always have "something" that needs to be fixed. I'm very happy with our purchase so far.

During the closing process many issues that came up during multiple inspections were not addressed and we will have to deal with them moving forward with warranty even though the items were inspected in advance, construction manager was asked to make corrections and he agreed it would be completed before closing. Buying from out of town facilitated the team to assure us that everything was done, however, showing up for closing finding out it was not the case. Sales and construction managers were great overall, responsive and engaging. Major issues related to subcontractors timelinesses and attention to detail. 6 weeks after closing, still a number of unresolved issues which are taking unnecessarily too long to effectively address. This is simply unacceptable for a home in this price range!

Our sales person was poorly trained. For instance, we asked the upgrade cost of a sprinkler system and he said it was not an option. It was, but we didn't find out until after we closed. We chose a floorplan with an extended kitchen. He said it was included in the base price, but when we got to the design appointment, it was a $5800 upgrade. Pulte needs to slow down the process by a few weeks

If Pulte would take just a few extra weeks to finish a home it would make a world of difference. Pulte wants their money without regard to the large amount of money buyers are putting down for their homes. Unfortunately everything is driven by closing a certain number of homes every month so the last two weeks are crazy time as they rush to complete jobs. The trades are under pressure to get their respective jobs done so they rush to complete at the expense of quality.
