Danny, Nick and the Executive team did a great job in a very difficult market! Not everything went perfectly but Pulte stood behind their commitment to make it an awesome experience! We love our new home in Independence at Carters Station. As a bonus, the neighbors are the best!!

Home buying experience vs after purchase experience

I had a great experience through the home buying process, however after closing the experience left much to be desired. None of the walk through items were completed prior to closing. I had to drive through a snowstorm to get to closing as they did not move, only to get to a dirty house with none of the punch list items completed. It has also been a bumpy process getting things done on the punch list and for new pop up items. Overall Construction Quality is great. Quality of clean up of finish product is not good. The floor of my shower was stained with rust and heavy duty construction caulking that was not attended to and has been impossible to remove. Same kind of stain 6" x 2" on one of my wood flooring in a main area of my dining area. I was assured that it was no big deal and could be removed. I had electrical issues " tripping breakers" to my refrigerator that were repaired 10 days after moving in. I'm still having irrigation issues "leaking water and sink hole " that have been repaired once already still on ...

We bought our house about 2 months ago and had excellent experience from the sales person there. However we experienced major issues with the builder and construction team. We closed on a house that still had items that were unfinished and were promised that they would be taken care off the day that we would close. Not only those items were NOT done as promised, but it took us 2 month of calling and emailing the construction team daily/ weekly without any response. We had a very pleasant experience with Pulte. My husband and I are newly weds and first time home buyers so we were apprehensive in the whole process. Mary, our salesperson was very patient and responsive with all our questions and reservations on certain things. We also thought the support staff including the design team. We were also very happy with our field property manager who also walked us through the process and gave us very good pointers and answered our questions.

From our initial meeting with Devin in sales, to our interactions with Dan & Steve our Construction Managers we always felt in the loop. Then when we moved in and had a few issues, our Customer Service Rep Kristi has been on top of every repair/fix we’ve submitted a claim on. An overall A+ experience!

I find myself keeping a spreadsheet for warranty repairs, chasing when repair people don’t show, and am now sending a weekly update on what is outstanding, not scheduled, etc. I already have a full time job and don’t really need more work honestly. Accountability or your partners is critical and accountability of Pulte to manage the repairs to be done. I should not have to chase these on a daily basis between my own conference calls for work. We are home everyday working and schedule our work around folks coming and the rate of showing up is 25% then I have to chase it myself.

Pulte Sales misled me early on, costing me thousands of dollars. Low quality standards evidenced inside and outside of house. Contractors show no pride in their work, or interest in doing a good quality job. Pulte construction shows no interest in quality. They are incented to put the house up as fast as possible so Pulte can collect your money ASAP!!!

Although Pulte has been responsive to addressing the numerous issues I have had with my home there are two big problems. First a lot of my time was wasted in getting issues resolved. Second numerous other small annoyances remain but I’m to exhausted to deal with them. I would never buy a Pulte home again. Life is to short.

The total quality of the workmanship and quality assurance were not up to standards. As soon as we moved in we started experiencing several problems. Another big problem is that we moved in to our brand new home almost two months ago, and until now, we still don’t have an oven/microwave combo. If you ask my personal opinion, this is unsatisfactory.
