Terrible experience. So dissatisfied

Dan and his team are amazing. He is responsive, approachable and knowledgeable. I learned so much from him being so in depth. We are very pleased to have them as our team.

Make sure you get everything completed before you close. Once you sign off, all the promises to get punch list items correct fly out of the window. I am now on month 2 and its like pulling teeth to get a response from anyone. When I do get a response, more promises that are not fullfilled.

I was in overseas and could not get the inspection check. Site manager has did the inspection and checked everything is good, but I have issues with door locks for garage door, bedroom door, and ground floor bath door has closet lock, and some other issues were reported via email to site manager but no response. Not satisfied because if pulte can’t take care of minor issues then I doubt for major.

If all sales people at Pulte are anything like the one we had to deal with, we would have never signed the contract. Our sales person is only interested in getting that initial contract and then disappears blaming everyone else at Pulte for any delays/inconveniences that arise (even the ones he created).

The was our first purchase of a newly constructed home. We also had not purchased any home in many years and so we were learning a lot and needed help to understand the process and the build. The Pulte staff, from sales, to design, construction and follow up, were and continue to be incredible. They were all very responsive and answered our questions quickly. They also handled any issues or concerns that came up as if they were the customer. Some of the team like Tremel Lang, even went beyond our expectations during walk throughs and issue follow up. I felt like they had our best interests in mind and were thorough in making sure we understood any aspect of the purchase and the home itself. The house was beautifully designed, very well built and we love it. The team walked us through exactly how and why Pulte homes are built the way they are. This gave us a great understanding of the value of the new home and confidence in the build quality. If there was one area that we would like to see improved, it would be the options selections in the design process. We were surprised that some options were not standard such as a side garage door. In addition we spent a lot more money on design options than we were led to believe we would. Our expectations were set that we would spend a certain amount of money on options but as it turned out that we spent quite a bit more than we anticipated in order to get the quality of what was represented to us in the model homes. Some of the included options we felt were of lower quality as compared to the quality level that we had come to expect from a Putle home giving us no choice but to upgrade. It has been the worst experience of purchasing a new home ever. Had to get an attorney involved when we were told we did not qualify. Then the workers were told do not fix anything because our home was going to be sold as is. The appliances look like they are second hand they are so bad. Custom cabinets look awful. The whole house was painted with some sort of flat paint (I believe it may be primer). As we were told they could not get paint. My toilets had poop skid marks in them because they left it open for the trades people to use. When we asked for construction trash to be removed it was tossed up on a 12 ft high retaining wall (as if we would not notice). My carpet was trashed by the painters and other people. My gates were ruined by overspray and my backyard trashed where the plaster and paint contractors empties their guns in my yard. Now we are being told they are not going to fix many of these issues. Then to be told by an employee what do I expect for a 500,000 home. I have heard a lot of things over my lifetime but I was never so appalled and insulted in my lifetime. I guess when his bosses told him we were not qualified he felt he had free rein to talk to us anyway he wanted. Then lie about it when confronted. Everyone at Pulte made my first time buying a home a great experience. They were all helpful and informative. From me making the bid on the house all the way till the closing day. It was a beautiful experience and everyone I worked with were very nice and patient. If I had to do it all over again, it would definitely be Pulte Homes.

From signing the purchase agreement with sales, to walk throughs and phone discussions with the field managers to post build dealings with the warranty team. Everyone has been fantastic. Kind, compassionate, timely response and professional

The builder is very attentive to detail and the floor plans are very comfortable.

I was always updated on the build and any delays and why the delays.

From the day I put a down payment (my first home) to meeting Patrick during the construction to the day I met Robert for the warranty explanation, this team was amazing. Kristina walked me through all the steps patiently. Robert did a clear concise and was extremely helpful after closing. Patrick is the best. From putting my mind at ease and helping me understand all the construction steps to the closing inspection he more than made the experience worthwhile. Thank you to Pulte for having a team so in touch with the customer and receptive to responding to all questions.

Scott is a future leader that should be invested in. His professionalism, organized communication approach and willingness to roll up his sleeves. He had to do work himself 7 days a week because staffing wasn’t available. Shannon was super responsive and we are grateful for her never seeming annoyed by us. Couple recommendations/concerns: Vagueness on timeline was incredibly frustrating. Being told we would get penalized on a mortgage rate lock in if the same company was delayed was frustrating. Why not absorb the cost of lock fees if don’t finish the job as initially projected. Also, title day there was an error that would have cost us a lot if I didn’t catch it. Doesn’t seem like the different groups within Pulte talk to each other enough. One phone call between Shannon and Bridget and it was resolved. The shower handle still hasn’t been replaced yet - we closed 6 weeks ago. Also several of the drywall walls are bowed, moreover flat paint too cheap. We had it completely repainted eggshell and semi gloss in Kitchen and Baths - should be standard. ... More

Took 13 months to build our house when it was supposed to be 5, maybe 6 months. Even then the house wasn't finished when they rushed us to closing. We had them come back twice for cleaning and they still couldn't get the floors mopped, grout off the tiles, construction adhesive and paint off the windows. 2 months later we are still waiting for punch list items to be completed. Pulte hasn't adopted their building practices, especially purchasing, to a COVID world. They just continually use the excuse "because of COVID". We have purchased two other new homes from builders considered of lesser quality but had a much better experiences. ... More

Home is still incomplete after 2 months. Missing master shower, doors, and damaged cabinets. I’ve built 4 homes before. This experience is worst. $500,000 for low quality is inexcusable.

Incomplete work at the time of signing. Patch work is still incomplete after a month of signing!

The most important thing for us was that the house was ready when they originally said it would be because we were moving across the country. In that aspect, the house was ready when they said it would be ready - so 10/10. Beyond that, I feel like we got what we paid for. It was a spec home (nothing custom) so I would say we got average level attention to detail when it came to finishing the house.

Had a great experience with the mortgage team that I had a pleasure of working with!! Customer service and care for the client was way more than I expected.

This has been a nightmare from day one. We are a young family moving to tampa from Orlando and were sold a house with an approximate closing date of 8/2021. We forgave many other better products because of this said closing date. Pulte off the back told us we were pushed back to 12/2021 and then later to 2/2022. Due to Current market standards we understood. Once the build process started we never really had any good feeling. The construction manager never had a control on the build process and was giving false timeline expectations. The build quality was poor the workmanship was bad and the construction team couldn’t seem to get a grip on all the problems we were pointing out to them. They cancelled closing and rescheduled it within 10 days of their own given date not once but twice. I had to vacate my rental with my family and live in an air bnb. I had to reschedule my finance closing. After we closed we were handed a poorly finished house with multiple unfinished sidings and paint jobs and I couldn’t believe a multi billion dollar company was ok with putting their name on such a product. The carpet had been put in earlier during construction and even an upgrade felt really cheap and was immensely dirt. My sons are both asthamatics and were falling sick on a daily basis so much so that I had to get the entire carpet reinstalled and all the ac ducts cleaned out at my own cost literally within 2 weeks of moving into a new house. During this change of carpet we saw that the hole in the floor that we had been telling the construction manager for weeks to fix - was still there and increasing in size now. Within the same 2 weeks the bath tub in the master bathroom leaked into the garage ceiling and flooded my garage and destroyed the garage ceiling and side wall with water damage. Mold is already in. And after the nightmare construction I’m going through a nightmare Mold inspection and dry wall work. There are innumerable other problems that we have faced during this move that would be too many to list here. This is my second new build. And I know from previous experience that new home builds don’t start like this, are not this painful, are not done with no care and don’t have such big problems to start with. All I can say is I was very very surprised by such a big name as pulte could not resolve problems when they occurred and were pointed out to them. And now are ok with putting their brand name on a product like the one they gave us. This was happening in a 725k house and I can’t even imagine what they’re doing (and getting away with) in the cheaper ones. This was as much a financial and social stress on me and my family as it was associated with their health and safety. I thought would be healthy and safe in a new house. Boy was I wrong. ... More

Overall experience with Pulte was great. I would recommend Pulte ti friends and families.

Marc Taglieri at sales office is awesome - knowledgeable, helpful, caring, honest and most friendly. This is the second house I bought from him at this community. Justin S. is extremely helpful in overseeing the construction process, so is Jack P ,Kylie and Bradley from Warranty/customer care that absolutely took care of any issues promptly. Victoria at design center is amazing in advising our interior options. PGP Escrow officer Alyssa K was super efficient and responsive. All great people.

It’s been very bad experience, in terms of communication and response. And new house has so many problems ,Including faulty equipment and it’s hard to get hold of people to get issues fixed. And closing has been delayed for months . And after waiting for Months and overpaying interests we still have to face issues like low water pressure and dishwasher, oven not working , electrical issues which cause inconvenience consistently in every day life.

In this crazy time with supply issues and home prices continuing to rise, we feel we got a great house in a new community. I think building with this builder, although we knew supply issues were a concern, they were able to keep the construction going and delays were minimal. Happy with the process. Erick our project manager answered all our questions and listened to our concerns.

Its has been a horrible sales experience and the followup has been even worst. I wouldn't purchase a Pulte Homes property again. I feel that your company doesn't care about their customers and its all about the money!!

Expected much more from Pulte, especially after our second home that was built by them. Quality of materials and build was really disappointing and even more so was the rush to try and complete major issues before closing. Were also promised that major items still pending would be finished within days after closing. Should have trusted my instinct because it is going on 2 months and still no resolutions and we have to be the one constantly pursuing the so called warranty manager to get answers and only to receive attitude and no control over any subs.
