Pulte homes are good. It is easy to be a homeowner with pulte

Overall it was a long wild ride. The early sales process was simple but even at the start there were unsatisfying choices that had to be made. When you’re told you can have the exact exterior you want, sign, THEN find out actually you can’t have what they said you could - that was disappointing. The build process was frustrating but somewhat expected. Build quality is cheap cheap cheap. They fired the crew that framed our house, wavy walls isn’t a good look. They did their best to fix most of the major issues. Overall we’re happy with our home but would be hesitant to buy a pulte again.

Sales person really helpful and quick to respond. Project manager seemed to not know what was going on 1/2 the time. Expected better quality and workmanship for the price

it was long wait to finish the construction got some delays but understandable due to pandemic, but its worth it.

I would never purchase from Pulte again. They are disorganized from the beginning until the end. In addition, communication is lacking with with homebuyers. We were delayed by almost 4 months and not once did someone reach out to provide that status. Mid-way through, we were told our paint selections would only be available in flat paint due to supply chain. I spoke to the local Sherwin Williams store and they had no problem securing the exact same in eggshell and semi-gloss. Pulte refused to work with us and eventually said we can downgrade to standard paint or cancel our contract. This is a very poor way to do business. We have now been owned our home for ~6 weeks and are missing items that should be available by now: stonework for kitchen window, garage doors, fixture lighting in all bathrooms, and our hood for our stove. I’m totally satisfied with the company. They’ve been skilled, responsible and friendly.

This is my first build and has not been a great experience. The painting and caulking is bad and my cabinet lower piece has a large gap. The garage door does not automatically work, I am having to manually lift it up and down. There is no sense of urgency from the construction manager to address these issues as many issues were identified before closing and i was told that these items would be addresses. Also, not to mention that they did not clean the sliding door track which has very noticeable dirt. This I was also told would be cleaned.

Buying experience was ok at the start but closer to the end trying to figure out closing was a bit messy. Responsiveness to issue at final walk thru and days after closing is lacking. Still waiting on stuff/answers weeks later. I get that they are busy and have other home owners but if you say you will do something do it.

Schedule adherence was great. In general, the house is built good and looks good. However there are aspects that left 1)quality of materials for cabinets etc 2) lack of quarter rounds on hardwood floors is an eye sore 3) No transition where carpet and tiles meet and it looks a bit dangerous 4) heat is mostly going into one side of the house(hopefully can be fixed) 5) feels like we can hear every sound from outside

The first thing that stood out to us was the customer service, especially from our sales consultant Robb. He was responsive to all our questions and always made us feel like our time was valued. We also appreciated the transparency of the building process and prices; however, I did dock 1 star just because I felt like prices were so high (thanks COVID). Overall, I would certainly recommend Pulte to any new home builder...they made the process very easy (and as least stressful as possible), especially for a first-time homebuyer.

Sergio did a great job managing my home construction. Rob with Pulte mortgage was very helpful too. Mark, the local rep has been very responsive to our after purchase needs as well.

It was a pleasant experience and process from beginning to the end of the construction.

Project Manager was great! House is built incredibly well. Material used is of the highest quality. Only reason I did not give five stars is because of the money I spent during the design process on the low voltage cable. There is no cable service in the neighborhood so all TV must be streamed. There is absolutely no need for low voltage and was not made aware. Besides this detail the entire process was incredibly and would build with Pulte again.

The complete home buying process was horrible, a train wreck, by far the worst of any new build house I have purchased. It took 16 months from the time we signed our contract until closing with over 10 months being the build. The drawings for the house didn’t align with our options in our contract and then the house wasn’t even built to the drawings causing massive delays due to rework including redoing basement concrete to add plumbing that was never installed for the entire house and redoing framing in the basement and first floor. The house being built incorrectly wasn’t even caught by our field managers, I had to tell them that the house was being built to an incorrect floor plan. Then there were months of delays where no work happened, months of terrible or no communication followed by more issues with permitting linked back to the incorrect drawings which we weren’t made aware of until the house had been stalled for weeks with no status update. Our very first closing date given to us at the start was 7/22 and it ended up being 12/10, even though the confirmed date given to us 30 days out was 12/8, all due to the Pulte screw-ups, and we didn’t even know it was closing on 12/10 until 12/9. Our field manager could never answer a single question we asked and he never knew when a certain job was going to happen. We would ask him on Friday when something was going to happen, like paving the driveway, and he would say he didn’t know or that it would be sometime in the next couple weeks, and then we would go to the house Saturday to find the work had been completed. The guy had no clue how to do his job at every front from knowledge on building to communication. Work was still being done on our house after we closed and got the keys! It’s utterly insane that Pulte has no process to design and build a house, nor an actual schedule with real milestones for building a house. And finally, after we closed the house was left with trash all over the front and backyards, a port-o-potty and dumpster out front for several days, trash on the roof and interior fit and finish work incomplete. ... Build manager at this neighborhood was great at explaining the process and taking care of any and all issues.

This is our first home we bought and the experience was great. The construction manager took care of any minor cosmetic fixes and issues very promptly and efficiently as and when we reported. Due to supply-demand issue across the country, some of the parts were missing when we moved in but the construction team was on top of the list and scheduled the services as and when parts became available for the installation.

Worst service ever, after my house close With a lot problems they never respond to me, the field manager just fk around, doesn’t do the job at all.

Construction managers are in trustworthy and the warranty department denies everything. No help. We have a half a million in an investment and was sold a Home that was incomplete with no working heater. Granite cracks and damaged shower and cabinets in the kitchen. We need someone who cares to make this right.

This process was entirely unacceptable and unprofessional. The construction manager changed several times, no communication, rushed process without the unit being complete and the people inside do not talk to one another other than sharing your confidential business. They try and make you feel like you have to use their title company and you absolutely do not, it’s the buyers (legal) choice. The title company was rude and inconsistent. The whole building process was a nightmare to say the least. This was not a happy or good experience but then you get so far into the process that it feels hopeless if you don’t move forward with it. The site Field manager was very responsive, mindful and efficient in his job. I was regularly frustrated with Pulte Mortgage, Whirlpool and the warranty team. I was given appliances that were broken, not the right products, many unanswered questions with countless delays, while still waiting on my kit for my microwave. I have had several of the appliances not working or broke before I moved in the serviced one which should have been replaced and they replaced everything else. Pulte Mortgage's loan officer was unknowledgeable about her role. She was making big mistakes and placing me at risk of not getting my property. She never did follow up and when she did, she assumed that I was going with them because they were going to match the competitor's rate. Customer Service was terrible, and I would not buy anything else with this organization. ... More

The whole process was smooth and excellent communication from our construction manager. A++

Our Southwestern Florida Home built by Pult in is Amazingly Solid, very pleased, however we worked with them so they could close us by the end of the year knowing we had a dozen items on the Punch (Still to do list). This is where they totally dropped the ball, very unresponsive,...Very disappointing.

The process from purchase to close was exemplary.

Overall the experience was fine with few problems, most, though not all of them were addressed quickly.
