The house looks good and it is beautiful. I just wish they would take the time to finish things right. Some walls are smooth, others aren’t. Minor details are missing here and there and it takes a while for them to get fixed. Were it not for those things, it would be five stars all around. The employees must be overwhelmed. So, either Pulte should slow down and focus on quality, or higher more people.

Be sure to put everything in black and white when you're negotiating the deal with Pulte. We were promised with small a upgrade by the sales rep but it never happened by closing, no explaination, no responds. Also I recommend hiring a third party home inspector to do a pre walk through inspection, it will save you a lot of time spotting items to repair.

For what we paid for the house, was expecting better finish quality. The lawn is not in great shape, one of the kitchen cabinet doors broke within the first month, the trim work is not neat, the master bath took 3 attempts to get the tile fixed and it is still mediocre, etc.

Our second Pulte home so we’ve been through this before. The sales and closing occurred nearly 12 months apart so plenty of time for us to become foggy on our choices and decisions. Everything turned out to fairly well. Reviews during construction seemed rushed and did not permit us to realize the corners that Pulte now cuts to keep costs down. The garage is only rough finished with fire tape. There are no lights of any kind in any closets. Some closets are so squeezed as to be useless. The finishes are rough and amateurish in key areas such as the front porch and enameling of baseplates. The quality of materials and workmanship is disappointing given the pricing of these homes. You would think for the money, you would receive "upgraded" items compared to the other builders. Upgrades are ridiculously expensive and when you do upgrade, the workmanship is sloppy (trimming not aligned, sloppy caulking, paint on everything; the carpets, faucets, countertops, windows, just to name a few). When asked to have things fixed during the walk-through, it wasn't any better. We're better off fixing everything ourselves. On the flipside, our building supervisor was amazing! If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have known a lot of information that should have been told to us by our sales rep. Very responsive and very trustworthy. ... More

Buying our dream home was supposed to be a joyful journey, but it turned into a stressful rollercoaster ride. Our experience, riddled with ups and downs, left us feeling both disappointed and hopeful. From the outset, our initial excitement was dampened by a less-than-ideal interaction with our salesperson. Their lack of transparency and communication left us feeling like we were in the dark throughout the process. It was a stark contrast to our expectations, and we found ourselves questioning our decision. In fact we would question his character as many things he said turned out to be false. However, amidst the turmoil, a ray of hope emerged in the form of our construction managers. Their dedication and professionalism shone brightly, helping to alleviate some of our concerns. Their attention to detail and willingness to address our concerns gave us a glimmer of hope that our dream home might yet be realized. We find ourselves hoping for the best. Home was purchased more than a year ago and half ago, took a long time to build and felt that since we didn’t live in the area home was left unfinished for longer than it should have been. Virtual walk thru failed miserably and after moving company is slow to respond to questions about paint and some other issues we had. Love river hall but need more attention to customer service and care.

It was not an overwhelmingly bad, nor amazingly good either. It was an ok experience. They have a very technical approach for everything which takes human aspect away. When they were delayed with construction because they had challenges they were happy with me because I was kind to them and praised me. But when I was 3 days away from end of my rental and they were still not done with finishes I saw no humanity in them to come to me and tell me that we are pushing closing ahead. So it hurts to see that they enjoyed my kindness to them but were not willing to show that to me in return.

Robb and Garrett were very responsive and very helpful. We would recommend both of them. Corey was misleading and frustrating. We would not recommend Corey. Overall we are happy with the purchase. We still have open items after our purchase.

Please take your time when doing a final walkthrough and do not rush. If more time is needed please submit in writing for the time. I missed more things that needed fixed than I realized. I suggest Pulte Homes use a better product in their showers. When sitting on the Master bathroom bench be careful because once the product is wet, you will start sliding. I will be installing a hand rail and sitting on a towel to prevent any mishaps.

I have built five custom homes before our rowhome and I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the build and the lack of high quality products in our million dollar home.

My first time buying a home and we chose to build from the ground up. I wish in the beginning process I could have been informed on certain things before my signing.

The overall buying experience, while the house was under construction was, acceptable, however, a few days before the closing, during our final walk-through, we encountered issues with different items showing damage, for example, the Jack and Jill bathroom tub, it had a visible crack in the front, and our construction manager sent someone to patch it up, we requested to have a new tub installed, but our request was ignored. We do not want to have a tub that is patched up. We want a new tub, because we bought a brand new home! To date, we haven’t heard back from him after several messages, no intention to get back to us. Not a good experience, who likes to be ignored? He responded initially, that he tried to get access to the home, but the house was locked. After that we didn’t hear back from him anymore. We also reached out, because we got a letter from Cape fear water management that there were signs of a significant leak on the home, we were out of town at the time, so we reached out to him again, to see if he could send someone to inspect the property, but he did not respond to us at all! I would like if somebody could please get back to us and advise when the tub will be fixed, and also our kitchen ”hood”, as well as all the other touch ups that were not addressed. Thank you! The plan and the layout of the home is one of the best in the market. However, the quality control of the execution wasn’t upto the standard you’d expect in an expensive home such as this. Tthere were several issues identified during the final walk through that the closing had to be pushed by a couple of days. So many minor issues with paining, drywall, flooring, caulking etc. had to be attended to during the first few days after moving.

When we moved in two of the ceiling lights in the kitchen were not working. It took about 4 weeks to get the electrician out. He repaired them but said that the electrical wires were never hooked up. We have globs of dried paint hanging down from the roof outside our master bath windows. We have been waiting now for 2 months for someone to come and scrape it off. The dry walls have many unsightly slice marks and areas that need scraping and smoothing. The landscaping has been dying due to lack of water. The landscaper came out and replaced the dead plants and now a tree and 7 other plants are dead for lack of water. ... More

Overall, I am happy with the quality of the house. However, the customer service of the builder is very very low. They will promise you the world to get you to buy the house and to have you to write a good review, but will drop contact and won't address anything they should have fixed once it is done.

The construction process went well. The managers of the job communicate effectively and do a great job of keeping us apprised of what is happening. Things happened as they described. That said, the final product leaves a lot to be desired. The trim carpenters and painters are not very good. Some trim pieces they used were obviously damaged. The final painting of the home needs a ton of rework.

We had a great experience with our sales agent and love our lot and floor plan but have been disappointed in the finish and trim of the home. Several of our level 5 cabinets have been cracked, paint chipped, gouged, exposed nail ends under office counter, trim work and paint is sloppy, very expensive hardwood floors are cracking and peeling. Warranty work has been very responsive and we hope to rectify the issues. We would not recommend choosing hardwood floors with Pulte, they were very expensive and despite controlling the humidity, only sweeping and damp cloth on any marks, we continue to see cracking and peeling, ... It feels like the house was rushed to be built and the quality of the work is not on par with the price paid for the house

After closing on the house during move in, we realized the floors upstairs were not level in several places. The builder sent in people to repair while we were trying to move in. The builder in charge of the repairs has been great in trying to resolve the issues. Ultimately, they waited to work after we left. When we went back after the repairs, the floors still have some irregularities. They say they will continue to level them. What is concerning, is the house should have never passed their inspection in the first place. It’s hard to believe that they never noticed the issues. I realize it’s cookie cutter, but Pulte should do better. There’s obviously not enough supervision with checking the work being done. I was considering building another home in their new development. Love my house and although a good journey, there bumps, unsettling surprises, delays, headaches and things that could have gone and could have been done better.

If asked "Would you recommend Pulte to a friend?" my answer would be "No." While many of the individuals I've interacted with while purchasing from Pulte have been helpful and pleasant, the overall process was neither enjoyable nor satisfying. Sales Process: 3/5 Build Process: 2/5 Warranty Process: 4/5 SALES: The sales rep was generally helpful and nice. I did find that it became much harder to get a hold of her AFTER we signed the initial contract. Overall, though, a decent experience. BUILDING: Though when we entered the contract we were told that closing should be able to happen within a couple of weeks. Instead, it was over a month. There was poor communication throughout that process and the opportunities to walk-through and blue tape the home were rushed. One of the major delays involved completely re-framing three windows in the main living area because the original framing was so bowed as to be unsafe. WARRANTY: Thankfully, our warranty rep has been very responsive and helpful. Which is EXCELLENT because there is a LOT on this house that needs warranty work. Almost every room has needed/will need warranty work, as well as the yard – we've had floor tiles replaced, grout refinished, counter enamel repaired, yard re-graded, and door frames adjusted – and that's not mentioning the work that has yet to be submitted: door latches not functioning, exterior doors not sealing, wall-paint flaking, nail-pops (and other settling issues), and on and on the list goes. Again, thankfully our warranty rep has been great to work with. BUT... if they had built the house right the first time through, most of these would not have been necessary and our buying process would have been much smoother. Pulte overall was ok but they did not work as a team between sales, builder and mortgage, and title. I was hoping that but having everything in one place the experience would be smoother but many times the staff would respite d that’s not my job .., it’s the other department job… while I understand each plays a different role the responses and willingness to help resolve or transfer calls within the organization should have been done with the customer in mind. I was purchasing my home from a distance and hopped by having everything under one company would have provided for a smoother transition in the process. In addition my home insurance, which I ordered through Pulte, was canceled for non-payment even though their title company sent them a check through escrow. Without these 2 men, the experience would continue to be a mess. Pulte is not a trustworthy company to be honest and you have to be on top of them at all times. These 2 men who are our construction team have been the buffer and the silver lining to the rest of what has happened. We were not given a pre foundation meeting we should have had due to yet another firing of a construction manager which seems to be rampant (our neighbor had 4!!) and without that meeting we had NO idea our home was going to A) be on a ski slope and B) be set so far back we lose have our yard. NONE of this was explained during that crucial meeting we were not given. Yet the Vice President of construction (we think that’s his title) who came out here literally was condescending and a real jerk to us when we were so upset about this. He just kept giving us the company line. The city of Westfield is also another story. They gave us a song and dance how they were “concerned” about our happiness and then talked out of 2 sides of their mouth when it really came down to it. We had heard prior the city was not “pro-homeowner” but this sealed the deal. Not the welcome we expected to a new city either. The house itself is too new to know what will and won’t happen. So far we have had some minor issues that the two men i mentioned have gone above and beyond to make sure they’re done right. But as far as Pulte itself? We’ve experienced both a production builder and a custom in the past we would not go this route again. Barely any choices except for shades gray or white on everything with one choice for cream or a weird unfinished brown. No choice on exterior doors or windows. No changes. Not any. So it’s not the dream home for the price we paid but things we can change. The Lot we cannot. If we recommended building to someone, it would not be this type of building as they have become too rote and rigid as “production” builders. But the attitude of what we believe was the VP if construction towards us has completely soured us during a brief meeting and his attitude towards us after. Could not recommend Pulte solely based on the experience of his take it or leave behavior. I’ve been in customer service for 27 years and I pay close attention to how I’m treated. These 2 men gave the BEST customer service and continue to. Pulte should be fully aware how amazing they are to their clients and their attention to detail.
