The overall finish of the house is poor , each window in the house is different size , the shower bathroom tiles are not straight ,

First time buying a new construction home. Built by Pulte. Process was all good except for the choices available at the design center. Fine details needs to be improved. Enough misalignment to makes you think about the qualiti control. If visible imperfections are noticed what about the those items not visible after dry walls.and paints have covered them?

When a homeowner pays in excess of 700-800 thousand dollars for their home, he/she should expect a home that is pretty much completed to standards. Rushing to finish homes when homeowners are waiting an average of 14-16 months and then expecting them to close when homes are not even properly cleaned after all the painting and construction, and issues are found everywhere is not something Pulte should be proud of.

I rate my new home buying and built experience with pulte as 3.2/5.0

As a first time home owner, the experience was new and exciting! Our sales person was thorough in letting us know our options when considering purchasing a town home and the different build outs available. The tour of the model units was thorough and gave me and my fiancé a good view of the space that worked for us. Ultimately, we chose the Greenwich layout, which provided the most space out of all the build outs. We decided to proceed with putting in an offer and the process started. When it came to funding process and getting approved for a mortgage, through Pulte, things did not go as smooth. Upon speaking with the coordinator, we were given clear instructions on what was required of us on our end to follow through. We complied with all the requested documents, statements, and unrelated accounts. The frustration set in when the EXACT numbers would not match up to the single dollar and a lot of the income was questioned, even after a thorough explanation on the source. The biggest hiccup was the change of an account, due to an unfortunate car break in where the account number to the bank was compromised. Upon that incident, the said account was closed and monies transferred to new account within same bank and same owner. With that explanation and proof of transfer, account closing, and account opening, the representative seemed to be confused, even with thorough explanation, and seemed frustrating to continue to explain ourselves. Unrelated accounts were continued to be brought up and we were at a point where we did not want to move forward with the purchase anymore, so much so that we did not care to lose the earnest monies of $73k. By far the most frustrating moments, even with proof of all monies. This begged us to question whether our information was secure or even going to the right place. We are glad that the phone communication was being recorded, so that upon the review, you can judge how clear we were in explaining everything that was asked of us, and still, have the representative not understand. We love our home but the trades all did a haphazard job in the house and lacked really finishing the job. Some walls not painted in closets, wrong color grout/caulk, crooked lights, drywall issues, etc. Be ready to GC your follow up work and expect lots of no shows

Amazing experience with everyone I interacted with, from the front office to project managers, loan officers, etc. However, at this price point, (over 600k), I had certain expectations for a home. Some of the standard/builder grade options were the same/less than my first new build (approximately 20 years ago). For example, I had a better shower/tub in my apartment than the stand tub/shower combo in my over half a million dollar home. In addition, some things just felt rushed. For example, there were a number of areas where paint hadn't been removed from the hard wood, paint dried but looked as though it was still dripping because of the way it dried...just small cosmetic things I didn't notice until after I moved in. ... they had me wait to purchase the house for 2 weeks so they could raise the price and i paid an extra 15,000. The club still is not quite done, pickle ball is ready but it is hot and the beaches are not safe and we have no pool yet.

The buying process was smooth with no issues. Construction management was awful when it came to the framing of the home; forcing a change in construction site management. However, once the those problems were corrected the final product is beautiful.

First let me say that the home is beautiful, and I believe it is definitely worth the price we paid for it. For the most part everyone we have worked with has been very nice and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the whole experience has been marred by post move-in issues with the house and poor responsiveness by our builder to address these issues like they claimed they would. It's nothing major. It's a bunch of small issues that have added up to be a huge headache. Drips of paint on the carpet, overspray on the banisters, holes next to a can light, crooked light switches, unpainted surfaces, nails from the tack strips coming through the carpet in places, etc. Most of these issues are so small that we didn't notice them till after we moved in. To be honest, none of it would bother me if we didn't have to ask the builder repeatedly to come take care of the issues the way they said they would. Ultimately, we requested to be contacted by our construction manager's supervisor and were told he would be in touch. He did not contact us. We finally resorted to creating a spreadsheet to track issues and shared it with our construction manager since it did not seem anyone from Pulte was keeping track of these issues and seeing them through to completion. We moved in five weeks ago and we are still dealing with all these little things. It has made what should have been a happy experience something we would rather just forget. ... More

Horrible experience. House was delivered after 2 years of signine and it felt like i learnt construction engineering in the process looking after everything at each step. Except for the last CM, we wouldn't even have closed in the 2 yrs. He is extremely detail oriented and focussed. He is Pultes chance for revival of their name.

My home took 13 months to complete and it wasn’t even complete! Pulte fired my project manager and gave me a new one 2 weeks before closing. The quality of work and attention to detail was horrible and the new project manager has done a wonderful job of making things right but the home took entirely too long to be built for there to be so many issues with the home.

We were on a list for building, somehow we were bypassed and lost onthe wait list. Did not get the facade we wanted to build or the lot we wanted due to being bypassed. I believe we paid more due to the longer than normal wait, 6 to 8 months.

We had a very good construction manager that finished the job. However, we went through 2 not so good managers that very not good communicators. Pulte builds a beautiful home, offers lots of upgrade options. Very disappointed with the number of cosmetic issues that we have to deal with after closing for the price point of the home that could have been taken care of prior. Now we have to deal with it over an extended period of time. We love the home, but the building process unless you are involved in a close relationship with the construction manager, can be disappointing. However, we would recommend Pulte to our friends. ... Very happy with the house we customized. It took us one 13 months to finally close it from signature to signature. Pulte team very friendly and helpful… until closing. After closing you get to deal with customer care, which is almost inexistant. Every touch up they promised to fix after closing are still pending (5 weeks after closing).

Overall, the experience was fair to good, but there are areas that left us underwhelmed. The team at the sales office was professional, responsive, and friendly. Their genuineness was refreshing and made making the purchase easy. They felt like they were genuinely advocates for us in the process, which was a definite plus. However, the volume of homes being completed simultaneously in our development meant that many items went unnoticed or things occurred that needed to be communicated but were not, which was frustrating. Frequently emails were responded to quickly, but then the action steps needed for resolution required a follow-up email or call on our part to set things in motion. Overall, Pulte uses an effective home-building process, and the people working for them seem genuine and honest. However, because their business is based on the volume of homes they build, you may get a different quality control or attention to detail than you might expect when purchasing a home at this price range. ... New home buyers must watch closely at each stage of the construction and third party inspection is a must. Make sure all issues are fixed before closing if they be ready for months and months of follow up. Slightly over priced so try to get discounts or credits before you close.

Poor after sale service. Not a good experience of buying a house.

Long delay in home completion; we did many BNB's. 3 + Months. Sales and marketing staff, mostly Daniella, are great. Orientation was good. Few defects found in the home. Project requests a problem; designated contact person appeared to be motivated for personal reasons. Repair request was addressed quickly.

It was ok. Could have been better but wasn’t the worse experience.

I purchased the home through online search. Though some aspects of the buying is satisfactory I still felt that Pulte has not lived up to expectations in this community.

We have not moved in yet but so far I've had so many small issues that has not been resolved yet. Workmanship on the carpet installation is terrible. Cabinets and other upgrades are still missing. Communication is obviously missing.

My sales person was great. Same as the upgrade center contact. The builder manager seems to be either overwhelmed or in an another planet (not responsive at all unless you press to talk to his boss). The warranty contact for now has been up to the task
