Slow turnaround for many homes unfinished areas

Pulte does not seem to care about their customers once the contract is signed and they REALLY don’t seem to care after the sale of the home is complete. I understand that there have been unforseeable delays due to shipping issues and labor shortages. However, that does not excuse the times that we have caught their staff blatantly lying to us or more often than that, just refusing to respond to our inquiries or concerns timely. There is no excuse for not replying to an email. When they actually do reply, we’re always told that “we’re aware of your issue, it’s on the list” with no follow-up until a month later when we inquire again. Rinse and repeat. Unfortunately our experience with Pulte was not the best. We went through 2 field managers Mike and Steve who were not responsive at all and told us the wrong closing date and then ended up moving on from Pulte one right after the other. The good news here is that it brought in Jeremy who has been extremely helpful. We were told many of the things that needed to be completed on the house would be done after closing and to just close and get in and it will be addressed 1 week before and 2 weeks after. However there were many things that needed fixed in our final walkthrough and here we are 3 months moved in and barely anything has been addressed. At this point I am not very confident that the issues will be fixed at all. I feel like we were put at the bottom of the list because we were not constantly griping. In order to get anything done you have to be very persistent and hold their hand. We love our house but the whole experience leaves a lot to be desired. ... More

I had a good experience during the entire experience. The building process took longer than normal because of Covid but I always got my questions answered in a timely manner. I'd tell anybody to also get their mortgage through Pulte because that was a smooth process. I heard horror stories of people having trouble at closing but no issues at all. I'd recommend Pulte to anybody looking for a nice home with people who are considered with your happiness.

You do not have a builder, you have a scheduler.

Overall smooth process from initial contact through closing. I would recommend Pulte Homes . Only concern is with some of the sub contractors paying a little more attention to the detail in each portion of the building process.

The buying process went OK Watching the progress of the build was very interesting How ever the final steps went wrong and we were delayed moving in this was terrible.

Everyone we've encountered has been professional, intelligent, and kind. The overall process of working with Pulte - from the first day we toured a model home to the day we got the keys - was a great experience.

Nathan our Home Building leader kept us well informed with the house even though we were away struggling with time differences. Really happy how the house came together and closed on time. Nothing but good things to say about the job they did with everything running smoothly.

Ed was an awesome guy to work with! Very attentive to detail and responsive to any issues/phone calls. Overall a great experience with Ed.

Quality of work is poor and rushed and sloppy

Working with the Field Manager was great. I think the quality of workmanship is not so great. I feel the home was completed as quickly as possible. They did not take the time to do the trim work. Nail holes are sticking out or rough. Had to seal my own grout behind the stove and master shower. We were told they use good insulation, but the home has a chill to it. Overall we love the home and the layout is great.

the home quality is terrible

The final product is poor quality. Bad craftsmanship throughout the entire home. They rushed through the build it it shows. We have structural issues as well as "cosmetic" issues. It seems the structural issues would not have been brought to our attention by our construction manager and WE had to bring these to his attention. So it seems they knew about the issues but wasn't going to tell us. My worry is what else was rushed through during the build that we cannot see. We were turned away originally in March only to have our contract accepted in May with a huge price increase. The price increase was marketed on a higher quality home since it is now "Pulte" and not Centex anymore. I would be afraid to see what the Centex product was if this is the better quality home. We are very disappointed overall. To be fair Pulte is attempting to address our issues, we will see how that ultimately goes. ... More

They need to be more proactive after you buy your home.

Easy and high quality customer service

For the amount paid, I think they could have done a better job with the finishing details and better inspections of unfinished work or damaged work.

He was super communitive and informed us without fault

Mediocre, unprofessional and make promises they later ignore and never deliver on.

Horrible experience, zero customer service, no pride in their work, sloppy, constant mistakes that they never fixed, did not care about the customer at all, just throwing up the house as fast as possible with unqualified workers.

Could have been better in the mortgage application. Need to communicate effectively re temporary use of range hood. Different brand as specified on the contract.
