We had a terrible time fighting with Pulte about weather proofing issues before windows were put in. The house was filthy when we moved in, and I’m tired of fighting to have things corrected that weren’t done correctly the first time.

It’s difficult to find new construction in the area and so we jumped at the opportunity as we kept on getting outbid for resale homes. The sales rep, Eddy, was a bit aggressive and not very warm, but we had a fantastic experience with Dorian/Maxx, our construction managers. They were extremely responsive and updated during each building phase. At the final walkthrough, we did hire a third party inspector for peace of mind, and they couldn’t find any issues. Buyer BEWARE! My advice is DO NOT purchase a home built by Pulte. We recently did and regret our choice. Qualified carpenters do not do the construction on interior or exterior. Our home should be totally redone. Interior trim not sanded prior to paint, particle board used as trim rather than wood. Exterior siding applied over damaged frame, attic trusses not installed properly, just for starters

Numerous Quality Issues

Our home had many delays which I understand is out of the builder’s control to a certain extent. But the quality of the build is sub par - there were many issues we found at our closing walk-through that took months to be addressed. Also, some of the materials, such as the paint, are very low quality. Our appliances have dents in them and most of the sod laid in the yard was dead when they laid it. Communication from the builder is not at an acceptable level. I will never build a Pulte house again and would not recommend anyone else.

First the walls are so thin that you can hear any conversation from one room to the other with the doors closed. Second, the finishing touches are simply the worst. Third, a large amount of things have to be redone, it never ends. After living at the house for some time now things are still trying to be corrected.

Lack of professional service from issues identified after move in. My major issue is with the sink that is not long enough and when washing hand or dishes excessive water gets on the counter. The advise given is that to pull the hose down with one hand and wash with the other. Incredible! How do I do that when I need both hands to wash hands and dishes! Terrible service. I asked for follow up from manager and was told “you do it”. Terrible!!!!

Very informative. For quality and workmanship, we found electrical issues on ceiling electrical system that always have power for ceiling fans wiring even switch is turn off (it was corrected). No power above the island ceiling electrical lighting & Job request has been submitted to fix. Still awaiting dates on delivery of the fridge unit, bar cooler unit and selected garage door.

We have a breaker that shuts off from doing laundry in a standard washer / dryer. Electrician came out and said nothing I can do ? WHAT ?? Broken roof tiles , no response, holes in block walls, no response yet, a couple other minor issues, no response yet. You spend over 700,000$ you expect the builder to respond quickly on issues on your brand new home.

Pulte has two great responsive Field Managers, Brandon & Alex, they were there to correct and still correct issues. Know exactly what you want and get want you want so when your home when it is completed, you'll enjoy. If Pulte doesn't have something you really want, don't settle, get it elsewhere so you can enjoy your home when you move in.
