They need to be more proactive after you buy your home.

Everyone has been very nice and Daniel has always been helpful and has responded to our questions and issues in a timely manner. Our complaints are with the quality of finish work and painting that leave a lot to be desired. We know everyone is busy and on time schedules but this is the last home we planned to buy and really didn't want "projects" when it was "move-in ready", plus we invested a lot of money to buy the home! Dealing with paperwork online (with people in Colorado) was confusing for us... we are not up with modern technology and we were often very frustrated with the process. We love South Carolina and Oakfield had great eye appeal as we drove through the development. We felt it checked our boxes. However, the quality of the built is mediocre at best and we feel the cost of the house was way too expensive for the workmanship/quality that was delivered. Unfortunately, we feel we will have many repairs to make along the way. They have already begun.

Of all the homes builders at Rocking K, we felt that PULTE was the best choice.

Overall happy with the build quality and materials, but very unhappy that I have been waiting over 5 months for a window which was broken. This is very poor performance from Pulte.

For now the only thing that is bothering me is the front door. The black paint is coming off since day one and now it’s an eyesore. Apparently this can’t be fixed till spring … which is kinda absurd as we have to live with this eyesore till spring !

Service getting delayed for seat installation

Everything is comfortable and good conditions.

Unable to address simple issues like Shower door installation, laundry room door even after 6 weeks of closing is quite frustrating. The issues raised during final walk through stays pending for 6 weeks and no response / feedback from the construction team to several emails.

Accessibility is good for this community but I see few hiccups during entire process especially loan process with pulte. Home built quickly was not so good. I don’t like bidding concept which is adding more money to the lot and its worthless.

Effective communication between me and the builder

Pulte need to put more attention in the details, this are not cheap home they need to have luxury finishes

Everything was great; however the communication between our sales manager and project manager was lacking. That could be much improved.

Everything for administrative work went smoothly. However, when it comes to building the house, seems pretty fasted work and the quality wasn’t properly looked at. But the house was great.

The overall buying experience was great

This was our first experience building a home and overall, we are happy with our home and believe Pulte built us a solid home. But, the devil is in the details. From the day the foundation was dug to actual closing, our estimated closing date was delayed 6 weeks. Pulte did their best to prepare us for this inevitability because of the current conditions on materials and trades, but it was still extremely frustrating. A week after they committed to a closing date, they pushed it back another 8 days which meant we had to reschedule deliveries and utilities. Throughout the build we noted a few issues, like poor quality of framing lumber (lots of warped boards, bark, splits, and just overall bad workmanship of the pre-fabricated walls. Then, our framing was rained on for a month straight with no roof, leaving all of our interior lumber discolored. Electrical and plumbing workmanship was excellent. Final finishing was a mixed bag - in general the drywall and paint were done well but there were some pretty glaring issues we were surprised to see on final walkthrough. Tile work was sloppy but by the time it was done there was no time to fix. This was the biggest disappointment for us, especially based on how much it cost to get subway tile in our main bathroom. Prices for options like upgraded hardware, lighting, ceiling fan boxes, bathrooms, etc. were generally reasonable but they add up quickly - why aren’t ceiling fans prewired in every bedroom on a home whose base cost is ~$450k? That said, the sales associate was extremely helpful in walking us through options and costs so we had no surprises when it was time to pick out specific finish colors and options. I am not happy with the response of punch list items it is taking to long and no one responds to emails.

Quality home but final walkthrough issues still not resolved over a month after closing

The sales person and build manager were amazing. The trades workin hon my house were subpar.
