Our original contract showed we would be in the house within 6 months and it was just about a year before we finally closed. As for workmanship, we feel there is a lot of improvement needed. Exterior concrete work is poorly done, we had issues with our cabinets, the wrong breaker was put in for our garbage disposal & wires were lose, we had issues getting our internet & cable done correctly, countertop had to be replaced due to staining on it, sheet rock was cut wrong on a corner yet it was left & painted over and grouting around bathtub not done correctly. Generally we are happy with our new home. There were issues with wrong roof trusses, which needed to be modified, and caused significant delays. We should have asked more questions in the design phase, as we made assumptions that caused disappointments.

Didn’t not have a good experience with pulte mortgage, sales, design center, or the builder. We ended up using our own mortgage company because there were so many issues with pulte mortgage. We had a few didn’t issues during the building process. Once the home was completed it turn out very nice but only because we stay on the builder throughout the process. If had not been for the area and the community we probably would have cancelled our contract early in the process.

The experience of buying this home was okay. Yes beautiful house and location BUT they were extremely late. They kept pushing the closing date back and back and at the same time the interest rates were going up and up. That of course did not benefit us at all. The people that showed us the final result, Mark was awesome, very nice guy. he was very helpful.

Our house is great but we as we started living in it, we started to notice the poor paintwork. We called out many items during our walk-throughs and they were either not done or they were done very poorly. We also noticed the floors are chipped in certain areas and our garage door is damaged.

Let me start by saying the Pulte employees attached to the Hawthorne development have been professional and great to work with. Robb, the Community realtor, was amazing! I know this neighborhood experienced a lot of vendor issues for the construction manager while my home was being built and this was my first new construction home but I am a bit shocked at the workmanship. I am not satisfied with my new home. I paid more than half a million dollars for such poor quality. The cheapest paint was used, one closet has been repaired and I just submitted photos for a second closet. The kitchen faucet has to be replaced, and the arch leaving the master bedroom leading into the master bathroom is crooked. The casing broke off of the main bathroom door. How did you not level that off. I just bought this home 8/22. Every day I look to see what is going to break next.

We have had several issues with our home and Shane has been extremely responsive and willing to try to make it right. Unfortunately, our microwave has never worked, and it has been 60 days and Kitchen Aide has still not resolved the issue, despite two trips to repair. We expect a new home wo have everything work and that it should be replaced and not fixed. We have also had several issues with attic doors that needed replacement. We love our new home and most of the process was very smooth. The sales rep and design center were wonderful. However, our construction manager was unresponsive at times and is yet to fix any of our post-move-in punch items. We would buy again with Pulte but would voice our concerns louder and earlier if we ended up with a poor construction manager again.

Overall the pre purchase, keeping us informed on timely manner, meeting deadlines, closing all worked great. Materials quality also seems to be good, but it is just the beginning. Post warranty attention needs improvement, need the team to share some ETAs or timelines which is missing. All homes do have some issues to fix after we get in which is normal but attending to it and giving ETAs needs improvement.

My Pulte home experience after one and a half month of ownership

We struggled with turning on some essential utilities such as Internet, Gas, problem with dish washer. We still have major issues with sprinkler system leaks that wasted thousand of gallons of water, a front window does not shut, no hot water to our laundry machine. It is difficult to contact Pulte home warranty team. However, the house itself is pretty solid against IAn storm, just 2 of our roof ridges were blown and a few minor items outside the house.

Overall, it was a decent experience. Mistakes were made, and we had to catch some of them ourselves. So, it is not a worry-free or hands-off building process. You do need to stay more engaged and provide more oversight than I had anticipated. Some communications can get dropped or take several days to get a response. So, be prepared to wait or do several follow-ups. Other than that, things turned out fine and there are no major issues with the house at this point.

We had a great construction manager…at the end of the build. The first one we had was not do great. We did not feel he was aware of what was going on during construction, rarely emailed updates and when we did get them we got one sentence. After he left and we were assigned someone who actually cared about the process, things looked much better but we were at the end when this happened. Nate is top notch as a construction manager. Pulte is lucky to have him

As a homebuyer from out of state, Pulte Homes made the experience enjoyable. From the constant updates from sales rep, to the knowledgeable design center designer, to working with the mortgage was a 5 star experience. The production side of the business was a 3 to 4 star experience. Weekly updates were provided, but I still have some items remaining from closing. There is a plan in place so I will reserve comment until delivery. Also better project management of subs would be my only recommendation. Really good product for track construction almost similar to the stick building model.

Make sure all open items are completed before closing. My home closing was 8/31/22 and closet doors were not painted. Closet doors were taken out to be painted and still have not been returned. Bigger issue, AT&T can not hookup my Internet because of missing underground cable feeding my house. AT&T blames builder and builder blames AT&T. In any case it's been 37 days and still no internet service due to missing cable. This is unacceptable, and there is no other service provider available.

Loved the experience I had with the sale folks (Myniesh!). Unfortunately, had issues with upgraded cabinetry (they don't come with handles??), this is despite the design center person telling us that it came in brush nickel, and there were no options for chrome. Issues with one of the outlet circuit breaker tripping. The process was smooth up until after sale. A few issues with quality appeared in the 30 days after move in that did not present during the final walkthrough (all relatively minor) but the builder was extremely unresponsive about them.
