I had very bad experience with Pulte. This is our first time with Pulte and we had other builders before. When we first went to the tour, the sales rep told us there were a couple lots releasing and we can put offers. He was selling us the house we bought. He said this lot has the biggest side yard and best view. We put an offer and got the house. When we came to do final walk through, the biggest yard was gone. Our side yard is the same as other lots. What is worse is that our front yard is smaller than others! When our realtor connected to the sales rep, he said he never talked those and we signed floor plan. We went back to the documents we signed. There was only floor plan and never mentioned how big is the yard. Sales rep just mentioned the value of the house already went up compared to what we have right now and we should just buy it. We can't move back as our loan is approved and we will lose the deposit if we give up. We had to move on. How bad experience we had. ... More

It was a great experienced from start until we moved in to our new home. We are totally satisfied, they did a great job and our expectations were met. I highly recommend them. Thank you.

Our construction manager Mike wasn’t very communicative throughout the process on giving us updates to the build. We drove by the lot daily to check up on progress ourselves. Many items on our final walk through were left unfinished, there’s a stain on the new carpet in one of the bedrooms that has been there since before closing. Our windows don’t latch properly and I still have not heard back from Mike when the tradesmen is scheduled to come by. This is a safety issue, overall not very satisfied with the customer service. I’ve heard from other homeowners in the community that they had a 30 day walk through. We’re past 30 days and we haven’t received any correspondence regarding said walk through. Overall our experience was good. Very difficult time to be building a house during the pandemic and supply chain shortages, but overall things were pretty good!

From my first meeting with my sales rep Kae to my closing day meeting with my builder Bob, I felt well informed about the whole process from buying the lot to getting my keys.

Overall, our experience with Pulte was decent-to-good. The home and feature selection process was easy and informational. We did have delays in supplies (prolonged closing by 4+ months), which was frustrating, but the communication was frequent and transparent throughout the delays. We would have appreciated some sort of concession in price/compensation, but that was never offered. Our construction liaison also transitioned halfway through the project, which provided some anxiety, but our new liaison did a great job picking up where the old one left off. During our final walk-through, we were able to point out a lot of the inefficiencies with the house, which got fixed for the most part, but there are still some issues. Our kitchen cabinets are slightly slanted and some of the bathroom counter drawers don’t remain shut. Also, some of the wood around the counter space is damaged, which is frustrating for a brand new house. Finally, our bathroom mirrors, closet shelving and toilet paper holders were delayed by about 3 months. ... More

We do love our new home but have been repeatedly blown off when we’ve asked for things to be completed or fixed in the first 60 days of owning. The actual interactions with Pulte employees have been very respectful and extremely courteous. We know their hands are tied in most circumstances. Our issue is that Pulte has promised things they cannot deliver and all we’ve been told is “we’re working on it”. No compensation offered. It’s completely unacceptable and if we had to do it again, we wouldn’t have signed the escrow paperwork until everything was done. Only proceed with Pulte if you have unlimited time and patience

The cheapest materials they can be and the worst workmanship it can be on top of sloppy work without any thoughts in mind. Customer service is so bad as well as we are 3 month on with punch list items for repairs still pending.

Excellent customer service throughout the entire buying process!

This home buying process was a challenge for me. The Field Manager and Sales Rep. are two of the greatest people within this field. As a first time single home buyer, they both made me feel comfortable and answered my questions along the way also explaining the difference in some of the options I chose.

Not a bad experience. Two things we have learned from this experience. 1. Check all options during de building process. Make sure the selection and material a correct, you have to see them in person. We chose to upgrade a zero-VOC paint. The field manager told us the paint is what we choose during the building process, but on the closing day, we found out that it is not the case, they used a different paint with the same color. You have to see the material in person to be sure, do not trust what they say in the email. 2. Make sure all issues are fixed before closing. We were told they will fix exterior issues we found in the inspection after 1 week of closing. But no one showed up after 1 month and the response becomes extremely slow. It seems everything is to be blamed on Covid. But the simple fact is that they like all the builders want to be at the top, and they really could care less about what we want. The sales team was really nice and very knowledgeable with regards to their product. then we got to to work with their mortgage company who was spot on very helpful. Then it came to the building of the home. At one time we thought that the builder offered a good quality product. Our overall experience and confidence of this builder is really quite low not what we initially thought.. They continue to push back on 4 major issues we have in our NEW home (ie….cannot get materials, repairs to damaged countertop and more) I compare it to when buying a NEW car…there are 4 wheels and tires on a car and one wheel is damaged and too small, they fix it, but Pulte seems to think to think that the damage to the material has been repaired and try to tell me that it is with-in code. They have have such poor management of their homes and their trades as they have no one to oversee the work…again its not our fault that they have over committed and under delivered. What you see in the models (wrong cabinets for instance) is not what you are getting…no pride no workmanship. Really sad! ... More

Communication is key in the new construction process. Unforeseen delays, setbacks, mistakes, and misinformation hamper the relationship between buyer and builder. Weekly email updates, a phone call when there's a problem, and a communication assistant supporting everyone would help build trust in the product and the professionals responsible for delivering.
