It was our first time building a home. Alex was very helpful in helping us understand our options up front. She and Steve kept us updated throughout the entire process. The team worked hard to make sure our home was as we expected it at closing!

Though I have some disappointments in options provided during design selection, I am happy about workmanship and build quality of my home built by Pulte. Heart full thanks from everyone in my family to Pulte.

Very important to have proper expectations, that workmanship/quality is very average. You will find many eyesore or things that you think should be done better, but you will get told that it's within the "company standards/tolerances/guidelines" so thats just the way it is. Examples are, uneven painting/trim, paint on trim, poor carpet installation, lots of touch up work left for you to find, asymmetrical stairs, asymmetrical shower hardware. Just various things you'll find in the home where you can tell things were done very quickly and slapped together to meet a corporate deadline. I've submitted many of these items to Pulte and I'm waiting to see how they respond so my review could change. However, it is important to have the expectation that if you are a person who cares for details, that you will have to spend a good chunk of money fixing many of these items on you own, which many people wouldn't expect when buying a brand new house. ... From the beginning, things started off bad, with the realtor refusing to allow us to have our own realtor; because she is the one who secured the deal. Realtor kept advising me to go month to month on my apartment lease; which cost me thousands of dollars. Realtor kept sending (3x) the wrong construction plans to the city so numerous delays. Construction Manager did everything half-heartedly. Our home had a Guest Suite, sort of like a mother-in law suite which is supposed to have its own thermostat control for the heat and air conditioning; they messed up on that too. Then before close they left a mote around our house as a water catching pond. The carpet was thrown in on top of debri. We closed on our home to have electrical surges everyday; the power would trip several times a day on a daily basis . The city electrical inspector came out; and made recommendations; however it was like pulling teeth to get the issues resolved. On top of that, we were also experiencing a methane gas smell. The builders were great the house was really well built

Have had a great experience buying our home with Pulte. They pay attention to detail and worked with us to get exactly what we wanted and needed.

The Pulte staff has responded to discussing the issues with us but has been not quite useful in promptly resolving these issues.

Great overall experience with Pulte

Best to be on site and monitor their progress personally and question why sometimes there was a lack of progress causing delays to occur that could of and should have been prevented if a timeline check list had been to monitor what critical paths have to be followed to remain on track to the completion date that was established when the project started.

You can definitely tell there is a labor shortage, as some of the work completed on our home could have been done better by us. We closed with some issues identified and documented for resolution, and over a month later, they are not resolved. With some of the materials and craftsmanship, we just can’t believe that’s what you get for the price paid.

Not a "quality home" as advertised. When you ask something to be done after closing, they will kick the bucket around. Be really careful with Pulte Mortgage.

I have to say it was a great experience from the start. Due to the pandemic we could not visit the location so everything was done online or via phone call. We just closed on the property and happy to say that all went smooth!

Materials in the house are low grade quality. Limited ability to customize, no pride in craftsmanship re: the finishing work. Poor follow up re: problems. Have to track down management to get things accomplished. Would not recommend Pulte.

Overall a wonderful home for our retirement. We would like to see a little more responsiveness the finishing touches to our home, but we love the home overall.

The Process took longer than expected and we had some unforeseen issues at the beginning of our journey but overall the experience was well worth it.

Just follow up as often as you can. Not very responsive to just one request

Jennifer was great. Quality? One example, there is a hole in the wall beside a switch plate. I could go on.

Took over a year to build. Poor communication. Poor quality materials. There were rodents in the ceiling upon moving in. Slow and useless responses. No accountability.

Good experience, fast at responding

Anything that we did not spot during our walk through we can email Pulte and within a few days we have a scheduled appt with that tradesman.

Pulte office staff were responsible for an awful and completely unreasonable buying experience. If not for the value and location of the home I would have chosen to go with another company.

We had a very smooth process from beginning to the end. Kelly was our sales person and was very patient and assisted us along the way to the end. Mike was our project manager and he kept us informed every stood the way. To see our home built from ground is something we will always treasure. Our home was finished and beautiful.

I think I had the best on-site sales counselor that there is, thank you Alex! She was always prompt to answer questions and I felt like her answers where genuine and truthful. The building supervisor was also great and has answered any questions I had about the house even after closing. Dealing with Steve and Alex made this stressful process so much easier. I am a bit disappointed with some of the craftmanship, many of the doors and frames were damaged (lots of carpentry issues) and the paint job was terrible. Globs of paint, visible streaks, uneven shelves, crooked door frames, miss aligned trim etc. its pretty bad and I plan to talk with the warranty team about this. I emailed and called (left a message) the warranty team last week with some other issues, nothing emergent, but I still haven't heard from anyone, so that's a little frustrating. Overall, I have a beautiful home, I'm happy, and I expect that the warranty team will hold up their end and fix any quality issues that are found over the next year. ... More
