I loved working with my sales agent. He was and continues to be supportive through the process. This is my second Pulte home. I also work well with my construction manager who is responsive to any issues I have. My disappointment is in some of the fine details and some of the issues I'm having post close. There is a reason why I bought a new home and it was so I wouldn't have to fix anything. Turn-key. This will be my last time buying or referring to buy a Pulte home. This is my third home and the most expensive one. Quality is down, mostly the finishes of the house. All the hardwood work in the house, door frames, ceileing molding, door finished is so bad that I will need to hire my own carpenter. I don’t see Pulte fixing all the issues

Material used vs price of home was disappointing. But seems to be the Pulte way. I never got the opportunity to interact with the builder until I closed on the house. I submitted a "punch list" over two weeks ago and only one item has been addressed. My last Pulte home. Sell 1st, customer service 2nd.

List of defective items was ignored after walkthrough. Scheduled repairs are finally being made on their 8 hour windows convenience only. Nothing was done while house was empty and easily accessible, regardless of the promises made.

The finish work is pretty horrendous, even after the last two walk arounds. Dents, scratches, holes, cracks, paint drippings, mud drippings (not sanded yet painted over) in all the walls throughout the home, trim pieces damaged, sprinkler system damage, entry doors paint chipped, nails and debris left on roof, caulk grout cracking in bathrooms and window edges and kitchen, and more. Basically zero attention to detail. One can only hope that the rest of the work inside the walls during rough/plumbing/electrical was done by workers which take a lot more pride in the work they do.

The process of buying a home directly from Pulte and their subsidiaries is siloed process that creates headaches for buyers and finger pointing amongst the Pulte group. The only bright spot in their operation was our construction manager Adam. We started off our process with Steve the salesman. He showed us the model and multiple properties which was pleasant. Unhappy with the process and home price. The price of the last 5 available homes went down 20K in a week after we signed the contract for our home, which was totally unfair. I was negotiating with Sales Consultant and management to reduce the price of my home for almost a month and i don't understand why they did not consider my request if they have a plan to reduce the price. Also they say we go by contract but they wont follow the contract, only buyer need to follow the contract.

Our loan officer, Christina's communication experience was terrible. She only emailed us, or answered incoming questions she never gave us knowledge of the market or programs that might best suit our needs or goals, pre empted any sort of financial goals and I will never refer a buyer to Pulte Mortgage for that alone. As Pulte is a very large company, the quality and professionalism differ per department. The sales department did a great job of showcasing and promising services, but as soon as the contract was signed, they let us hanging. The builders did a good job and we had great relationships with the construction managers. The worst experience we had was with Pulte Mortgage. The house closing was scheduled even though I was out of the country and unable to do a walk-through with the builders. Pulte was not flexible on the closing schedule. Once I returned and had the walk-through, closing, financial portion had already been completed and now finishing the punchlist on problems With the home remain on resolved after several weeks. The home we moved into has a lot of issues that could be avoided with some extra care during construction of the home. We found several floor tiles cracked or chipped. We also found, after being in the house for a month, that good workmanship was lacking in many cases: painting spills and misses, door weathstripping ripped, cracked pavers with a lack of paver sand and lanaii that should have been cleaned. We have purchased four tract homes in the past 25 years. This purchase and closing process went well but the finished product is not what we expected or were assured We were unable to have the house inspected by an independent inspector prior to closing for several reasons. In any event, our post-closing inspection revealed issues of sloppy quality control. We have an extensive punch list. We are disappointed and would not buy a Pulte home again (this is our second). We will not recommend Pulte to others.

Kitchen cabinets (dark blue) show lines and are not contructed properly. The contractor agreed to replace a door and to date (six weeks) this has not happened. A dent was noted on the microwave door and this was agreed to be replaced at time of closing and this has not been completed. From the initial walk-through we explained the handrail did not match what was in the showroom and just by looking at it, you could see it was poorly installed. We paid 17k for this “upgrade” and it has yet to be fixed. Each trade says doing this or doing that is someone else’s responsibility. Pulte will build you a better and more efficient home than most home builders. However, I am upset with Pulte’s quality control. There have been numerous imperfections with my build that required or require rework. I love the location and the house. But I have had issues. At the walk-through, I fully expected to find many cosmetic issues but I found disappointing, larger issues.
