Not looking good at this point. Pulte still has a chance to improve my situation.

The designs are great however construction phase was a challenge.

the floors and walls in our front hallway and laundry room were ripped up due to water leak and have remained unfinished for almost a month.

They cheap out on good Materials. Like paint , siding , concrete driveways crack ,and the sod they use is terrible

We love our home, but for the price we paid and upgrade we paid for the orange peel walls, we are highly disappointed with the quality. You can see tape lines throughout the entire home and once we painted the walls ourselves, it was even more noticeable. You can easily see mistakes made to the drywall that was either patched up pretty crappy or not at all. Our issues still have not been resolved with other problems we reported a month ago.

entire bricks, big rocks, and lots of gravel are left underneath the sod. the paint is the cheapest they can get. they are inflexible the exterior caulking looks like a 5 year old did it the concrete entrance way to the front door is an embarrassment have never bought a house with not one towel bar in it

We closed escrow on 5/10 and have not yet moved in (today is 7/11). In the 8 weeks of availability for the walk thru items to be completed, they are not. This is not an impressive way to build trust with customers. We are less than impressed.

The overall experience was as expected and overall positive. One must also keep in mind that these homes are mass produced homes. I also want to caveat that i lived less then a mile from the site, so i was able to stop by and view the progress daily. So let me start; there were a 2 times when we wanted a minor change such as outlets moved 3ft in one direction or switch flipped so it would be on the outside wall vice the inside wall, each instance there was hesitation from the site manager, and cited some ridiculous reasons that i decided to do it myself when we moved in as they were simple modifications. it just seemed lazy, and would not have affected electrical inspections as the outlets remained 3ft apart as per code. Workmanship varied on the subcontractor used. Some took pride in their work while others you could tell were stretched thin and just got in did the bare minimum of the job and got out (these mostly appeared to be those whose work was not completely covered by the warranties) such as the landscape contractor. My sprinkler system was not installed properly and being that it was not part of the structure, not covered by the Pulte warranty and when I contacted the contractor, he and I quote "what do you want me to do about it." The discrepancies were pointed out during the final walk through, which took place 3 days prior to closing, once we closed the site manager treated us as out of site out of mind and i had to work through the warranty portal. which in some ways was better as i was contacted via email and had a paper trail. The overall experience is four stars as the process was as explained from the onset. we did receive periodic updates on the progress as indicated at the onset. Like i said my issues were mostly with the landscaping contractor and the feeling of being given an unfinished home by our site manager, who failed to follow up on several of the discrepancies pointed out during our final walk through. ... Many issues that we brought to Steve’s attention (field manager) during final walk through are not addressed even after moving to new home and it’s been 2 months. Field manager doesn’t pick the call from the time you get the keys and won’t handle issues in timely fashion. We had great experience with Toll Brothers home we bought back in 2017, Pulte has to catch up!!! Poor in responding to issues in timely manner. Have to wait a month atleast to get something working!!!

I will never build with Pulte again or during a pandemic

I had issues with my new townhouse. Air conditioner did not work. Washer water was turned off. Refrigerator water did not work. It took weeks for someone to figure out there was air in the line. There are a ton cosmetic issues. For example, who paints on the wall switches? All the hardware has been painted around. Even the bathroom towel racks. They should have been installed after painting. There are random holes in my siding, because the hand rails were installed crooked and then were moved and holes not filled in. This is just a few issues.

Nice, end product, but follow-up to fix build issues, not so much.

Pulte in Indiana builds some nice homes and we had a good experience with sales and Mortgage folks. Due to the skyrocketing home prices and Pulte trying to sell as much as humanly possible to get money, their workmanship went down quite a bit. Along with high turnover rates in their own employees on the construction side, it’s becoming a bit of a nightmare. If your planning to buy a pulte home, I would still recommend but understand you need a high level of due diligence and its best to get all their work double checked by outside parties.

Building process went well, however the workmanship when the home was closed was unacceptable. There was a cut out on the wall, caulking missing in places, areas not painted.

A complete lack of quality control

Finishing of the house was not good. Have issues with the door installation and floor. The floor plan is horrible we paid around 11K. I didn’t feel it’s worth half a million

Great at first. Closing rushed and bad finishing and cleaning of home. In 6 weeks we have submitted over 30 work orders for warranty repairs.

With Pulte you get a mixed bag. Overall the people we’ve worked with directly were conscientious and well intentioned and responsive to our questions and requests. The finish workmanship detail has been very poor, especially with regard to painting (front door entry, spiral staircase, front exterior) and front brick work. Very sloppy on detail. I’m thinking, “I just paid what I paid and this is what I got?”. Uggghhh! I heard about Pulte Build Quality, but I guess it didn’t include these things. It’s not like anyone from Pulte has come to me and said, “we agree this is sloppy and we can do better. we’re going to make this right”. Maybe someone will read this that cares and has the time to follow up. ... More

Jimmy did a great job communicating. Kept me informed. My main issue is the the cost of upgrades. I know there is a mark up but the prices are 10x.

We closed on our new home on 1/28/2021. Entered on 1st Feb,2021. We reported our dishwasher was not working and pulte seems to have know there was an issue with our dishwasher but they hid from us during closing because the red horse that supplies water to dishwasher was shut off. When we turned it on the water flooded on floor under the kitchen cabinet. We requested it to be fixed on Feb 2nd and they pronised to send a tech on Feb 23 which they later cancel on Feb 21. It is very frustrating that We have not been able to use the dishwasher since we closed on our home. We don't know when it will be fixed since they canceled the appointment. It has been more than a month now. I am very mad and disappointed at pulte right now. ... More

The price/value of the home does not equal the price. We felt rushed to go to design before we were even sure about getting a mortgage. As the building process progressed, it would have been nice to change a few things. Design should go through options better. Products used are definitely lower quality and pride of workmanship lacking.

Buyer beware - production building means you give up your rights for a quality built house!! Sub contractors used are at the bottom of the barrel because Pulte pays them so poorly so they can make more profits. Do your research before buying from Pulte.

don't expect any communication after closing for warranty issues.

Follow up is slow. During our walk through almost 1/2 the windows came off the track. Waited four weeks to have a dedicated GFI for the refrigerator install. Still waiting on pantry door to be replaced and cabinet door to be replaced.
