We have been very disappointed in the final workmanship in our home. We have November 1 scheduled for the fixes so we shall see. Additionally, we do not have the right appliances in dryer, refrigerator and others. Our order was cancelled when I called last week. Also I would have purchased more items if it had been clear they were structural but was told it was design meeting. So Pulte could have made even more money.

I have a good experience during the sales process. The sales person wasn't pushy and was very responsive even after I signed the paper work and paid my deposit. I went with Pulte Mortgage and also found the various people that I communicated with at Pulte Mortgage to be very responsive as well. However, post closing is a completely different story. I have a number of issues. My fridge is in the middle of my kitchen and has been for almost two months because it cannot fit because the upper cabinets are too low. The home is aesthetically pleasing - just as in pictures of the models. However, the quality of finish leaves much to be desired. There is a time-frame in which the new homeowner is allowed to "point out" issues that need attention. The Pulte representatives are accessible through appointments and do inspect and view homeowners' issues, but also note that they "can't keep an eye on every contractor during the building process". The home came out ok, but all the little details such as painting, caulking and grouting were done very messy. I still have grout stuck in the middle of tiles that was never removed. I found that my guest tub was installed cracked and they tried to patch it up, this is unacceptable for a brand new home. Overall not a great experience for my first home.

Our experience was plagued by lack of communication and our field manager was changed three times during the build process. The last month of the build was a complete rush and showed in the quality of the workmanship at the end.

As we walk through our home, I see so many flaws, lack of heart put into the smallest things. The caulking looks like a childs work, corners are not squared and off on sides, counter tops drilled for 3 holes and there should have been one. Instead of replacing, it was covered and left as if we wouldn't notice. It was attempted to be fixed, but for sure still noticable! Cabinets are leaning and it has taken forever to get them to even call us back. The carpet on steps is unraveling. Im having a hard time with all the imperfections! On a new home??

Things were not smooth since start and then issues with construction, delay in the closing and now going through the issues that I'm seeing in the house that were noted at the time of closing and here after 2 month still not fully taken care. And seeing the how much least bother the Pulte group is in resolving these issues. I would recommend to buy some older house instead.

Home is beautiful. Salesperson should reference a list of options to go over with home buyer-not rely on home buyer discovering that something wasn’t even offered during the building process. Also, salesperson strongly suggested that I not get the backsplash option for my kitchen, and do it myself, but when I thought it through and thought that because I bought a range tower exhaust, it might be wise to have the builder do the backsplash was abruptly told by the salesperson that it was too late and I had to do it myself, regardless of my willingness to pay the $500 change fee. Pulte is not a custom builder. It’s quantity, not quality. There is an obvious lack of pride in workmanship amongst the trades and not much accountability from Pulte.

From purchase leading to closing I felt it was a good experience. However, upon closing I felt the celebration was not a celebration as the home wasn’t fully ready. House was dusty, dirty, not cleaned, paint touch up needed and was not presentable for a ready move in. Started off with a good experience, overall excitement and eagerness to move in. The neighborhood was oversold too quickly and then the delays started. Understandable for weather delays and supply shortages (who could’ve predicted the market and wood supply issue) what wasn’t understandable was the lack of communication and the excuses we ran into. If what you are looking for is quality work with a builder who is proactive in satisfactorily remedying workmanship issues then this isn't the builder for you. The home overall is in good condition however the subcontractors used by the builder were primarily people who could fog a mirror not specializing in their specific craft and the quality of the work speaks for itself. We have been in the house for over a month now. We had a list of issues from our walk through that weren’t fix before we moved in and additional issues we have found since moving in. There were covers left off of electrical outlets, broken freezer shelf, leaking shower in the master, and vent hood in the kitchen that was installed wrong. These are big issues , not just paint touch ups and we still have had no word on when any of it will be fixed. It’s wonderful to be in a brand new home. Unfortunately, that gets ruined when you spend the first couple months constantly finding all of the poor workmanship that wasn’t caught during your brief final inspections. Walls out of square, sloppy craftsmanship all over the place, broken doors, drawers, and cabinets. Very slow response to get anything taken care of. If you’re thinking of building a new home in the Indianapolis area, go with anyone other than Pulte. You’ll be happy you did.
