Just move in, now everything is good

Look elsewhere if you are interested in buying a great home !!!

The home buying experience was easy. The mortgage company was great and responsive. However, the work done on the house was very sloppy. You can tell the house was built by the lowest bidders. For example, there was paint splattered on the floor, cracked tile, towel holder was not anchored to the wall properly so as soon as we hung a towel it fell off the wall, caulking was not finished in some areas, and other minor details that you would normally not expect to deal with from a new house.

We received weekly updates until the month we proceeded to close. The closing date shifted twice due to incomplete projects. We acknowledged a ticket escalating missing appliance items in July (on the day we closed)…its now September—2 months with later no progress. Our neighbors warned us that once we close and complete the survey, customer service would deteriorate which it did—significantly. My wife and I are both military veterans (Air Force) and this is by far the worst experience considering we have purchased custom homes in 2 other states.

Poor finishing workmanship on home, doors not properly installed, mismatched French den doors, paint and drywall repairs needed, upgraded cabinets needed repairs, light fixtures dirty, outdoor brick walll poorly constructed and damaged (eyesore). Numerous other repairs required in home

It was good and good experience with builder. Only thing is the material is not good.

Pulte made it very easy to be a first time home buyer. From the application, Pulte mortgage and weekly build updates, I felt very informed every step of the way. Highly recommended Pulte!

Overall, quality and workmanship is good, but not good enough for the high prices they are asking. Should pay more attention to details, especially the painting.

Very disappointed ☹️☹️ First they didn't do what they promised second It almost 2 months since I moved and they haven't sent someone to fix imperfections ( cracked,paint, broken,etc etc) and I been called them very often they just said we will send someone tomorrow and the tomorrow never came

Inconsistent communication with construction manager. Unfinished repair six weeks after problem brought to attention of construction manager.

Thankful for the process and the attention of your staff. Today I am happy to enjoy my new home with my family.

Our project manager and sales rep were very friendly. However their construction motto seems to be build the house quick and cheap, then attempt to fix only what the homebuyer catches. Some workmanship errors have been corrected - still waiting on many others.

Please do not close on your New construction Property Purchase until you are totally satisfied with the outcome and get everything in writing. Because once you close and there is some concerns that you have or had that where not address you may not get those concerns met, and you may get the brushoff treatment.

It’s simple and confidence

Pulte kept to the original timeline. That was important to ensure moving went smoothly. House plan and layout of house is good. It fit better than any other builder (for the price). Challenges were with finish-work and cleanliness. Throughout the project there was constant piles of trash both inside and outside the house. After drywall and flooring, there was mud tracked through, drywall clumps and dust EVERYWHERE, and the cleanup at various key stages was skipped. How do we know? All the trim work is embedded with dust that was painted over and occasional large drip marks dried in place. We had laminate throughout the house with slight overspray along all the walls on the floor. We pulled out the Oven and dishwasher to find clumps of drywall mud dried on the floor and dust that was never cleaned/swept. Terrible enforcement on simple "cleanup after your work" was enforced. Finish work was short as well. Finish carpentry had many gaps that needed re-caulked, poor touchups, and doors with chipped paint and scratches. What was the most painful was the flooring. We had hundreds of rubber hammer marks all over. These were pointed out with each inspection with the supervisor saying it would get resolved. On closing day, they were still there and the excuse was they simply wipe up. Turns out they did not. We had to use mineral spirits to scrub each mark and then rinse with water. We spent DAYS cleaning the floor and still find places. Ridiculous! The only feedback when conveyed again to the supervisor was that “those marks will disappear over time.” Overall, the house is built well and has a great feel, but fell short when it came to delivery at the end. When you spend three weeks cleaning a new house, it does not feel you got your money's worth. The bright point is our Sales person (Obie). She helped identify all the options we had to choose from and was good at finding answers. For example, we needed laminate everywhere and no carpet. She made it happen! We had several additions for lights added and other changes. She ensured all were identified and worked into the build. In closing, we would recommend and build with Pulte again, but be more hands-on with the supervision of the build. That was the part that was lacking. You really have to stay on top of workmanship. Paint job was sloppy. I really don't understand why builders use flat paint on wall as very hard to clean. I did have a few issues that were taken care of promptly after I moved in. Otherwise a few things that were not addressed so guess now have to wait before one year warranty is up to get addressed. Otherwise for a first time home buyer I love my home.

We looked for a newer house in various cities, but our realtor in Jacksonville showed us a fully furnished model home by Pulte and we simply could not refuse this. Very beautifully built home in a circle where we can go for walks, jogging and biking every evening. Good company, good employees.
