Covid has delayed everything in my experience with Pulte (is what I'm told) this year. I've lived in my home for 3 months & still have several workmanship issues that were notified by my overworked field manager & still haven't received notice from another rep whose supposed to schedule our appts to get these items fixed. It's caused significant delay in being able to unpack & things which need fixed after getting worse.

AC stopped working one day after moving in, electrical outlets keep tripping the breaker,damaged title and grout issues, and still unresolved issues

I paid for upgrade paint and doesn’t cover. . And painters didn’t give another coat. I was told paint company having problems with the color I chose. Supervisor wouldn’t let me change color since painters have to come back. So I’m stuck with paint that doesn’t cover.

The sub contractors Pulte uses are fast and careless with their work. This results in mistakes and errors that plague the homeowner.

In the beginning they were attentive to ant little problems but since moving in they tend to ignore you and things do not get done. To rate them as excellent would not be telling the truth.

There were lack of details in finish. When we did our final inspection on our closing day, we found several issues such as dirty floor, stained kitchen faucet, missing pendant lights, missing cabinet piece in kitchen island, not levelled cabinet door, visible nail marks on molding, construction debris on roof, and etc. Although the majority of these were addressed, we are still waiting for our pendant lights and new kitchen faucet after two months. In addition, our driveway and walkway were poured more than 7 weeks after moving in. Our yards still not graded, so we might not be able to put grass seeds this year although we moved in spring. It is frustrated not being able to enjoy what we already have paid in full. The most frustrating issue is with our hardwood floors. We have hardwood floors on all three floors, but we found out that there were a lot of drywall dust trapped inside of grains of hardwood floor pieces. We raised this issue during the final inspection and basically got no solution. After trying few different methods, we realised we need to manually get the dust out of individual grain using a small screw driver. I stopped almost immediately because it could damage the hardwood pieces. Therefore, it looks like we are stuck with dirty hardwood pieces because they have no intention of cleaning for us. I believe this could have been prevented during the construction if the work was done more carefully or the floor was put after drywall was completed. It is definitely disappointed to see these floors every day. We feel that we deserve a better quality finish product, considering the price of the house and the payment was made on the closing day. Please check all the details of your house as much as possible before moving in and make sure that the majority of work gets done immediately after your inspection. I actually think the final inspection should take place few weeks before the closing day instead of closing day, so the issues can be fixed prior to move in or closing. The Central Point community appears very nice, but the interiors of the homes are not as attractive as they should be due to a lack of high quality workmanship. Additionally, my home buying experience with Pulte Homes was very disappointing. My celebration walkthrough was performed while my home was incomplete and while there were serious paint issues everywhere. I also required multiple independent home inspections before being able to feel comfortable with my purchase, and I did not appreciate being rushed to sign on my home before a passing inspection was obtained. Pulte Homes has a lot of potential, but the customer service needs work, and I strongly advise all future home buyers to obtain an independent inspection before purchasing. ... More

We are still finding nails sticking out of our stairway, one of our bathrooms is missing a piece of shower curtain pole, trash from workers always needing to get picked up, back yard isnt flat. Those are just to name a few.

Pulte is refusing to address poor insulation in the home that is resulting in excessive heat in the loft and extreme noise from the road behind my home even though I was required to pay for upgraded windows and insulation. They also refused to address high radon levels in my home which is a known problem in the entire development.

For the price paid our expectations were higher. We are unfortunately frustrated and surprised by the lack of responsiveness to multiple concerns we had and have now. Hoping for some resolution sooner than later.

After closing the house .. Pulte Doesnt respond to there customers and lot of negligence

Pulte builds a fine house. However, their warranty folks and mortgage company make owning the house such a pain.

Overall the experience was not as good as it should have been. It was very hard to get responses from the customer service representatives for the neighborhood and they were not ready for us to move in come the closing date. Throughout the build, we would get a weekly or bi-weekly update via phone to discuss progress but were never provided pictures when we weren't even in the same state for much time during the building process. The overall attention to detail was not great when it was time for us to move in. Even though we had asked for things to be fixed during our final inspection a week before closing, which also wasn't even close to being ready for inspection (they were still painting, fixing problems, and cleaning when we showed up), not everything was fixed properly. Instead of pushing out the closing date and needing to reschedule the moving company and all of the plans that were set in stone for months because we thought 6 months was enough time to do everything properly, we decided to get in the house and fix things ourselves. You would think contractors who build multiple homes at the same time non-stop would see there mistakes and do a almost perfect job every time but that is not even close to the truth. It is disappointing to find new problems or details after spending so much money on what is supposed to be a brand new home. Walk through on March 11, close on March 16, none of the items identified have been fixed as of May 26.

Read the reviews on this site very carefully. The mortgage process was a teeth grinding nightmare; however, the loan consultant was the saving grace. Mortgage processor asked for information piecemeal and how many times do you need to check with an underwriter for someone who is close to a credit score of 800? Title insurance was wonderful. The pre-drywall walk through was well done with considerable knowledge and helpful detail shared. While there is no doubt the structure is well built, some interior finishes are low quality, overpriced and contractor final work is sloppy. If there are quality checks on interior contractor work it’s not done to the highest regard as the house structure itself. There was ceiling paint on hardwood floors and the marble fireplace that I needed to remove. Kitchen cabinet uppers have chips where handles have been screwed in, dents and one has a screw end visible beneath where the molding was attached. The water from the fridge and kitchen faucet tastes terrible and has a plastic odor. After repeated follow up on the issues, one to the customer care manager (no reply) and a colleague (3 follow ups), I’m advised the water is piped the same as every home out here and it’s definitely safe. Hmmm..so why does it smell and taste so bad. The rest of the items need to wait 11 months. These are basic things that the builder should own and rectify without delay. Sadly, very disappointed. ... We had a difficult issue with Pulte, as they reneged on their own contract, causing closing delays. Do not buy from them without using your OWN lender and title company!!!

The sales process was smooth. The quality of the finishing, (trim work, tile installation, painting) was low in my opinion. The superintendent for my build came across as helpful but his follow through has been poor as far as making sure the finishing issues are resolved. Unfortunately some of the repair work has resulted in more damage/poor workmanship than before the repair. The house closing was moved up 3 weeks from its original date and the quality of the final product seems to have be sacrificed to make this happen.

I bought a $1.2m home and had a field construction supervisor INTENTIONALLY damage my home and property, I have photo evidence and no one seemed to care. You think that is hyperbole but it's not.

Within a month of living in the home we have had multiple issues with electric work, plumbing, garage door, seals for faucets and floors, nails sticking out in the carpets. I believe we’ve had 4 different electricians that have had to come fix things and 2 different plumbers for multiple issues. I would highly suggest anyone who is purchasing get their own third party inspector to make sure work is done correctly. Warranty manager has been quick with scheduling people to get issues fixed but there shouldn’t have been so many issues to begin with

I am been having a couple of issues and had to contact multiples times and will be already two month and not been fixed.

Pulte needs to slow way down on the build process. While we have found Pulte responsive to fixing things, it seems we are always discovering things that aren't right. It definitely does not make us feel like our investment matters when we see so many cut corners and inconsistencies.

The quality of work I feel is sub par for the price of the house. They rush you through closing and the buyer pays a penalty if they delay closing for any reason, but the Pulte can delay without recourse. We moved into an unfinished home, unpainted exterior, and 8 weeks later, still no sod and an incomplete punch list. With the weather being a slight factor on some of the above items, I still feel it was poor planning on Pulte's part. My advice to new home buyers with Pulte is to stay on top of them every step of the way. Do not settle for less than you expect and keep pushing them. In the end, we are happy with our home, despite the issues and unfinished list... We will keep pushing to get everything completed. They do complete the work, it just takes many attempts and follow ups... ... More

I was very disappointed with the attention to detail, or lack thereof, that was placed into my home. I have been through home builds before, but this one was not favorable by any means. For the amount we paid, you would have thought that there would have been multiple eyes onsite to ensure quality control was happening. Instead we have damaged wood all over the place, specifically little chips throughout our craftsman trim, and paint that looks like an orange peels texture. I don’t understand why this happened as I pointed it out on several occasions. I don’t think it’s acceptable to receive a home that has wood filled in with “mud” or some filler - but the project manger specifically told me that the FROG often gets overlooked. I also don’t see how Pulte sells a craftsman trim, but somehow leaves trim nails sticking out in 3/4 of the doorways, slightly ironic. I had to call out the drywall on multiple occasions as there were spots that weren’t properly finished or dings and dents that were completely overlooked. The orange peel paint is probably one of the most aggravating things to look at considering it was probably the easiest to remedy at the time of application. The legs of our island were damaged and dented - of which had I not called it out, I would have been stuck with it. The cabinet paint was dinged up by the workers. I had to pitch a small fit over considering it’s the focal point of the house. Our yard also was missing a bunch of sod and it has been a fight since our closing to get this done, which is still an outstanding item. The moral of the story here is buyer beware and pay very close attention. You would think you would get what you pay for, but then again, not so much these days. Takes several follow up calls to get response. Unwilling to mitigate noise issue emanating from Pulte owned model next to our new build. Four year old pool motor left on 24/7 and rattles. Attitude that we should take up with future purchaser of the model home rather than current owner (Pulte)..."not their problem". So beware of buying a model or spec already built.
