Pleased with home and follow up from Pulte staff

Resolving issues is very slow.

Clean and quiet it was worth the wait during the covid

Terrible issues on day one

A lot of issues have been noted since we moved in on 27Jan2021. -Plumbing issues - several occasions. Flooded my whole powder room, living room. leaking thru kitchen flood light due to water going thru overflow in master bedroom -responsiveness to issues - very non-cholent and careless attitude -a couple defects i noticed and have reported that is still not addressed. overall, not impressed.

The home buying experience is okay. The builder's lender involved some high fees so we didn't choose them. The closing day was okay, but all the documents were delayed so we did not receive community gate access nor trash bins until 6-8 weeks after we moved in. The wood floor and doors are not quality material, chip off easily only a few weeks after moved in. The irrigation valve was broken and Pulte insurance would not take care of it and their management are using freezing weather as excuses. We understand that Pulte home prices are slightly lower than other builders, but quality is not that good given the overall price we paid. Will look for options other than Pulte home in the future. ... More

The home buying process was painless, from the design to signing the mortgage. Pulte offers lot of designs to fit your needs and are really responsive to your needs. Unfortunately, there were some things that were not done before closing, and now now it seems I cannot get a hold of anyone. Maintenance workers miss scheduled appointment and there was no followup. I am disappointed that these fixes fell through especially because I was reassured things would be taken care of quickly.

Very good experience with professional people

Jimmy did a great job communicating. Kept me informed. My main issue is the the cost of upgrades. I know there is a mark up but the prices are 10x.

We love the floorplan and design of our new home. Unfortunately, there has been one significant issue after another since our closing. The lack of response and attentiveness to major issues (flooding due to improper appliance installation requiring the replacement of our entire kitchen wood floors in the first week, electrical systems melting due to improper fireplace installation, front porch requiring complete demolition and re-pouring of concrete just to name a few) has left us shocked. Pendant lights showed up to be installed two months after closing, and they are pendants that we did not select and have never seen before. We are going on another month of trying to get the correct pendants installed with no progress or commitments from Pulte. Everyone we work with just points at each other to "investigate" issues but nothing ever gets done. Everyday we have a feeling of what next in our brand new home. In no way would I recommend Pulte homes to a family member or close friend looking to build a new home. ... More

Cathy B and Grant were very efficient and helpful, also Jaffe and Nick with Pulte Mortgage were excellent. The drywall finishers is the only complaint.

Pulte is a reputed company and I purchased my new home in columbus area. The overall commitment was excellent and they did things as per my specifications. Materials used are of good quality and overall construction quality is very good.

House not completed for walkthrough, no quality checks were performed by Pulte, all issue identification was left up to us as the customer, promised by builder that issues would be resolved by closing and they were not. Forced to close with 77 open issues like leaking pipes, damage to cabinets and other finishes, uninstalled features, missing paint, chipped tiles, etc. As soon as we closed it was like we did not exist. It has been left to us to coordinate, schedule, and communicate issues with the trades, as our Pulte field manager told us he was moving to a new development across the street and did not have time to follow through on all the issues we discussed before, during, and after closing. Pulte sells you the "Build Quality Experience" and says they are the highest of quality. There was no oversight of the work along the way, that is obvious by the poor quality and numerous mistakes. There was no inspection by Pulte, they looked to us to point out even the most obvious damage and needed fixes. We are 6 weeks passed closing and our house is torn up with partial fixes, most items not addressed at all, and many items worked multiple times and still not acceptable. I would not recommend Pulte, they have not taken any pride in their product, and along the way each Pulte representative has pointed at someone else as being responsible. ... More

The build was on time and complete. Quality of workmanship was not perfect as revealed by my independent inspector. If the original workmen took as much pride in their work as the repair teams did, we would not have had to deal with so many repairs. But my home will be perfect in another few days. Thank you to my field manager for his follow-up and attention to detail.

The reason I did not give 5 stars is because the paint and drywall issues inside the home are overwhelming.

They get the work completed very fast!

The buying process and regular progress updates were great.

My wife and I built our first home and had a wonderful experience. We unfortunately had to move due to a family member’s declining health. We then decided to build again and found an area we were interested in, which was being built by Pulte. Prior to signing the purchase agreement, we asked our sales representative about the community’s water source and property taxes. We were told the community was on city water, but failed to mention this “city water” was actually sourced from a well and was very hard water. They also failed to mention the additional $6,000 tax assessment that would be added to our property taxes. Once this information came to light, Pulte refused to take responsibility for the information and their only “solution” was to offer us a full refund *11 days* before closing. That being said, our project manager was outstanding and built my wife and I a beautiful home. Unfortunately, due to the business ethics of the sales side, I cannot recommend Pulte for building your home. The Pulte mortgage and Pulte insurance reps I worked with were pleasant and helpful. It was great working with them

Quality of work is okay, not great. Sloppy, no pride in workmanship. 50/50 on materials. Many were very cheap for the price we paid. Quality Control was basically none. Terrible. Responsiveness to issues, basically we got "ghosted". At 2 months from move-in, still many issues were not addressed. Word of trust to take care of things, doesn't exist. The only positive portion of this experience was the Loan Processing. Basically smooth, though communication was lacking, it was better than the rest of the process. At this point, we would not purchase another Pulte Home or recommend them. Too many issues that we personally should never had to have been part of. This house was by far "Ready to Move-In". We're still waiting for several issues to be addressed and repaired or replaced. Extremely disappointing. Pulte can certainly do much, much better. ... More

Quality of the build was not what it should have been.

The overall workmanship of the paint, floorboards, and Sheetrock taping seemed to be ok. There are some areas where the work looks amateur-ish. Some floor moldings didn’t get covered thoroughly with paint, and when carpet was installed there are cuts in floor moldings made by the knife used to install carpet. There are areas in Sheetrock were you can see the seams. 2 weeks After we closed my stove shorted out, and there was a crack in one of the tubs upstairs. Both issues were resolved quickly.

Great team, from sales, design, field manager/build, mortgage, to closing! Extremely professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with through entire process.
