Pulte’s poor communication and commitment disappoints us so much. They really need complete responsibilities and accountability to listen carefully and timely communicate. Most importantly they have to take action but not simply disregard or inaction. Very disappointed and unpleasant experience.

Punch list after closing date , they have more than 20 things to finish or repair, after 6 weeks after closing they didn’t complete the list …

I have very bad experience with Pulte . Before closing 3 days , we walk through house and we founded so many things which are not properly installed . At the day of closing , we walk again and we founded 20+ things which Pulte did not resolved till that day . THEY PROMISED TO US EVERYTHING WILL BE DONE . We make the agreement, after closing 15 days PULTE should complete the list . We’ve had so many issues. We were promised the home would look like a model home and it wasn’t. We are waiting response to get our issues resolved. Just felt like things were put together as quickly as possible knowing things could be fixed. On top of that we have plot issues. Our plot is smaller than what was supposed to be according to the plan.

This is my second home purchase with Pulte and almost might be my last. It was a true headache from the beginning with the sales center and lack or attention to detail and communication. The saving grace was the field managers who actually communicated very well and helped along the way. If I was to purchase again and saw the same sales team I dealt with I would leave. Overall, it was a good time to buy a home which is why i did. Prices were rising and you needed to get in somewhere. Would I go with Pulte in the future? No, i'd try someone else out. I had to stay on top of them during the build process and when i mentioned issues, i was assured it would be taken care of. Paid more for low quality house

Houses are really built with very poor quality, there are lot of echo and you can hear through walls up stair/downstair, also even slow walk sound as a big bang noise. flush in a bathroom will create noise as if there was a big machine turned on and it is very lound rt below bathrooms (this is a big issue where we have work from home and in the meeting), this itself show how poor quality is.

Have had a lot of issues with labor shortages, back ordered products, and wanting us to close on an incomplete home. Still trying to get shutters since they are on back order but other identical homes are receiving theirs. Also told sod and landscaping might not happen until spring of 2022 and we moved in July 2021.

When I talked to others in the neighborhood, all were given a much lower lot price. People with much bigger lots were charged significantly lesser lot price. I feel I was taken for a ride.

Surprising Disappointment with Pulte Homes, a Builder with Good Reputation

Pulte Homes has had a good reputation, but unfortunately I am very disappointed in the entire buying/building process. 1. Pulte sales told me the property is not in a flood zoom but actually it is. Two weeks before the closing I was told a flood insurance is required because it is in a flood zoom. 2. The house was built with three car garages but with a narrowed drive way only allowing to access two. This is due a special county regulation about the drive way width, which Pulte does not tell buyers until the house is built. 3. Dry walls were soaked with water due to opened windows on rainy ...

Started off really well. Toward closing Pulte sales got very short and non communicative. Pulte finance said that everything was good and then pulled out 3 wks before closing. Not very helpful

There was a serious lack of creativity when it came to figuring out the siding delay. It was very frustrating! Not to mention that communication did not come from the top down. It’s important that customers know that companies care; not just the sales people.

Pulte gives very few choices and charges a premium for many things that we felt should be included in a house. Although I realize Pulte is not a custom builder, we were disappointed by the selections, workmanship, and quality of building materials.

Our sales and construction representatives were very responsive and friendly and the condo is overall nice but we have had several issues. They pushed/forced us to use Pulte mortgage even though we already had our own broker. We applied, but ended up using our broker as Pulte couldn't match. That pushed the process back 2-weeks waiting for Pulte's underwriting review. Also, had many delays in closing as the condo was not appraising. Bought this home after coming to know Pulte homes are good at construction and they take care customers well. Realized that they are no more as the community was sold out and they wanted to handover the pending homes soon and move out. It was supposed to be inventory home with upgraded materials and we did not have a chance to choose any further. Had poor laundry flooring, handrails, poor paint quality (know that we had to wait for a year to settle down, but the paint that I got was very poor quality). Lack of quality of workmanship is overwhelming!!!!

First, the following is not only based on my wife’s and my experience. After talking to neighbors, similar if not the same issues have been observed on many levels. The list below is not only our impression but was already recognized by the quality manager from Pulte. He wrote the list and I am just copying/pasting parts of it here. After our first walkthrough a lot of things got marked with tape with the explanation that it will be taken care of before move in day (that was expected, no complaint here!). Pulte creates too many homes that it cannot keep up with, thus the quality suffers. Finishings were poor such as painting was awfull, many places were missing paint entirely, choices of wood were poor as noticed during construction, final grading still is not complete after 2 months, window signs still in windows above garage, responsiveness is very slow often times months.

The lack of support from Pulte

I was given a very low grade refrigerator just so they could close and get their money. The frig door doesn’t stay closed, it’s very small, and doesn’t have an ice maker. We live in Florida and have to buy ice every two days. Ive talked to Pulte and their sales manager who doesn’t even call back or follow up. He’s been a total disappointment along with Whirlpool who blames Pulte then Pulte blames Whirlpool. The sad part is I can go out and buy the refrigerator I ordered and paid for but no one will step up and give me a refund to do that!! All I get is excuses and no solutions!!

From the beginning no one seemed to know what they are doing or how to answer questions. Right before our closing date 10 months in they would several water leaks all over the house and mold so they had to ripe out the walls and treat for mold several times. We were told the mold was gone and we had a new closing date so we had a home inspection done only to find the attic was not treated and there was still mold in there. We always had to initiate communication to find out what was going on. Our house took 2 months longer than expected, but at no point we’re we reached out to to be made aware of this extension our original estimate just came and went. When we did our celebration and pointed out items that needed fixed Steven said he would be “living at our house the next couple of days to get things done.” I’m sure he didn’t do that as many of the items were not completed. We had to close with items not installed and had to wait several days for them to be installed. Then they weren’t installed correctly.

Not a good first time home buying experience

I have been in my new home for 3 months and have yet to be fully settled in the house. My floors were not to standards and what is worst the “replacement” has been just as bad; now I am waiting to get my floor redone again. My wife and I have noticed the workmanship was not as good in other areas but the main thing that stood out was the bad tile work. The responsiveness has not been up to par when asking for something to get fixed.
