Though we love our home & are happy with how beautiful the house turned out....the process was miserable and we felt as though we were just a number to Pulte as a whole. There were some individuals working for the company who we had relatively pleasant experiences with but as a whole there was a SEVERE lack of communication. If asked by friends and family, I would not suggest Pulte.

Disorganized process from the time of mortgage application through closing

Make sure the mortgage lender, field manager and closing agent are in communication. Ours was a case of poor communication. Spend hours during walk through to make sure the faucets and electrical components work; check proper installation of sliding doors; run sprinklers, check sewage pipes are intact otherwise sewage will flow out on the lawn. Check if tiles especially the backsplashes are properly laid out. Ours was sticking out from the wall and could not be fixed other than breaking the wall. Pulte did not honor their word (sell promise). Big disappointment on the timely follow-up to close open issues. Pulte pushed to accept the house as it was right on the closing date, even when the house was not fully completed, as previously promised.

Pulte was working with me while the building process of the house was taking place (The Landings at Cherry Hill Village, Canton MI); right before the closing (on the same day) however, I was asked to accept the house as it was -OR- postpone the scheduled closing to a future TBD date. Some of the promises that were made through the building process were never addressed (did not honor their word, their promise). I would buy from the sales rep 100 times over and the the site manger is great too. Warranty team is poor, talk a great game but poor delivery.

Get EVERYTHING in writing!

The sales person was nice at first, then went dark and was unresponsive during the closing process. They agreed to take care of options verbally during close to just turn around and cite the written agreement a week later, claiming the outstanding items weren't on the closing documents so they didn't have to take care of them. Do not go with their mortgage company option I have never seen such incompetence as they displayed throughout the build. This group spent months ignoring my applications and I had to constantly hound them to do the basics of their job. Was not worth the 10k incentive.

After two months of home ownership I have a 15+ bullet point list of issues still needing resolved. Still don’t have a working oven, and a row of tiles have fallen off my home due to poor workmanship during installation. A lot of the concerns have been brought forward from even pre closing dates that have yet to be fixed. Additionally since we started this process we are now on our third foreman... that should tell you something.

We are the new homeowner from Pulte, just moved into new home since August 18th for 3 days but with many surprised issues. Irrigation system has been set up wrong initially by Loving group who is hired by Pulte which caused $1200 plus water bill for 1-2 months and Pulte told us this is not their responsibility; Important warranty registration information was not shared during closing so we missed good benefits for extended warranty. Cabinets have scratches, lawns are damaged by community truck, we are told these are all not covered by Pulte warranty. We feel quality of home is not good and ...

Brand new home and already experiencing leaks in sink, cracks, paint coming out. Also, boundary vinyl wall was supposedly changed for a dent and that hasn’t changed even after a promise to change.

The best part of the build is that they have done this at a pretty good pace and kept up with the timeline as promised (in fact a week before the tentative completion date). However the overall build quality is not to the expectations. It is quite evident in the finishing or touch up works done in the last minute and the very shabby job of cleaning the house or power washing the basement and garage. It was delivered in a "not so clean" state. Not satisfied !!!

Not at all happy with the purchase. We like the layout hence we went with it, but the sales agent we worked not at all knowledgeable and we are suffering implications because of it. Also pulte management is not at all flexible on things compared to other major builders. Also the things included in standard price not good , also build quality as well not great as even paint, trim etc are very sensitive

The attention to detail or lack there of really was disappointing. Lots of bumps in the road and still finding the little things that were sloppy in the craftsmanship. You can tell that everything was done with speed not care. Don’t even get me started with the sales representative.

After moving in we noticed the Drywall texturing on our home was extremely bad. You can see lines, holes, defects, and areas that was not finished or sanded, etc. To date, workers have spent 5 days of re-texturing and sanding. And now, 3 days so far, of painting our home and probably another 2 ti 3 days to finish painting Then, they need to send cleaning crew to clean as well as cleaning the air ducts due to ALL the dust that have accumulated. Pulte's Quality control should have caught this issues prior to move.

Considering that this is a new construction, my expectation was much higher. During the first month, I had reported many issues that have not been addressed in a timely fashion, meaning takes weeks to get things done on warranty.
