Awful customer service and a whole bunch of issues with the sales team and construction quality control

We had many issues throughout the build process, most were due to the incompetence of the sales rep. On several occasions we were told we were getting one product by the sales rep only to find out too late in the build process that those items that heavily swayed our decision to purchase, either 1. Weren't available, or 2. Were only available if we chose a different option or 3. We were mislead on what we were getting. I could go on and on but there's not enough space. We never even got a response from supervisors when we had issues that warranted it. Overall there are so many issues, and ...

Disappointed after moved in

Compare to other new construction houses ,Pulty model house is simple design, not special at all. We found out lot of issues when we walked through the house after it built and the whoever person in charge promised he would fix the problem but which he missed multiple area not fixed at all. We are kind of disappointed. The material they used are super cheap. After we moved in not even a month , the paint on the wall started to peel off. All the material they used my professional friend said it’s the cheapest one can not last longer time. About the house pricing ... I can say the ...

Homes built as cheap as possible

Pulte has some good home designs, but in the end, they fall short because they hire the cheapest labor possible using the cheapest materials possible. Fit and finish is terrible, and there doesn't seem to be any inspection of the work performed. For example, many of the doors inside the house don't close. EVERY window has crooked or wavy framing and drywall work. The floor tiles throughout the house are uneven so furniture wobbles. Any purchased upgrades use the least expensive materials possible. The homes would be much better quality if someone actually followed up on the work ...

Work is not completed 2 months later.

Closed on home in March. Yard has still not been installed - issue is not due to COVID-19. This is a shame as we would not have poorly rated this experience prior to closing. We have been understanding about a window needing to be replaced and workers not being allowed in homes during the pandemic. However, yards are being installed consistently around the neighborhood as we watch and wait for the past 2 months.

Everything looks good until you close on the house

Everything seems great until about the last 1-2 weeks prior to you closing on your new home. During that time is when the inside of the house actually starts to come together. At that point you will meet with a Project Manager that will walk you around the house to mark any areas that you deem to be flawed. The majority of this is related to drywall, paint, etc. At that point they will add tape to the affected areas. Here is where the issue lies. After you spend literally 2 hours marking the whole place up, they trust and turn over the work to subcontractors that have no skin in the game. For ...

I closed on 2/19/20. To date, the exterior painting (including caulking and ceiling) and landscaping has not been completed. Also, the exterior was littered with construction debris. There are also interior issues that cannot be addressed at this time due to COVID-19 but reflect upon the quality of workmanship. I am currently having shingle blow offs and shingle flapping in several sections of the roof that has not been resolved although reported.

Several years back when I moved to Atlanta I had great experience with Pulte. They built my new townhouse and I was included each step of the way, had a great finished product and great follow up. For this purchase/build, I purposely sought them out as this was to be my 'retirement' home (as in I didn't want to move again until I truly retire in a few years). But with all that has happened since I financed with Pulte, took ownership of the house and lived here for a few weeks I do not plan to A) stay here for the long haul or B) invest in another Pulte home. As always I am glad to work ...

My wife and I fell in love with the model home and went ahead with purchasing of the home. The Sales Associate that we worked with was awesome. The building experience was not bad either. We relocated from Chicago so could only come down a few times to review the progress on the home. Project Manager building home Was responsive as well. I wish Plute’s sale person could have provided truth rather than misleading information to convince the customers to buy the condo. For example, I was told by the sale that the building will be using Pulte patent structure and we will not hear noise from upstairs. It turns out not true, I can hear neighbors above me walking around their rooms. If the sale did not exaggerate, I will buy the unit on the top floor. I asked the sale if I could have hardwood floor instead of carpet for the bedrooms. He told me that it is not an option item, but I can always change to hardwood floor after moving ...

I base this review only off of our personal experience. We have talked to other people who had a positive experience with their homes. We however have not. Things that we have experienced: Construction delays (installed the wrong color of cabinets, smoke detectors did not work properly and were not identified until the day of closing), poor build quality for what we paid for the house, problems that were identified well ahead of closing that were not fixed and still haven't been fixed after two months of living in our home. Pulte talks a lot about quality but the contractors they use for fit and finish are terrible. We closed on our house and there are still a lot of issues that Pulte has yet to fix. It was a bit of struggle with Pulte on all accounts (construction, sales office, mortgage) from start to finish. Construction issues were covered up, we were told some of the staff cut corners (by other staff) and given a multitude of misinformation by sales, and our mortgage representative had little knowledge of the products he was selling. In regards to construction, the paint is already chipping, cracks in ceilings (1 month in), house was not properly cleaned upon move-in (still tape marks all over floor) and just general lack of attention to detail. The home seems nice on the initial inspection but once a closer look is taken, the craftsmanship is not good for the money that was spent. The attention to detail is lacking and we are continuously finding things that were not done properly. It seems that the attitude of "that's good enough" was taken when finishing the home. While Pulte is trying to address all of our issues, it is taking a long time to get someone in the home to fix things.
