My home buying experience with Pulte was generally a good partnership. I've been in my townhouse just about 3 months, I really like my townhome and during the first month the Pulte building team was awesome responding to requests and issues I contacted them about. Lately, I keep finding evidence that Pulte used CHEAP materials in the building of my home. We purchased a pulte townhome as first time homebuyers. Our design process was great but did experience one mishap with a selection we chose, but it turned out to work great and we decided not to fix it. Our building manager (superintendent) was very friendly, cooperative, and returned all calls in a timely manner. Overall, we are very happy in our new townhome and have nothing negative to say about Pulte Homes or our process with them.

I chose this home because of its beautiful kitchen and lay out. In the beginning everything was going smoothly, There was turnover in staff (twice) that left me without a dedicated construction Manager. When it came to finishes, which I had paid dearly for, there is a lot to be desired. Some of the shotty items are, wall plates with pilot holes in wrong places, door edges(bottom)are rough , doors are very cheap. We recently closed on our new Pulte home in the Reverence community of Summerlin Nevada. Our experience was great and we highly recommend the whole Pulte team. Every phase of the process from the purchase of the home to the walk through was enjoyable. It is important to note that we lived out of state the entire time! Poor site drainage/site engineering planning, unresponsive to post move in problems in first 30 days (example: electrical plug for kitchen range protrudes from wall so drawer on said range will not fully close, so was told to call Whirlpool and builder totally shrugged off repair for owner to deal with) we moved in on 13.Agosto.2020 and the more than 3 foot high weeds behind home are still uncut. 2 frikkin months. We like our new home. We got what we wanted and the quality is very good. The reason for the average rating really had to do with Pulte stopping construction half way through and putting our house on the market. This action was in violation of our purchase agreement. Since we were out of state we were not even told. the house is very well built with every detail very well finished, my family and I love the neighborhood the neighbors are very friendly . only one detail that I did not like was that the house was not cleaned before closing ,it was very dirty with a lot dust and one of the bathroom was extremely dirty the windows full of dirt .I talk to the representative she says they hired a company to clean the house, I do not think they did the work ., I had to hire staff to clean the house ,I couldn't let my daughters play in a dirty house

Disorganized process from the time of mortgage application through closing

Make sure the mortgage lender, field manager and closing agent are in communication. Ours was a case of poor communication. Spend hours during walk through to make sure the faucets and electrical components work; check proper installation of sliding doors; run sprinklers, check sewage pipes are intact otherwise sewage will flow out on the lawn. Check if tiles especially the backsplashes are properly laid out. Ours was sticking out from the wall and could not be fixed other than breaking the wall. After moving in, we found the garage was not insulated contrary to our purchase agreement. It then took numerous calls and threat of legal action to get this resolved. The contractors did a haphazard job fixing the issue. It also took multiple contractors multiple days to finish the work.
