Overall great customer service and buying experience with Pulte Homes. Quality control could be improved and the cost of the upgrades vs. the quality was subpar compared to my experience with other builders.

My home buying experience with Pulte was generally a good partnership. I've been in my townhouse just about 3 months, I really like my townhome and during the first month the Pulte building team was awesome responding to requests and issues I contacted them about. Lately, I keep finding evidence that Pulte used CHEAP materials in the building of my home. For instance, I found out that they used the lowest grade paint throughout the interior, I'll have to paint probably within first year because what's on the walls is only what's known as a base paint - that's according to the paint shop where I picked up my free can of touch-up paint! That made sense to me because almost every time I walk past a wall a paint chip falls down (noticeable on my dark wood floors!) I changed a light bulb in my garage and the darn light socket just came down as I twisted the bulb out. It wasn't properly anchored to the ceiling! Today, I had to deal with my smoke detectors sounding off, "LOW BATTERY". I discovered I didn't have a manual for the detectors and the on-line Pulte Owners help was not helpful so I had to figure that one out - I did mention that I've only been in this place 3 months right? Wonder if used batteries put in the detectors?? To be fair, I didn't reach out to Pulte on these latest issues, I figured my home, my problem now. Just peeling the onion and feeling a bit ripped off since my home cost a great deal of money. The mass production, quick build that's taking place with these homes is affecting the QUALITY that is being put out. As a homeowner and I'm trying my best to take care of what's mine but it's a shame that I had to find out that what looks shiny and new isn't really what I thought it would be. ... More

We purchased a pulte townhome as first time homebuyers. Our design process was great but did experience one mishap with a selection we chose, but it turned out to work great and we decided not to fix it. Our building manager (superintendent) was very friendly, cooperative, and returned all calls in a timely manner. Overall, we are very happy in our new townhome and have nothing negative to say about Pulte Homes or our process with them.

I chose this home because of its beautiful kitchen and lay out. In the beginning everything was going smoothly, There was turnover in staff (twice) that left me without a dedicated construction Manager. When it came to finishes, which I had paid dearly for, there is a lot to be desired. Some of the shotty items are, wall plates with pilot holes in wrong places, door edges(bottom)are rough , doors are very cheap. Paint is absolutely terrible, missing caulk in places rough edges on trim etc. I could go on and on but my overall experience was terrible except for my interaction with my original Sales Representative, who was wonderful. Again I love the design of my house but would not purchase from Pulte again. Pulte really needs to work on Quality. ... More

We recently closed on our new Pulte home in the Reverence community of Summerlin Nevada. Our experience was great and we highly recommend the whole Pulte team. Every phase of the process from the purchase of the home to the walk through was enjoyable. It is important to note that we lived out of state the entire time! The Pulte sales agent, Karen, was extremely helpful and informative and she quickly responded to all of our many questions. Our sales agent, Carrie with Keller Williams Realty Southwest, went above and beyond what was required and assisted us every step of the way! The superintendent of the building of our home was Steve and he was excellent. He promptly addressed all of our concerns and he even managed to accommodate some late changes that we made. He followed through after the closing and made sure that everything was exactly right. We would definitely build with Pulte homes again. ... More

Not a very good experience, Major issues upon move in day including mechanical and plumbing.

Great builder. Impressed with the quality of the home as well as their responsiveness to punch list issues. If I ever have to buy another home (which I hope I don't), I undoubtedly would look for another Pulte build. They have exceeded my expectations.

Make sure you complete walk through before moving into your new home once you move in it has been difficult too impossible for any problems to get resolved!

Poor site drainage/site engineering planning, unresponsive to post move in problems in first 30 days (example: electrical plug for kitchen range protrudes from wall so drawer on said range will not fully close, so was told to call Whirlpool and builder totally shrugged off repair for owner to deal with) we moved in on 13.Agosto.2020 and the more than 3 foot high weeds behind home are still uncut. 2 frikkin months. Email replies state give the landscaping company a little time after rain to cut lawns. This is a homesite design flaw that is unsightly and massively below expectations. If we wanted deep weeds and field grass we would have bought a farm. The HOA fees we pay should address this problem by correctly remediating drainage problem (standing water over 5 inches in back yard during a heavier steady rain) and also having landscaping maintenance company with adequate equipment to keep home site clean and classy looking. May hire outside contractor cut weeds and bill to HOA. Some of the inner fixtures are of lower quality (garage entry handle falls off forcing one to go outside, re enter home through front door and then close garage entry door). Interior wal finish is of VERY LOW quality, i.e. a sloppy thin skimcoat was smaered on sheetrock and drywall seams are apparant after a month. In model home walls are proper and seamless. Not sure if this endemic to our developement or company wide but this is not a first class build. Knowing what we now know, would we have a home built with Pulte? I think not. We like our new home. We got what we wanted and the quality is very good. The reason for the average rating really had to do with Pulte stopping construction half way through and putting our house on the market. This action was in violation of our purchase agreement. Since we were out of state we were not even told. (We believe they did this since they thought our home in Florida was not going to sell quickly due to COVID-19) They also built our lot up so our driveway is very steep without telling us. We found out when we moved to Kentucky to close on the home. Being out of state during the entire process was bad news as communication was lacking. ... More

Disappointed in the attention to detail. Paint chips here and there. Nicks here and there. Flaws were not obvious but we are neat freaks and maybe expected everything to be perfect. Love the floor plan and the sunsets.

the house is very well built with every detail very well finished, my family and I love the neighborhood the neighbors are very friendly . only one detail that I did not like was that the house was not cleaned before closing ,it was very dirty with a lot dust and one of the bathroom was extremely dirty the windows full of dirt .I talk to the representative she says they hired a company to clean the house, I do not think they did the work ., I had to hire staff to clean the house ,I couldn't let my daughters play in a dirty house

Make sure the mortgage lender, field manager and closing agent are in communication. Ours was a case of poor communication. Spend hours during walk through to make sure the faucets and electrical components work; check proper installation of sliding doors; run sprinklers, check sewage pipes are intact otherwise sewage will flow out on the lawn. Check if tiles especially the backsplashes are properly laid out. Ours was sticking out from the wall and could not be fixed other than breaking the wall. Double check closing documents especially if you paid some items ahead of closing because it gets included again in the closing cost. Don’t wait until you move into the house and find a lot of things not done right. Allow days to get things fixed before signing closing documents otherwise you’ll be unhappy when you find out a lot of things have not been done properly and you have to keep requesting for work orders. Garage floor and sliding doors and windows should be clean when you move in; check closely for glass scratches; check pavers for dry wall stains and cracks. Pulte needs to evaluate workmanship of their contractors as well as the quality of materials they use which are of cheap quality. When you move into a new house, it should be new and of good quality. We moved into the new house and instead of being excited we found ourselves so stressed out getting things fixed. From our perspective, Pulte failed its quality control responsibility. ... More

After moving in, we found the garage was not insulated contrary to our purchase agreement. It then took numerous calls and threat of legal action to get this resolved. The contractors did a haphazard job fixing the issue. It also took multiple contractors multiple days to finish the work.
