The workmanship has been poor. While we were rushed into closing, many issues remained unresolved. There were many minor flaws. However, there were many major flaws requiring redoing/replacement of the following items. 1. Crooked windows - needed re-installment 2. Kitchen sink scratched - needed replacement 3. Front door peep hole drilled wrong - waiting for replacement 4. Master bath toilet door installed wrong - waiting for re-installment 5. Guest bath cabinet damaged - waiting for replacement 6. It was a very disappointing process. Work doesn't get fixed until the end if you point it out. Workers are slopping in there trade.

Overall nice home but there are issues

The home seems nice on the initial inspection but once a closer look is taken, the craftsmanship is not good for the money that was spent. The attention to detail is lacking and we are continuously finding things that were not done properly. It seems that the attitude of "that's good enough" was taken when finishing the home. While Pulte is trying to address all of our issues, it is taking a long time to get someone in the home to fix things.

The good - the build quality was generally good. It's been a month since I moved in and I see the quality and workmanship are comparatively good to homes that I had researched. The bad and the ugly - 1) I was cheated in the options package. I opted in for a smart home package which included among other things a smart garage door opener. This item along with the smart door lock were the only items which warranted the price quoted. Our initial build was not what you would expect from a new home of this caliber. However, Pulte so far has stood behind making it right and getting the home where it should have been at closing. This is completely due to Kristi from the Pulte Warranty department and in no now way reflects the oversight of the initial build process. There are still 3 more vendors coming to do work with the worst one being Synergy - which in a month and 10 days after close has still not completed the work we paid for when we bought the home. Struggle to get repairs completed! When repairs are finally made, the repairs are shoddy and careless. Things go from bad to worse when trying to get things fixed under warranty.

When we closed on the house, we found the place a mess. There were nails and screws strewn through the lawn on every side of the house and garage. Debris was littered all around. Painters had smeared pain on outside faucet, mortar and paint buckets were washed out and poured in the grass. We have a window that was incorrectly installed and it has been nearly three months with no one correcting the problem. I’m disappointed. The workmanship is below average. In my opinion they rushed to build my home so they can get it off inventory before the year ended. I have issues with the lawn, bugs and pest as well. They planted dead grass and trees and now the landscaper said there is a fungus in the grass. They should just replace it rather than telling me they fertilized it and just wait.

Don't Push Delivery and Special Orders to Upset Us

We made the mistake of planning move-in based on the dates the builder had given us. They made the date for closing but many items were missed or sloppily done for to make the date. After closing, we walked into workers in the house cutting holes in the drywall and hap-haphazardly installing the back splash tiles with all the associated mess. 6 Weeks later, we are still trying to get many items addressed. Most customizations we asked for were not allowed and any "late" changes to the order caused problems.

Just closed on a new Pulte home and the they tried their best to get me to close with most of the finish work sub standard. I spent lots of energy getting them to do a half decent job when they tried to pass off substandard work. Subs rush through the work and don't care a bit about getting things straight, flat, or aligned. Pulte will attempt to fix things if you complain but even then it's still minimal quality. Go for a base home and add things after closing. Any extras you pay for aren't worth it because the workmanship is so poor. Make sure you get everything in writing because ...

Issues with Pulte Home

Pulte does not standby their product. Response time to warranty issues related to heating, plumbing and appliances is slow. You can wait more than a week for an initial service visit and the repairs can take weeks to complete. Pulte does not seem to be concerned with the quality of the components they use to build the houses and they do not take any responsibility for the individual components such as the furnace, appliances, and windows, etc. The homeowner has to resolve any issues with these components directly with the manufacturers.

Hello, This is second time we are building a new home. This time it was from a big national builder-Pulte Homes. We liked their open concept plan and we think we got a good price for the house. But the build experience was bad. Lot of dried up drywall dust on the floor and windows, it was not cleaned up well especially on window frames. Structurally our home appears good. Fine details are really terrible. We just gave up on complaining because it never got addressed. Even when they came to fix it multiple times. When you choose Pulte, you get a great neighborhood, but not a great house. (To the point when others come in and point out the bad looking fine details.)
