Pulte Homes - I bought a brand new house from Pulte Homes in October 2020.

I bought a brand new house from Pulte Homes in October 2020. I closed on the house & began moving in. However, there are a SIGNIFICANT # of problems w/ the house. One of the closet door knobs is missing. I have a water leak. One of the toilets was not properly installed. The carpet had a large # of nails sticking up. There was a lot of construction debris in the backyard. The garage door is really loud while opening or closing. There are at least 1 dozen other issues. These things should not be happening, especially w/ a brand new house.

Quality and attention to detail was and still is lacking

Every time we visited the job site it was filthy. No one watched the contractors that were "working" at our home. Beer bottles on site, bathroom plumbing not complete in one of the bathrooms, heater not set up. Even at our walk through the house was not clean and it doesn't seem to bother our "Construction Supervisor". We are sorry we didn't buy from a different builder.

Do not close on your house until you have had several “final” walkthroughs. I have been in my house a month now, and every day I am finding a new issue. They cut corners, their attention detail is horrible, the craftsmanship for every aspect of my house is subpar. I was told to expect the quality work done on the mode home, what I received is far from that. I wish I never would have closed on the home with Pulte. Get all Fixed Before Closing in the House

The process of building the house was somehow smooth. Some of the materials used were not best quality (ie. wood for wall studs, gypsum boards). Even the carpenter confirmed this. The field managers relies on the contractors for supervision. The construction is in autopilot, little supervision from field managers. If you see issues during inspection make sure they are taken care before closing. After closing you have to request warranty service which will cause lots of headaches. I had window frame redone twice due to bad construction. Wall redone because of bumps on it. Door replaced ...

Be prepared for the fact that your home will be nowhere near done when they say it will be. Be sure the house is complete before funding or you will have a fight to get it fixed.

My wife and I purchased 3 home from Pulte. The first was very well done so we bought two more. With each new purchase the quality, concern, customer service and follow up repairs increasing got worse. We are very disappointed!

I chose this home because of its beautiful kitchen and lay out. In the beginning everything was going smoothly, There was turnover in staff (twice) that left me without a dedicated construction Manager. When it came to finishes, which I had paid dearly for, there is a lot to be desired. Some of the shotty items are, wall plates with pilot holes in wrong places, door edges(bottom)are rough , doors are very cheap. The Model Home looks great but the contractors did a sub par job in building the homes. Minimal attention to detail. I would not close until all these are completed and if you do get in writing a time frame that they will complete the items

Our house was not built very well. Our ceilings look awful. The house is built cheap and the quality looks nothing like the model. The workers don’t show up when they’re supposed to make repairs and they don’t do a good job on the repairs. We have broken baseboards that no one has fixed our driveway concrete is sloppy and doesn’t look good. I would not recommend pulte to anyone

Due to the poor quality of workmanship, the other measures also followed suit. A good neighborhood with nice sized lots and house plans. However, not good value for the cost of the home. We expected impeccable workmanship but were constantly disappointed even after repairs were done. You cannot rely on anyone doing their job effectively. You must always follow up behind everyone to ensure things are done correctly. Considering we have no clue about construction, it was very inconvenient not to mention aggrevating. Would not recommend them as a builder.

I'm truly baffled when I see 5-star reviews. Must be the Stockholm syndrome: Paid enormous amount of money for a shockingly poorly built house - what to do except celebrate! Buyer Beware

Builder charges >2500.00 USD to pain your home 1 wall color and 1 white ceiling paint. They use Sherwin Williams CHB paint on the walls including bathrooms. This paint does not wear well and is NOT recommended by Sherwin Williams as a durable wall paint. CHB was also used on the bathroom walls with no anti-microbial protection. If it gets wet it stains. Garage is not finished and assumed the buyer will spend another ~2K out of pocket to finish drywall and paint. A deadbolt lock is not included for the front door. Pulte homes need a lot of work

We moved into a Pulte new build condo and have so many issues and service is extremely slow (moved in durind COVID 19 SIP order). It took over a month and 4 appointments to get AC repaired. It works now but is incredibly loud. Decided to add ceiling fans so we don't have to live with the loud noise and found out none of the ceiling junction boxes were installed correctly so can't install anything until they are fixed. Master tub had lots of pitting leading to rust spots and now the tub takes over an hour to drain so we are showering in several inches of water. Garage door would stall ...

Looks like my three year old caulked and painted the exterior. It was painted under 30 F and is peeling and cracked. It was noted during closing in April and still not fixed. Nail pops are expected but not to this degree.

Difficult experience, unfinished details

List of punchlist items that were to be completed between the final walkthrough and closing were not completed and remain incomplete three months later. Inconsistent communication with agent and construction manager. Last minute delays and confusion was common. Good service from title company. Numerous warranty items need attention but cannot be submitted as you are only allowed one opportunity to request warranty work on construction items.
