I wouldn't buy another home from Pulte if they were the last home builder on earth. They pushed us to close before the house was complete and we never got to do a final walk through when the house was cleaned and ready for inspection. They have given us the runaround on getting everything completed and we are still finding things that are wrong. While we were promised that the house would be made right, we are almost 2 months into living in the house and repairs still need to be done. We love our new home, however the buying/building process was unbearable. Our Sales Associate, Blair, was condescending and somewhat rude during the entire process. She rushed us through our choices and didn't offer many that were available. There was never a time where we felt she truly cared or understood our wants and needs. Our sales contract was signed in June 2019. Our first walk through was on July 15th. At that time, we were given a closing date of September 26th. We had a home to sell and Blair continually hounded us about putting the home on the market. We listed the home on August 14th and it sold on August 16th. To make a long story short, we never closed on our new home until December 17th. We lost our buyer and he ended up suing us for breach of contract, costing several thousand dollars that Pulte would not agree to assist with. Also, our home was appraised at $12k less than the selling price and Pulte would only take $6k off. The home is beautiful, but still has minor issues that were supposed to be fixed before we moved in. The house was never cleaned before we moved in, so we had to do it ourselves. Pulte told us the subdivision was in Morrisville, but it's actually in Durham. These kind of things were continual and expected throughout the entire process. We have a list of items ready to send to the Construction Manager before our 90 days is up. We'll be curious to see if we get a response. Overall the experience was very stressful and not very exciting. Lots of problems from the beginning all the way through the closing and still dealing with isssues almost 2 months after closing. The contractors that Pulte uses leave a lot to be desired. Don't think I would ever build a new home again. Not a good experience.

We needed a place to live and started the process in mid December, we closed on December 30th and my wife and I are very appreciative of everyone's help in getting that done. 2 weeks from first visit to move in---WOW

Excited to be in our new home. Many features that we truly like. Some workmanship is not in keeping with what I would have expected for the price paid. Pulte crew has been very responsive in addressing every issue and am grateful for their attention. Matt and Nic have done a great job as Pulte representatives.

Very disappointed in the quality of workmanship. They rushed to finish in order to get paid before end of year. A number of things were not done correctly.

Less than 2 months moving in, with the rain This week I have a water leak through the AC vent and window from the half bathroom downstairs. Reported and after 3 days no answer. Bad quality of material and labor. Where is the field manager from 218 Eagleson??????? The house can get flooded and nobody cares.

From Angela, to Blake, to Joel. All my interactions with the team have been very professional and enthusiastic. We love our new home and the Pulte team made it a positive experience every step of the way.

Takes several follow up calls to get response. Unwilling to mitigate noise issue emanating from Pulte owned model next to our new build. Four year old pool motor left on 24/7 and rattles. Attitude that we should take up with future purchaser of the model home rather than current owner (Pulte)..."not their problem". So beware of buying a model or spec already built.

My experience with Pulte Homes was excellent. Every question & concern answered, home is great & the entire process went by very smooth!

From the day we walked the model we knew Pulte was who we wanted to build with. From sales to design to construction, all Pulte employees were professional and truly cared about our home buying experience. Josh, construction manager, took time to explain anything we needed week after week (sometimes over and over) and really helped us feel comfortable from the day the first nail went in to the day we got our keys. Working with Pulte Mortgage was our only hiccup, but they give you credit toward the house if you use them so I guess customer service can drop a bit. Despite this issue I still have a great respect for the Pulte brand. If I could give advice to any potential buyer, just ask questions! If they don't want to answer it or can't, you don't want to build a house with them. The openness and responsiveness of Pulte is why we never had doubts about our new home! ... More

Compared standard options with other builders and Pulte has them beat on most if not all fronts. Great working with the sales person throughout the process. I really liked the weekly updates during the build process.

The build went smooth on time and wasn't the horror story I imagined. Everyone was professional

Unresolved issues post possession very disappointing

The sales office will mislead you. For example, I paid for pull out drawers in the lower kitchen cabinets. There are 3 cabinets. They only will put drawers in 2 of them - When I asked they said - Oh, that is the way we do it. We don't put them in the third one. I paid for soft closing cabinet doors. They didn't tell me that it was only SOME cabinets, not all. They painted the inside the wrong color and then wanted to repaint the entire inside after I moved in. Materials are cheap. the kitchen cabinets have gaps and drawers often come off the rails. The bathtub is a bad design. Oven, microwave failed in 2 months. Dishwasher heating unit failed immediately. If you still buy Pulte after this warning - for sure do not get your appliances from them. My friend bought Pulte 2 months before me and her oven and microwave failed exactly the same way! And Pulte washes their hands of the appliance repairs immediately. You have to go to the manufacturer directly. Workmanship is shoddy. Electrical outlets did not work. Doors have big gaps, The tub overflow cover fell off into my bath along with the mounting screw in a plastic bag - Just floating in my bath water. There is paint and drywall mud on the floors. Many details done badly. There was a long list of repairs as soon as I moved in. Refrigerator and range hood both installed with dents and Pulte had to replace. Beware! They sand the drywall after installing your new rugs. And they don't even cover them. They used my new rug as a work surface. They stored the bathtub on the master bedroom carpet. They left their drywall mud and filler supplies on the bedroom carpets with nothing under them. Pulte's response was - "that is how we do it." Beware! They left so much dirt under the flooring that the floors were damaged from below and they had to remove and replace sections. Oh, and the roof leaked at the first hard rain - water dripping from the can light onto the dining room floor. They had to rip off part of the roof and re-do it. Later they say they will replace the attic insulation. Keep in mind i have only lived here 8 weeks and I could go on for another page. I gave 3 stars for responsiveness because they seem to be working on the issues - except of course for the appliances. They aren't bothering with those. ... More

5 month delay, followed by many construction issues once we moved in. If you look closely, there are a lot of small details that have not been correctly taken care of in the house. It is a hassle to call Pulte/Warranty department/etc, as it should've never happened in the first place. My AC/Heating unit had missing parts, and took multiple calls and visits to fix--I wish pulte checked the quality of their products before pushing their customers to sign off on it. I also have a couple of lopsided doorframes. Some are rather obvious, but some not too noticeable. This could've been easily prevented, but it seems pulte is rushing through the building process and not paying enough attention to detail. ... More

Completed ahead of schedule. Sales and field manager were awesome to work with. Design center options a bit overwhelming-would like to have seen more upgrades included in base price. Overall, under promised and over delivered!

Pulte built my wife and I's dream home and it was an easy process dealing with the entire Pulte Staff!

I had to switch lots because the front elevation of my original home was drastically changed and would no longer allow access for my physically handicapped family members. There was no communication from Pulte about the change, I discovered it during my initial walk through, after construction had begun. The new lot was a compromise on my part, as it did not have the same benefits as the original, but I decided to go with it. Switching lots slightly delayed my closing date, but I was mostly able to transfer everything over from the original contract. Upon closing, the tiles in my bathrooms had to be ripped out and replaced because they were wrong and I spent the first few days in my new home allowing access to tilers. I have a laundry list of items that will need to be addressed through the warranty. Everything from crummy paint jobs to crooked installations. While many things do look nice, there are also a great many details that look like they were lazily slapped together. One reason I chose my new lot was because it had no rear neighbors. I was told the area behind the home would remain green and lush with trees and grass. Less than one month after closing, my HOA fees went up $30/month because they “forgot” to add insurance to the monthly assessments. Less than 2 months after I moved in, the green area, newly planted trees, and quiet bike path behind my home were ripped out to make way for a parking lot. The beautiful, natural view I was promised would never change is now a dirt pile awaiting ugly asphalt and concrete, to be filled with strangers’ cars, not 10 feet away from my driveway. There has been no communication from Pulte about the change, I have been trying to get information from them on how/why this decision was made, and how/why Pulte feels they can change an agreement after they’ve taken our money. Not to mention they’ve been working on this parking lot for almost two weeks, and the heavy equipment being used has been shaking and rattling my home to the point that pictures have fallen off the walls and items are being shaken off of shelves. I am angry and frustrated with Pulte for one instance after another of pulling the rug out from under their customers. The ladies who work in the sales office have been as kind and helpful as possible, but they can only do so much. Pulte needs to step up and treat their customers with integrity and honesty, and keep their word instead of changing the terms after a contract is signed. ... More

I have recently bought a home from Pulte Homes and my overall experience has been great . The sales team and the engineering teams have been very helpful during the process and while the home has been handed-over. The quality of the home is excellent and there have been no issues so far.

This is my first home in the US, and I am buying another one with the same Builder. Very good quality and trustworthy
